This is one of the worst albums I ever listened to in my life. I surely hope the submission of this album was a bad joke. It is (thank God) very short and full of Scooter style metalcore rave tracks. The lyrics are stupid (special mention "Fuckboi") and uninteresting. It also has schlager style tracks (f.e. "Hurrikan"). Maybe this is "fun" on a summer festival, but even then I would be annoyed after a track or two. A one star rating does not do this album justice.

You say "we need more energy", I turn on Electric Callboy. Great ridiculous add to an already wild assortment of music.

This is actually a lot of fun. Sillu exuberance, wrapped up like the bastard child of Scooter and Rammstein.
Don't take it too seriously, it's not meant to be world-changing.

This is the two genres I hate most mashed together. You have some screamo metal that’s done over some club techno sounds and all of the songs are about things that were more popular 10 years ago. This was one of the worst albums on the new list. 0.7/10

This is fucking stupid.
On paper, I should hate this.
I don’t like happy hardcore.
I don’t like screamcore metal.
I’m ambivalent about eurodance.
I don’t identify as a fuckboi.
But life isn’t lived on paper, is it?
It’s lived in the hearts of newlyweds.
On the dancefloors of Hull.
On the poppy fields of Flanders.
In the disabled bogs of Dresden.
Maybe we are all fuckbois if we can only choose to believe it.
We are all one, we are love, we are the universe.
And the universe is finally ready for Electric Callboys rave attack.
This is fucking stupid, and I love it.

The album generator I use to listen to a new album every day generated this while I was sat wearing an Electric Callboy hockey jersey. Coincidence? Yeah. Anyway, as much as I do enjoy this album, I do still recognise that the gimmicky nature of it can put some people off. It is a fusion of metalcore and eurodance which, some would argue, should never be mixed. For me though, it just sounds so fun. It’s very much tongue in cheek, and is unlikely to be an album that goes down in history as a masterpiece, but it’s damn good at making me smile.

I keep forgetting that this is a real music genre that exists and gets hundreds of millions of streams, and not just something that spawns from the mist every time a Youtuber needs an intro for his cool tutorial on how to get free V-Bucks in Fortnite.

This was a great album to workout to, but I’m not sure when else I’d listen to this apart from angry yard work. It’s musical and fun but I don’t know if I’d call it classic.

Música intensa, mezcla de hardcore y de música tecno. Para no para de moverse. Predominio de electrónica. Estilo un poco a metal industrial. Me ha sorprendido mayormente para bien

Not really my genre in a couple of respects. I didnt hate it, but it seemed pretty much just, well, techno... with some Teutonic growl-shouting.

Very interesting addition. Its like Linkin Park with metal tropes and 40% dance techno. It was an interesting listen, but the dumb lyrical content doesn't do them any favors.

When the screaming started I thought I might be out, but it wasn’t as rough as I often find that sort of singing. In fact a lot of the songs were pretty good. Fuckboi was great, and there are several others that I really liked. While still not my cup of tea it was tight and the runtime worked to its advantage.

I thought this was going to be way, way worse than initially suspected. It's not great and it's very generic but it is short. That helps so much.

Yes, Tekkno is formulaic. Every track follows the same build-up, drop, breakdown, and hook... but that’s the point, isn't it? Songs like We Got the Moves are pure chaos and pure fun, and with the video it’s impossible not to smile. Especially with that heavy Gabber throwback in there. I’ve had that song on repeat for a while after seeing them live, which was an absolute party: loud, weird, and full of energy.
This album isn’t reinventing anything, but it doesn’t have to. It’s built for the mosh pit and the dance floor, for shouting along to the hooks, and for laughing at how ridiculous it all is. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want.

Recipe
1 part German deathcore
1 part 2000s pop
1 part techno beats
Combine in a bowl with reckless abandonment. Bake at whatever temperature you want.
This was not enjoyed by me, but I did appreciate that they tried something different.

There is something there with Tekkno but it's not quite all there. Metalcore mixed with Europop stylings doesn't seem like it should work, and it often doesn't, but every so often it seems to catch me and make me want more. Mindreader and Parasite are really good songs for example, but they're followed soon after by Hurrikan which might as well have been a collab with Cartoons or Vengaboys or any of those late 90s novelty acts, and there are other examples throughout where it's like they're working with Scooter and HP Baxxter is dropping bars over the top (We Got The Moves, Spaceman). Then the closing track Neon is a really good heavy rock ballad tune, not even metalcore. I dunno, I can see some of the appeal, but the exection isn't great (and the production is way too clean for metal), yet it has some bops and only lasts half an hour. Probably lands on the 2.9 side of a 3 for a 2/5.

electro heavy metal? seems like every songs starts interesting then falls off a cliff as soon as the vocals come in, the standout song is the one with guest vocals - FCKBOI and I actually listened to and enjoyed a few of that bands songs after this - 2

Techno metal, before this morning I didn’t realise such an album existed.
After listening to it, I’m not sure it should exist. Couple of interesting parts but the lyrics are very silly, and not much depth to the songs.

Baffling experience. It's mashing up the tackiest aspects of metal and eurodance, and the combination doesn't work at all. There's not much attempt to blend the two styles either, they're just kind of existing alongside each other in the audio channels.
Bumping the rating up to 2, though, because adventure is about the journey, not the destination.

Melding electronic pop with metalcore, Electric Callboy tends to toe the line between fairly competent poppy metal songs and extremely lame hooks that aims to go viral on tiktok. I can get behind the general concept, but it ends up sounding so overproduced and same-y that I wonder if they could make an interesting song for once. They really are a one-trick pony that I have little patience for.
CONTENDER FOR THE LIST: Not at all. This sort of metalcore is a flash-in-the-pan and will likely be viewed poorly in retrospect.

Just plain bad. Overloaded arrangements, bad production that sags under the weight of so many elements at once, and terrible lyrical content and focus. Metal is a genre ripe for fusion with how technical and layered it can be, but there has to be some artful consideration of HOW to layer in new elements without just throwing things at the wall and seeing what sticks. Also gives me flashbacks to the lolXDsoRandom! era of the early teens, which is impressive for an album made a decade later.

HL: "Arrow of Love", "Neon"
It evokes "anime battle" music sometimes, but I quickly became disenchanted with the mindless EDM beats supporting these metalcore breakdowns that are simply not my thing. My favourite vocals are the guest ones from Conquer Divide ("Fuckboi"). I found the actual vocalists from Electric Callboy irritating, particularly the growly one.
In a way, the mishmash of genres is a noble experiment, but it just so happens to include so many tropes I hated the most about 2010s rock and pop. Like if Marianas Trench decided to be death metal.

Maybe we've come as far as we could as a species. Sure, we created art and industry and philosophy. But our reign also led to endless wars, fascism, the invention of the atom bomb, not to mention the destruction of nature and the finite ressources the latter harbors...
And it also led to Electric Callboy and their music album *Tekkno*.
I don't know... Maybe it's time to hand the rule of our planet over to dolphins. Or to cats. Dogs, maybe? Heck, even tardigrades would be a better option. Anything but this bullshit.
If what we have to face here is trolling, this is a near-genius move.
If it's not, well, I hope that one day this user ends up renouncing their dark ways while listening to The Armed.
In the meantime...
