average. a couple famous riffs I had no clue before where they came from.

A little underwhelmed with the album as a whole - wanted to like it more as I've always thought Cheap Trick was great. Surrender is a 20 top song of all time for me.

a couple bangers but generally just middling for me. not really my thing, funk/disco sound.

Love Brazilian music, don't get Frank Sinatra.

Great album. Can't believe I've never even heard of the band before. Nick Lowe vibes. Another Girl, Another Planet reminded me of something, but then I found out Blink182 covered it - seems right.

never really been an eagles fan but have to say I liked this album. nightingale is a song I had not heard before that I really liked.

just don't really care for Janis Joplin.

an album people like because of the story, not because it's actually good

decent album. interesting that The Food is on the album, because it was originally on the Chapelle Show but then didn't make the DVD due to rights issues.

decent punk album. doesn't blow my socks off but don't hate it either. sounds pretty much like what I'd expect an early 80s punk album to sound like.

not a fan of RHCP but have to admit this is a pretty good album. even the songs that aren't top 40 hits are solid. like it more than I expected.

I've only recently come around to early Beatles. After all these years I think I can finally say this is a pretty great album.

it's okay - I just can't get into Kraftwerk....and I like techno.

great album - gimmie shelter obviously the star (and one of the all time great songs to lead off an album). the rest of the album is just okay by me, but still a solid stones album.

on the first song I swore I was listening to some German industrial... and that's before he was talking about taking Berlin. and I didn't think I was going to like this album, then it surprised me. not something I'd put on a lot but I dig it.

I started out thinking I was going to like this a lot. Then it went downhill. The songs all sound a like and the droning that I enjoyed for the first couple tracks quickly became grating. The cover of Downtown is particularly odd.

actually can't say I've listened to any part of the album other than the hits. I'm shocked how much I like the balance of the album. deserves it's credit.

I like morrisey but his music is just so odd to me. not sure how I feel about this album.

Classic album - not my favorite Pink Floyd era (so personally would give it a 4) but bumping it up to a 5 anyways because likely the best Rock Opera of all time

Had not listened to much Willie Nelson, or much classic Country music. Really liked it. Would listen to more of the Red Head Stranger in the future.

Masterpiece. Among the top 5 albums of the last 20 years. Some of the songs on here are in the all-time pantheon. I might argue Tunnels is my favorite opening track on any album, ever.

Wow. I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this album. First, I've seen Dylan in concert twice, both times it was terrible and ruined my opinion of him. Second, this is an era of his I've never listened to before. This album is great. Masterpiece.

Only listened to the first disc - couldn't stomach 3 hours of it. Might go down after the first disc, so 3 is perhaps generous. I did like what I heard though.

I liked it. The highs are really high and the rest of it is pretty solid 50's rock. Don't know if I can justify giving it more than a 3 though, but liked it.

3 pretty big hits are great; the rest just okay (all sounds alike). not great, not terrible.

Some of my favorite Hendrix songs are on here (i.e. Castles Made of Sand), but this is probably my least favorite Hendrix album. Just not that deep.

surprisingly really enjoyed this album. thought Leaving Las Vegas and Strong Enough back to back was really great. I always forget that Sheryl Crow is older than you think (was in her 30s in the early 90s) - which makes some of the references to the 60s in the songs make a lot more sense.

Didn't like this as much as Blood on the Tracks. Like a Rolling Stone is hard to beat. Actually like both ends of the album as Desolation Row is also classic

A let down, more like 'this album is rubbish'. Thought this album would be better. There were a few songs that I liked but this basically confirms I come out on the Oasis side of the ledger.

decent album. not my favorite not the worst. I really dislike Aerosmith though, so will never get over walk this way.

wanted to think this was better - but wasn't crazy about it. the fact that it has hurt (one of the best songs ever written) meant I had to give it a 3, otherwise it might have gotten a 2.

Really enjoyed this album. Only the second National album I've heard. Found this one far less depressing. Reminded me of Joy Divison/New Order at times.

Never heard of the Saints before but I really liked this. An album that is 40 years old but feels like it could have been made yesterday. Enjoyable all around.

Love this album. As into Britpop as I was, I cannot believe that I've never hear of this album, nor the band. I don't know I can give it a 5 but it's an album I'd come back to over and over.

Has a funky feel to it. Really a smooth jazz album more than anything else. I feel like I'd enjoy this is a dark martini bar.

Great album, falls just short of a masterpiece to me. Amazing the sounds that Hendrix could get out of his guitar.

Just not a fan of the Clash. And if I was going to listen to an album it'd be Combat Rock. I suppose this probably influenced a lot of artists in the 70s but just sounds dated.

great album. just totally imbued with the sound of voodoo and the swamps. love zydeco and this is way at the top for me.

know that people have a high feelings for wire but I just don't get this late 70s punk at all.

The definitive Christmas album for me. I don't even like Christmas music but if I was going to listen to one this would be it. Just a huge wall of sound throughout.

Wow. Great album. Group I have heard spoken about a lot, and now I get it. Put this up there with Tribe Called Quest as some of my favorite rap progenitors.

unlike my wife, I don't hate Yes. but I thought this was a pretty average album. one really great song, but the rest was generic prog rock.

nothing special, until I got to heard it through the grapevine. one of the craziest covers I've ever heard...loved it.

realizing I think there is only one great Pulp song. remember when this album came out and it got a lot of accolades, not sure why.

Average. I get that people like that it is supposed to be a rock opera, but only a couple of the songs are any good. Green Day was better before they got political.

it's a good album because it is Radiohead, but it will never crack my top 3, or even top 5, albums by them. I preferred both their more guitar and electronica driven albums.

just average. there were two songs where i said, they are ripping off Champagne Supernova and High and Dry. Then I found out this album came out first. Maybe more influential than i realized.
