if your voice sounds remotely like Bob Dylan, its a no for me

Achtung Baby by U2
Jan 18 2025

At the first couple of seconds all that came to my mind was "Dollar store Dave Mathews Band" Don't know how they have a following.

Moving Pictures by Rush
Jan 19 2025

its a vibe. I really enjoyed it. nothing crazy but it was good.

Guero by Beck
Jan 21 2025

Honestly, I thought I was gonna hate it, but it was fun. It was like an identity confused version of Cake. not the best but it had a variety in the tracks and engaging enough to have in the background and not be a total nuisance.

Jan 22 2025

I did not expect to love this album as much as I would. I also didn't know all of the songs I already knew. It is by far my favorite album in this project. such a passionate and fun loving energy throughout the album, but not without substance. so good.

NEU! 75 by Neu!
Jan 23 2025

Most of it felt like a bunch of Sega Gensesis video game songs. This is like that hipster kid who tries unique stuff to be cool, but it mainly misses the mark. there are some cool things in here but not enough to warrant another listen.

Fever To Tell by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Jan 24 2025

Aimless album that seems to try to hard. the main redeeming element is that the album is shorter, and the annoying song don't completely overstay there welcome. Not offensive but I definitely won't listen to it again. Pin is definitely a lowlight. As someone else mentioned, 'Maps" actually site that bad. Seems to actually have come cohesion.

Talking Book by Stevie Wonder
Jan 25 2025

Soul is not necessarily my thing but Stevie Wonder is a good artist for those who want to give it a try

E.V.O.L. by Sonic Youth
Jan 26 2025

One day, a group of slam poets turned on a white noise maker picked up some instruments, recorded for forty minutes and released the album. and it is about as good as you would think

Armed Forces by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Jan 27 2025

The only thing redeeming about this album is that the songs are short. Elvis seem to want to pretend to be insightful but it just left with poor vocals and boring instrumentals.

Moon Safari by Air
Jan 28 2025

some good fun. nothing crazy, but it was entertaining and had some head bobs every once in a while.

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Jan 29 2025

Not entirely my thing but I enjoyed it for what it was. Norah is a great signer and the guitar added a nice accompaniment. Felt like if one of the dixie chicks went solo. not bad but not gonna be a stand out

Swordfishtrombones by Tom Waits
Jan 30 2025

Thought I would hate it but there were som ironic gems in this album. enjoyed Tom's jazzy tones. some songs worked better than others the middle part was definitely my favorite.

Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
Jan 31 2025

As soon as a saw the Beasty Boys, I rolled my eyes. I find them obnoxious and overrated. That being said, knowing what I was getting into, the beginning does not seem nearly as bad as I thought it would. It's typical Beasty Boys stuff but it helps that their popular songs aren't in this album so don't have any experience with these songs. Some good beats but overall I feel a little gross listening to it. Not exactly sure why, but the lyrics feel immature and no matter the song, the rhythm of the lyrics is the exact same. Da-da-da- ba ba ba- (insert background vocals) repeat. Tolerable but definitely won't be on the regular rotation. My perspective on this group is a little improved, but not by much. I'm torn between giving it a 2 or 3, but given the fact that I probably won't listen to it again minus maybe two songs im adding to my 'history of music playlist' Ill give it a 2.

Tres Hombres by ZZ Top
Feb 01 2025

Driving my Ford F150 through the Oklahoma plains. First two tracks are awesome, lulls a little until le grange, but I thoroughly enjoy this

OK by Talvin Singh
Feb 02 2025

As soon as the first two seconds entered my eardrums, I knew I would regret the next hour I was gonna spend. I find better stuff on Youtube study compilations. Glad I know It exists and I gave it a semblance of a shot, but ya.... no

Feb 03 2025

old queen is still good queen. you can tell they are beginning to find their voice, but have not fully committed it. As a queen album 3/5, but as an album that I really enjoyed it goes as an easy 5 for this.

On The Beach by Neil Young
Feb 05 2025

another enjoyable Neal Young tune.

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Feb 08 2025

Diet Metallica, not bad but have definitely heard before. Enjoyed it but I couldn't help think I have heard this before through different artists. 'Hallowed be thy name" is by far my favorite track, guitar is so good.

