good album, kind of sad but still with a beat. dig the vibes. i wonder how differently it would hit if i were already steeped in rem from the late 80s.
it's not bad, but maybe hard to get into. big chaos energy. like with rem, lacking context for what world this album landed it changes things a bit.
would not have expected this singing voice from a 19-year-old. gets very trip-hop at times
💥sleep to dream
💥criminal
idk, it was all right? nothing jumped out as a banger, but the whole thing was inoffensive (except maybe the last track Twisted, which was a bit much)
it's not bad, maybe more interesting in context, but the album still hits
very solid mj album, good stuff
getting "we have bowie at home" energy (this was the year eno worked with bowie on low). lyrics are utterly bonkers. overall was fine, nothing stood out, little
not bad, decent uk classic punk rock. not sure how to rank vs london calling
it's good, as expected from amy winehouse. nothing jumps out as much as back to black or valerie or rehab, but it's still a solid hour of her singing, and that's pretty great
not bad, very mid-century classic, very slow-dance, very melancholy or sad. don't mind it, but never going to be on repeat.
quality punk. dig the saxophones. good energy here, even if there aren't any really standout tracks
interesting to hear where JT began to some degree. makes me wonder how much is him and how much is timbaland and/or neptunes. still, pretty good.
💥cry me a river
💥rock your body
classic kraftwerk. it's got a mood to it, very life-under-machines, can hear vaporwave coming out of here for sure
💥the robots
it's a vibe, 3
not terrible. very out there and experimental, but still kind of listenable.
suppose this is where eminem came from. not bad for a 27yo.
... or at least it seems so until you get midway through the album, where it gets pretty horrible
💥my name is
never heard of this reggae before. it's not bad, probably wouldn't listen to again tho
it was ok, a couple of songs stood out. very chill.
what do you even say about this album in 2026. maybe the bluesiest led zep?
