very good funk album
calming, soothing, relaxing. deep but at the surface, very expressive.
BEST ALBUM EVER.
WE GOONE BE AIGHT
experimental for sure. can't say I would recommend this though , as it's very out there rock. ahead of their time, sure, but hindsight is 20-20.
Morrissey reminds me of what makes him a special singer. being able to dive into the deep of your emotions with a soothing, calming demeaner.
this won't be for everyone, as it's very 'simple' if you want to call it that on the surface. underneath however, is a mesmerizing DnB album that can be played today and would still be very welcoming.
this is hot fire, burns up into a crisp after the 1st track. nothing else is worth mentioning.
green fret, red fret, yellow fret, blue fret, orange fret.
fundamental to hiphop.
felt 60s movie-esque.
good album, not something I would re-visit personally
was good sounding for the first few tracks, however, interest was at a low by the 1/2 way point of the album. found the sounds of the album interesting however,
i just don't like the beach boys. beatles are better.
first few tracks were good, and rest of the album was okay.
very classic feeling country. nanci's voice flows cathartically through the entire run time. lots of peaks and valleys of different emotions, life events, etc that make me want to find a bit more about her.
some 2000s baby fucking music
you know, I wasn't quite familar with you but damn you can fucking sing.
so. many. bongos. I like it for productive background music lol
I feel like I have to like this album. it is a OK album, nothing that puts me way over the top.
Radiohead. Wannabe
good vocals, as always with Morrissey.
again, Pixies has a strong first 1/2 of the album, then just fades. 3
something like explosions in the sky, but not something I would actively return to.
very psychedelic. very trippy. I like it.
Thriller-esque these nuts. this shit sucks.
For sure good dark rock.
inspired an entire wave of 90s rap. not that radio play, but poetry with at times hyperbolic enthusiam. one of the best to ever do it, ODB. RIP.
cool concept. movie-soundtrack without the movie.
good album, as a debut is very good. I get why they blew up even more with Toxicity right after, as this was a very good debut. not a lot of tracks to skip, some good ones - Spiders, Suite-Pee, and War?
groundwork foundation of what would become 80s styled 'laid-back' rock. pretty cool
great garage rock album. lot of angst within the lead singer. would recommend the full album to others, very in your face and unapologetic.
why he is the godfather.
yeah not for me.
first time listening to Billy Joel. His influence of the Beatles-esque music is clear first song, and I for one am a fan of his now. This album is very catchy, with ominous lyrics that can confuse others who aren't that quick.
I had heard quite a bit of Christina growing up, and this album really doesn't take you back to the 20s. I understand the entire project is a callback and its own interpretation of the 20s, and enjoyable to listen to for it being that. outside, however, most if not all the songs on the list sound trapped in their own time and are not going to be remembered after a few years.
somewhat OK but not mainly my taste.
like the electronic vibes on this soundtrack. May have to check out the movie sometime.
disco died appropriately as it was getting too repetitive. slow sounds making me feel some way.
really solid album, have some cuts that are not 'we got the beat' which are solid like Automatic and Tonight.
this is trash. so far it's been a very cheap 'Dylan' and a poor attempt to be 'depressed and unbothered'.
sad its Raekwon's best solo piece outside of the Wu. STUPID production, lyrics have you re-reading like your favorite book over and over again.
not bad for a trippy, sigh of rock.
pretty mellow.
experimental in an era where psychedelics were the rage and to be able to stand out makes Jimi one of the best to ever do it with the backwards guitar.
fresh, revival of second life for LL. made him a 'hardcore' rapper, at the time.
wow, okay one of the better country sound that pioneered the Western sound of the 50s.
not a bad album, just not for me.
blues rock from the UK. got a song or two that's good.
meh.
meh. the return of meh.
so far, nothing catchy or great I wouldn't hear outside the local Starbucks. this shit is slow and boring.
I can see why this was popular in the 90s as it was very radio and commercial friendly 'dance' music. of course it goes without saying, it made one of the best songs when I was growing up, groove is in the heart. overall, good work.
quite a enjoyable album, with sounds that would make the time go by. would recommend if hiking, or just enjoying a nice early morning reading of the morning news.
what a fucking gem. what a fucking masterclass of an album. arguably one of the better RadioHead albums. 4/5
boring as -
first time listening to a full De La Soul record as it was one of the last artists not on streaming. overall a very 90s hip-hop art album, which was trying to build off the roots that ATCQ dug into the 90s. overall solid project, would revisit one in a while.
very good live performance, had the crowd begging for more James Brown. solid piece that should have everyone listen to in regards of a live album.
amerikkkas most wanted still remains one of his best work. The Predator comes in a time where the genre as a whole was still in the height of 'gangsta' street music, and as much as Cube is the lyricist it just falls a bit flat with some of the same themes and tones from his prior work. Some noticeable classics that came from this record like It Was A Good Day and Check Ya Self.
overall a good jazz album that is quite laid back as it is quick. good show.
so far, it is a very laid-back album with lots of short forget-me songs. I do appreciate the cohesiveness that kind of reminds me of a non-Beatles, Beatles. I appreciate the easy listening that comes with this album, not something that is memorable.
Cash's final album will be something that showcases the entire catalog throughout his lustrous career. most are interpolations or covers of good well-known songs which isn't a slight at Cash. Throughout his entire life has been leading for an album like this, in which, his voice adds the haunting, dreary sense of someone who is finally coming to pass.
Morrissey still being Morrissey after all the years, still is a bop. he is still a piece of shit, but he can make good music.
pretty cool album, more of Air that is meant for a soundtrack or something.
pretty good ATCQ album, more of the funky jazz influence at times on this album. lyrics from Q and Phife come through on this that makes 'smart rap' good and cool.
very good Cuban music. I like that it can be played today and it doesn't sound like it was from a few years ago, much more than 30 or 40. very cool album
its a yes album. its a mid from me.
white people need to start making music like this again.
very surprising album with lots of good tracks. I couldn't tune out of the top 6 in the disk, although, the quality for me drops off at around th 10th song. after that it to me sounds quite repetitive
reminds me a lot of my childhood strangly enough.
it's not as the title suggests as Whatever. album is very basic, if you want to call it that, as there isn't many lyrics that don't go past the surface level, but that doesn't make it a bad thing. more of a radio friendly level of music, something that plays in the background when you're shopping at K-Mart.
number 9, number 9, number 9 ......turn me on dead man, turn me on dead man, turn me on dead man....some of the most out of left field music that came out of this album specifically. love this album so damn much.
Legit giving me 90s techno. Some album you would slap on your mixtape to try and get featured on Thrasher magazine.
the album that transformed my 6/7 year old brain into knowing about other music that could be hard and fast. growing up was 90s hiphop and spanish music, this is how I learned about music. this album is a pillar in defining the early 00s with their nu-metal sound. sure there was Korn and the like, but this was the first that truly went to #1 with their innovative orchestra of strings, beats and guitar riffs. Chester you will forever be missed. R.I.P.
ya know, I didn't give Stevie a lot of props. he's got that ear for sounds like a hawks has eyes for his kills.