At Budokan by Cheap Trick
Feb 09 2025

Some of this felt very same compared to other stuff, but it Is done well. "surrender' and "I want you to want me' were obvious highlights. I feel like if I heard the studio version of this album I would give it a four, but because this is live and it is done so well, and indistinguishable from the studio version, It gets bumped to a five. Classic rock done well.

Tical by Method Man
Feb 10 2025

Rap is my favorite to begin with, there was one song I would like, but I don't think I would listen again. If I could give a 2.5 I would because it doesn't warrant a two but isn't good enough to be a three

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
Feb 11 2025

Not my thing but I can appreciate the technical goodness about it. Really smooth vocals, catchy enough beats. somewhat the same but I can't say it's anything special.

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
Feb 12 2025

feel like every song has something else to enjoy and unpack over multiple listens very good

Very by Pet Shop Boys
Feb 13 2025

First song I liked, the rest of the stuff sounds like incomprehensible techno babble. not my thing. easy two.

Dare! by The Human League
Feb 14 2025

nothing special but fun. 4

Beauty And The Beat by The Go-Go's
Feb 15 2025

fun, familliar inoffensive. Not bad but it seems like every track sounds familiar.

Central Reservation by Beth Orton
Feb 16 2025

Enjoyable songs with a very 90s vibe, enjoyed it a lot but not the best of the best.

G. Love And Special Sauce by G. Love & Special Sauce
Feb 17 2025

It sounds as if someone just discovered Garage band and just started playing with instrumental pre-sets and dusted off old slam poetry. I have a headache halfway through this album.... why do you do this to me?

Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Feb 18 2025

I mean.. come on.... It's Bob Marley! Not his most popular songs but all of them had such a nice bite of history. I feel like im listening to a time capsule of civil unrest all while still written to entertain, and this album is great at doing that.

Miriam Makeba by Miriam Makeba
Feb 19 2025

beautiful was very surprised,

Low-Life by New Order
Feb 20 2025

Opening two sounds were awesome. Weird songs that are certainly unique with a good 80s vibe. solid 4

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Feb 21 2025

Still going through it. The voices are distracting, but the political message is certainly historic and interesting to peak into an unknown piece of history I appreciated seeing. Music itself has good jazz, but again the vocals take something from me.

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Feb 22 2025

The highs are high and the lows are.... eh. I really loved the first four songs, then the rest of the album has some bright spots but nothing compared to the front quarter.

Feb 24 2025

I thought I was gonna be offended listening to this but it wasn't that bad, entertaining enough background noise but im not gonna go out of my way to listen anytime soon.

Mothership Connection by Parliament
Feb 25 2025

Didn't know what to expect but this was so much freaking fun. Lots of head bobbing. Funk isn't necessarily my thing but I can appreciate the music and how it works so well with all of the moving pieces, great piece of music

Stankonia by OutKast
Feb 27 2025

You see rap frustrates me a lot. I think the music is good, the rhythms are awesome, but why do most things need to be so crude? I loved so fresh and so clean, up until all of these innuendos started coming in. To be clear im not trying to be a puritan but none of these words say anything profound other than, they like sex. I loved ms Jackson, because it had substance and was speaking about life experience, and if there was a sexual reference it was serving a greater narrative. But as good as the music is, it is this self elevating crude language that makes me from enjoying more.

Feb 28 2025

not my thing. entertaining though. Good background Music for the first half. everything overstayed its welcome by the end

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Mar 01 2025

very entertaining, obvious messages which some are more heavy handed then others, but not bad

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Mar 02 2025

weird but fine

Roots by Sepultura
Mar 03 2025

2

Birth Of The Cool by Miles Davis
Mar 04 2025

you know that moment in the movie 'ratatouille' where Remy takes a bite of a piece of cheese and a strawberry and he sees these moving colors as the flavor reveals itself? ya this album is just that. one of the best of this early experiment.

