If Tom Petty and Blue Hammer smashed and created a child that ought to have be drowned at birth.

Seeing all the biz people rating this 10/10, five stars and I'm just left wondering what am I not hearing. I heard a 44 minutes of a horrible vocal track over synth pop crap. Then I was advised the dude unalived/ offed himself shortly after this was released and all the ratings made more sense in a don't speak bad of the dead kinda way. I'll be honest, this is pure unenjoyable cut yourself in the bathroom emo 13 year old kid garbage.

Holy father, I'm ready to confess... I don't actually like Megadeth when I said I did... In the early 2000's, when I was but a teen, I first heard them I thought the band name was cool and the singer was hot. For my sin of lying, I've seen them live twice (both times sucked) and listened to several albums (barely got through all of them). I pray my penance be accepted and I never have to do this again. Amen.

Spent the entire album waiting for something to happen. Never changed time or intensity, just flat all the way through.

Would have been better if the vocal track was muted... Some good samples and mixes on a few songs but the lyrics I could have done without. 1.5

Classic and arguably the best Nirvana album. Kurt's vocals shine on tracks like Something in the Way and the acoustic arrangement of Lake of Fire brings another level to the song.

Songhoy Blues - refugees from Mali due to religious (Islamic) extremist group Ansar Dine. Interesting album, really enjoyed it. The different styles of blues and rock shined through. Soulful song Mali, I don't know the language but the intent seeps through.

Surprised I hadn't heard this one before. Good album, Paul Simon is a great story teller. Me & Julio is still my favorite, enjoyed Paranoia Blues and Run that Body Down.

Fetch the Bolt Cutters was an interesting album. Power in her lyrics, going through her journey as an artist and as a woman. Clear message of women need to be heard and we won't be silenced. Especially liked the title track Fetch the Both Cutters and Under the Table. Will listen again.

I don't get Bruce Springsteen personally. I know millions of people do so I suppose it's just me. Hits aside I enjoyed I'm Goin' Down. Overall I'll say its fun album, something you can dance to when no one is watching. A best album of all time? I don't know but it does scream homeboy Americana till the cows come home.

This album is wild. Such a variation of styles, the sensual overtones, and engagement of Marvin Gaye with his musicians is captivating. His use of his music to cope with his own childhood traumas and spiritual healing comes though lyrically.

I love The Downward Spiral. I love that it hits just as hard today, while I load my reusable earth conscience bags into my family car, as it did in 1999 sitting on my bff's floor doing our makeup to go check out guys at the mall.

Musically this album is pretty standard for anything of the same time frame. So it's not it's good it's just not anything special. Lyrically and vocally it's consistent for the Bee gees ... Garbage

This was just a fun bunch of songs. Would recommend and listen to again.

The was a generic garage punk album. Really didn't bring anything new, definitely would not rate it as a "must listen".

Great collection of songs. Solid throughout, I especially liked the Iron Man cover took me a minute to pick up on what it was.

Not sure what to say... Started listening and was suddenly 6 songs in and didn't realize. Hardly a difference in songs to stand out from each other. Everyone plays well, March of the Black Queen and Funny How Love Is are pretty solid and have a different sound from the rest of the album

This was god awful. Beyond awful. Beep boop and repeat the same line over and over for 6-8 minutes. So happy when it was over.

Great sound, Talking Heads always has such an interesting energy and this album is no different. Highly recommend.

This album threw me for a trip. I had the expected The Velvet Underground was in the realms of Bowie and The Rolling Stones but then 2/3 of this album was "I wanna be the Beatles" type stuff. BUT, get to the last three songs and it's like a completely different group. Wow. The Murder Mystery totally saved this album from the grand level Meh experience it had been providing.

Legit definition of WTF. Just sounds like each member of the band wrote and recorded their own separate songs and then overlayed them together. Tah dah done. There's skill here but it's odd for odd's sake. "Story" songs are like Zappa but not nearly as good or entertaining.

Like most people, I only knew Randy Newman as the Toy Story guy... Omg did I have my expectations smashed apart and then run over. Shocked in a good way, that I had to stop and listen/read the lyrics and research references. Department store music you definitely can't actually play at a department store.

Amazing album start to finish. I'm not much into modern pop but Adele is the one singer that I can't get enough of.

Good but even, the hits still kill but the rest doesn't meet at the same level.

Best songs: Gasoline Alley and Only a Hobo Overall OK album, grew a tad tiresome by the end honestly. You're My Girl feels like the most traditional Rod Stewart sound.

The is one of my favorite albums ever. I've probably listened to it at least 50 times in my life. The first time, it absolutely blew my 15 year old mind. I hadn't heard anything like it before. Thus began my love of all things Pink Floyd.

German Zappa; or that time you went to an art museum, saw some random splatters on canvas and was told it was a statement piece

Basic Jay Z album. Best song Heart of the City (Ain't No Love). Rest of the album, tracks are good BUT would have been better served if he didn't bother with lyrics. "Never Change"... Really? I'm rich but I still do crime, but I still have street cred. Ok Jay Z if that's what you need to tell yourself.

Def a time and place kind of music. Kind of Prince -esk 80's in sound. Unlike Prince, every song sounds the same. Very copy/paste for tone. I appreciate they kept it to 38 minutes.

Remember that time when your cousin was like hey you gotta come with me to hear this band and they drag you to some warehouse in the middle of knowhere. Then some dudes come on the stage that appear to be half out of it and start jamming on some instruments that were all third hand-me-downs. And it's ok, you didn't regret the night but you know it's only because of the weird context of the experience. This album is that.

Chaos in music form

Feels very typical of 1960s Rock where a lot of music is borrowed / stolen from American black artists of the time. Thanks to that this is one of the better Rolling Stones albums

I don't know the dynamic of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds but I'm going to give a 1 to Nick Cave for his terrible not trying vocals and stupid AF 16 year old girl diary lyrics. 4 for The Bad Seeds. Enjoyed the music, would be immensely better as an instrumental album.

TIL "Blue Eyed Soul" is an actual musical genre and that perfectly describes this group/ album. Beatles with soul so more entertaining than I thought it would be.

Album composed of, Running Up a Hill and all the other over layered repetitive songs.

Different style for Beck, but good

Most of this album is absolutely unlistenable. Lyrically repetitive to the point of insanity, unnecessary vocal affectation of country twang, and awful simplistic guitar. But then you get to the final track Jackson, which has a calming Baptist hymnal feel to it which is quite beautiful. Not enough to save this album but still.

This is a whole album recorded with all instrument and vocal tracks on the same level so it all just sounds like music mush.

It's like he stole some 16 year old girl's diary and copied it word for word. Personally, I feel is no art to Morrissey's music, he might as well be an accountant. You Know I Couldn't Last is probably the best of the album because while it is still sounds like he's singing about his shopping list (literal, factual) it at least sounds like something he's experienced (not the 16 year old who's diary he lifted, see above).

Tangled up in Blue and Shelter from the Storm are always good. Rest is ok, if not a little long.

A six disc box set... Are we being real right now? Isn't that cheating a little... Like, "I want to add Ella but can't pick, fuck it just add her entire catalog". Took me two days to finish, good but yeah, only for the fanatic.

Spent the entire album waiting for something to happen. Never changed time or intensity, just flat all the way through.

I can't imagine seeing this performed live, very lovely but kinda a bore.

I don't think you're actually supposed to listen to all of this, the whole album comes off as an ironic joke and by the time you're at Love is a Jazz song -done in the most ridiculous over the top caricature of jazz style - it should be blazingly obvious Magnetic Fields is just fucking with everyone.
