Initial Thoughts: not happy with this one lol. I’ve only heard the ultra popular mr bright side and i despise it

Absolutely incredible album. Must be listened to in 1 sitting. A piece of performance aside from just a collection of songs

I like a lot of the who’s stuff but this many albums and a live one is kind of crazy when so many amazing artists are excluded. This didn’t stuck out to me and I didn’t save any if the songs

I feel like this something I would like but her voice just isn’t for me- I could see other people loving this tho

I didn’t give this five stars because of sentimentality- this album is truly a striking cultural commentary on the Vietnam era, touching on war, drugs, and class struggle. Honest and shaking with themes that continue to resonate

Not for me

Really liked this. I love some super long vocal runny songs with tons of 70s beats. Reminds me in *some* ways of Pink Floyd

I’m sorry Ella I know ur a legend but 3 hours and a 4 disc album is insane. I wish they would’ve chosen a more reasonable length and something a bit more curated

Biased because I love David Bowie and he often talks about what a big influence Brel was on him. I haven’t ever actually listened to Brel though I love Bowies covers of Amsterdam and My Death. This album wasn’t a relisten for me but I did like two of the songs a lot

I love David Bowie so I’m biased but I am kind of surprised this the cut for 1001 albums- unless there’s like 10 of his other albums I’m surprised they’d choose this one. Yes, it’s significant as his comeback and I certainly like many of the songs on it but this is not notable imo compared to MOST of his other albums. I still like it tho because it’s David Bowie