The Hour Of Bewilderbeast by Badly Drawn Boy
Mar 05 2025

unique vibe that grows tiring pretty quickly.artistic and chill, but not enough to make it more than a 3

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Mar 07 2025

Enjoyed the first half a lot. Ozzy was fun. nothing crazy but fun

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Mar 08 2025
Planet Rock: The Album by Afrika Bambaataa
Mar 09 2025

I know the first song from playing NBA 2k for most of my life, so that was a fun surprise. otherwise it was some dun beats but nothing special

Superunknown by Soundgarden
Mar 11 2025

Ya, before I finish the album I know im gonna give it a five. Just such a good album Ive heard the famous ones like Black Hole Suns but the lesser known tracks were still super solid. Great Band RIP Chris Cornell

Shaka Zulu by Ladysmith Black Mambazo
Mar 12 2025

can't even to half the songs on spotify. so ill assume its a 3

Station To Station by David Bowie
Mar 14 2025

I know there are some amazing David bowie songs, but none of them were here. Good but not spectacular

Horses by Patti Smith
Mar 15 2025

only on the first song but I can tell this isn't gonna be my jam since this one is the most listened track on the album, ya im good

California by American Music Club
Mar 16 2025

dollar store jimmy buffet

It's A Shame About Ray by The Lemonheads
Mar 17 2025

This is fun. the sound is the same throughout the track but its got the 90's montage vibe, that is fun.

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Mar 18 2025

Im a sucker for good guitar riffs. wish the vocals were a bit better

Mar 19 2025

Not great didn't hate it. a little more enjoyable then the first album, but won't be listening again any time soon

In Utero by Nirvana
Mar 20 2025

I love the vibe of the album and what Nirvana means for 90s music. Great songs, but some of them go a little over the line for me as far as edgy. Not a fan of the screaming or intentionally provocative lyrics in some songs, but overall I enjoyed it

Mar 21 2025

can't listen to it right now, and based off of the reviews im not missing out on much. Sorry XTC, but you get a three since I can't no for sure its bad

Different Class by Pulp
Mar 22 2025

It is fun. sometimes a little to sensual for my taste but it was still very good

Ingenue by k.d. lang
Mar 23 2025

enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. Solid signing that got me investing throughout.

Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield
Mar 24 2025

Liked the soul music, nice dive into the 60's

Murmur by R.E.M.
Mar 26 2025

definitely not their best album but you see the backbone of a good indie rock band

Aja by Steely Dan
Apr 01 2025

not sure about the hype. nothing special some great saxophone, but not the legend of steely dan I have heard about.

Nick Of Time by Bonnie Raitt
Apr 03 2025

Oh no.... I was transported to a middle age Cat Lady's kitchen as Touched By an Angel plays in the background. I keep waiting for a Gospel choir to sneak up behind me to transport me to a world that this vibe is the only thing that will permeate my brain. I can already see the fade transitions as different smiling faces transcend over someone riding a bike on an east coast beach. IT is at the same time disconcerting and comforting all at the same time. I don't know what to feel anymore. other than 1. should have been deleted after 1989

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Apr 04 2025

Definitely baby Led Zeppelin, first song awesome. everything else was good by not as captivating as later albums 3.5

25 by Adele
Apr 05 2025

The first two songs.... Wow... awesome. If only the album carried that same intensity the entire way. still some good songs but never kept the creative and impactful intensity that 'Hello" brought in the first track

american dream by LCD Soundsystem
Apr 07 2025

one of the worst album covers I have seen. looks like an old default windows home screen with default text. first song is already nothing to really stand out. as soon as something cool sounding pops up its gets drowned out, by non impactful lyrics and a self insistence that smashing on a keyboard is good music.

The Score by Fugees
Apr 08 2025

Liked a lot more than I thought. Female singer was so good, entertaining. the skits and stuff was not really my thing, but overall I really enjoyed it

S.F. Sorrow by The Pretty Things
Apr 09 2025

another pleasant surprise. psychedelic is the wordier the album. Enjoyable and unique.

Rip It Up by Orange Juice
Apr 10 2025

legit first thing that came to my mind. is "how is Jack Stauber on this list?" shows im on internet culture too much, but it sounds really fun and energetic to being the album. then halfway through the lull, it pulls me back it with 'can't help myself' really good song solid 4

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Apr 11 2025

Knowing Bob Dylan is so well known, I was expecting a lot more. Definitely feels like a product of its time, and maybe if I grew up with it I could appreciate more, but the signing is just tedious. some good instrumentals but the singing is just too distracting.

