This is an interesting album, you can hear the punk rock heritage and multiple different influences in Jack’s vocals and the music. Some harder Beatles tracks come to mind in addition to Dead Kennedies. Interesting amalgamation. And them the indie rock sound which became dominant after this

This was a very interesting album musically and in terms of genres, extremely broad, fusing a lot of different sounds. Everything from what today would be known as indie rock to funk, the classic hard rock that Zeppelin is known for, as well as really interesting influences like folk songs and cashmere kind of operatic rock. It's just incredible how rich artistically this album is. Experimental

Very in that Blur era of music. Kind of interesting but didn’t really do that much for me.

So very uk so very 90’s. I kind of dig it but was never my number 1 jam

Love it. Inwas surprised this album is from 1978, this was a familiar record in many ways (Eruption, Running with the devil, Ain’t talking bout love), but listening to the full album really put it in more context and I kind of get why it was a forerunner of what 80s hard rock and glam, metal, heavy sound would be like.

This album was cool in that I can't say I had heard Sam Cooke live before. The sound was very raw. You could almost feel the heat and the sweat from the club where he was playing. I was super impressed. The intensity of the performance was something that you don't really hear in the cleaner album versions. I enjoyed this listen

I mean, it’s Rage Against the Machine. Unique sound and just a standout record overall
