i mean it’s the rolling stones so of course they’re influential but not their best work. the songs were just incredibly repetitive to a very obnoxious point. nothing much to say other than that.

oh my god. why why WHY how is this influential. this is the worst album ever. the voice- awful. and the background? i cant even call it music. why is there screeching. it hurt my ears. this is not good in ANY way. the first song was just boring but it got progressively terrible each song after I did not enjoy this album for even a second I don’t understand how this is influential in anyway. sorry 😞

at first i couldn’t decide whether to give a 1 or 2 but now i know it’s a 1 because it was just awful. the album felt so ling even though it was 40 minutes. and the songs were just so awkward, the song without words just had humming and it was un listenable.

i would give this album a 7/10 if i could. i love it overall and i love the music and singing and it together but it isn’t incredibly fascinating to me, but a 3 is too low and 4 is too high. i’m really conflicted, but nothing completely STUCK out to me which is why it’s a three.

Obviously I was familiar with the song Clint Eastwood, but other than that I don’t think I recognized any. It wasn’t a bad album- it had some interesting aspects to it, however it just wasn’t anything spectacular. I’d listen again but not excitingly.

I don’t think there was good rhythm so if I didn’t know some songs I wouldn’t have liked- but since I did that caused me to sing along and enjoy.

I really did not like the sound of this, his voice is so sleepy and drowsy I don’t really know what else to say. I’m very familiar with him as we’ve had many of his albums and he never really clicked for me.

i liked the voice at first but after a lot of the croaks i got annoyed. impressive at first but then it got boring real fast. the music was definitely a very cool sound- especially in the song what’s the hurry- gave doctor who vibes. i’m pretty torn on this because i’ve been trying to lessen the 3s i give out but honestly it evened out to be pretty average.

Such a good shock how much I loved this. Never would have thought that- I only knew Sledgehammer (which is honestly a 10/10 song, nothing missing) and in your eyes, but wow this is a good album. Every song was different from the previous but it had such a nice flow. There was such a diversity but it all fell under the same genre and it was good. I’ve never listened to this album in full but it’s definitely a great one. I usually reserve 5 stars for albums Im familiar with, but this one left me really wanting more. This music was definitely unique. It was different from itself everywhere and it was interesting, however the type of music was everything I don’t like unfortunately. I can see the influence it’s had because of the experimental sounding and combination however none of the songs were good.

When I awoke to see the being the album I was definitely disappointed simply because it’s not something I’m used to or desire usually. However that’s the whole point of this, to be exposed to new music styles and genres. Given that, I think this album leaned toward the “okay, and” side for me but at points it was nice to listen to. It’s definitely a conflicting rating because I did really vibe but I just don’t think it compares to a lot of the incredibly significant albums on this list. I feel a 6/10.

The first time around I think I was just half paying attention, but the second time I really got to appreciate it. This was just a silly album to me. I am kind of bothered by the amount of ‘meh’ albums I’ve had in the past couple weeks but this is what it is. Nothing inspiring about this but it just went by super fast and blah blah blah. Gimme something GOOD!

Right off the bat I knew this would be a tough one to get through. This sounds like the first take of a band in some sort of basement- a very rough draft that for some reason they decided was good enough to produce. I hated every second and was continuously going back to see how many songs I had left. Voice is horrible, music just added on. No chemistry between vocals and instrumentals.

This shockingly wasn’t AS horrible as I had thought it would be, and I recognized a lot more songs than I thought I would. Don’t get me wrong I still hated the voice and everything but it wasn’t as bad as I had expected.

To my absolute incredible SHOCK: I didn’t hate this album. I went into it assuming I would because of my previous experience with the Pixies. It definitely could be worse. I found myself not wincing to their songs, different than usual, and being rather content. I think that it’s not something I would normally listen to on my own time, but I wasn’t horrified by it being on the list. I think with more time I could learn to maybe like.

I immediately was entranced by this album. I absolutely loved the diversity within each song and I really did not know what to expect next. I definitely really vibes with a couple of the songs, I think more towards the beginning, but they were definitely a vibe. I could also see so much influence and similarities between so much music older and younger than them so I 100% understood influence. I liked it. 7/10.

When we got the Bee Gees, I expected some 70/80s sounding disco, not this. It was an unexpected and interesting surprise, honestly. I think it was a tad too far fetched in hope that I would love it and it got a little strange and meh but it was good.

I very much appreciated the shortness to this album. Overall, I think that it was too monotone and bleh for me. It sounded boring and didn't contribute much to me as a person. I think I sorta(?) get the influence, but not a huge amount. I don't know- I feel like there are a lot more albums I would put ahead of this one.

To my own shock- I didn't necessarily dislike this album. I think some part of this, despite it having a tad of a "twang" I actually enjoyed. I think that there is something different with The Byrds than other albums this genre etc. Just was fun and different than what I expected.

I don’t believe I’ve ever listened to more than one song consecutively, and after listening to this entire album I believe I know why. All I got from this was boring monotone BLAH that made me tired and very bored. I was definitely expecting a lot more upbeat given the amount of success and fame they have, and the crowd their fans consist of. I have to say I am disappointed. I do recognize their significance and there influence, but I can’t really get behind the why.