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Apr 12 2025

Thought I was going to be contrarian and not like it. But dang. This is awesome

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Apr 14 2025

I can appreciate it, but nothing groundbreaking for m

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Apr 15 2025

not as annoying as Bob Dylan... but he's very close 2.8

Apr 23 2025

A total one hit wonder if ive ever seen one, but the other stuff is engaging enough. psychedelic in the wrong ways but not the worst thing ever.

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
May 05 2025

you know, I came into this project knowing I was gonna hear a lot of David Bowie, and I was really excited because I wanted to like it. But I really don't get it. I know it's popular and its niche and I don't want to be contrarian for no reason but, the music just seemed to not resonate with me. It just seems like drunk singing with some good instrumentals but not for me.

Mott by Mott The Hoople
May 07 2025

if your voice sounds remotely like Bob Dylan, its a no for me

Rising Above Bedlam by Jah Wobble's Invaders Of The Heart
May 08 2025

more of a vibe than I was expecting. not bad

Duck Rock by Malcolm McLaren
May 09 2025

sometimes annoying. sometimes not. makes me confused

A Girl Called Dusty by Dusty Springfield
May 10 2025

its fun. it is a little lame that they are covers but she has a good voice

Slipknot by Slipknot
May 11 2025

Lots of shouting. now I have a headache

Immigrés by Youssou N'Dour
May 12 2025

Back In Black by AC/DC
May 13 2025

Le Tigre by Le Tigre
May 14 2025

if the youngest sibling was an album

Red Dirt Girl by Emmylou Harris
May 15 2025

I am honestly surprised h0w much this touched me. the biggest dark horse so far. It made me feel like I was in a sad indie movie and apparently I like that vibe. biggest surprise of the project so far

Synchronicity by The Police
May 17 2025

cool little album with different twists and turns but not that page turner that other top placers have been

Raw Power by The Stooges
May 20 2025

if Gollum had a band. 2.8

Maverick A Strike by Finley Quaye
May 27 2025

Raggae that has fun commentary but gets a little too weird at some points

Parklife by Blur
Jun 15 2025

unoriginal British pop rock that shouts and doesn't do much for me. has some bright spots but not enough to make me want to listen to it again

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley
Jun 16 2025

I don't know why but I picture these songs being the introduction for a post apocalyptic movie and I am here for it. not bad

Disraeli Gears by Cream
Jun 17 2025

Gritty, fun, almost creeps up to the five star range, but Im gonna be pretty picky about what spots get the five star, and it barely hits it for me. still very good

Jun 18 2025

its fine. nothing special. funny enough, well well well, almost sounds like it could be the black keys for some reason. thats fun

Movies by Holger Czukay
Jun 19 2025

interesting, but to instant on itself to be very entertaining

Garbage by Garbage
Jun 21 2025

solid, some parts were a tad cringy but nice grunge vibe

Homework by Daft Punk
Jun 22 2025

a really solid opening that lost its luster at the end

Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5
Jun 23 2025

again, not a big rap guy, but these songs are filled with a lot of powerful commentary that comments so much more than the standard drivel from the genre, really good

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Jun 24 2025

an enjoyable live album, that is carried by the guitar performance

Savane by Ali Farka Touré
Jun 25 2025

I thought this would be fun. Kind of repetitive and grading after a while. its ok

War by U2
Oct 21 2025

This album got me to not absolutely hate U2. Which has been a prejudice I have held strongly since they forced themselves on my Apple Music feed as a kid. but this album is soooooo much better than achtung baby, which is such a tragedy to say... because though im not a music aficionado, I know one thing. I hate U2. but this album is slowly converting me. and I don't like that. solid 4.

Abbey Road by Beatles
Oct 22 2025

I will say, it was incredibly refreshing to just listen to the Beatles without having in the back of my mind how iconic they are. Imagining I have never heard them before helped me a lot. With that being said It is a solid four leaning to a five but just barely escapes it. I wouldn't call it the best album of all time, but it is ver good, there is just something about it that is keeping it from going to the top... But now Im relistening to a few of the tracks and I think it deserves five, even though the end was getting a tad tedious. I don't know, I guess ill know what I decide tommorrow, so freaking hard.

Penthouse And Pavement by Heaven 17
Oct 23 2025

nothing special but not as annoying as I was expecting which is nice. Definitely a product of its time. feels like a 3.

Oct 24 2025

Can't remember if I listened to the whole time, but im not gonna relisten to it just in case I haven't, not worth it
