1001 Albums Summary

Touted as one of the most influential bands of the 80s and... I only liked 1 song from this album. Most of the songs don't have a lot of views and rightfully so.

Only liked one song, Maps, and it was the one that doesn’t sound like any of their other songs…

It Was A Good Day is nice, the rest is trash

This was, without a doubt, the most grating music I have ever heard. It sounds wrong; as if the instruments are out of tune. The sounds coming out of this thing are like undiscovered melodies that should have remained lost. The quiet vocals feel thrown in like spaghetti against a wall. I put this album on for my morning commute and arrived in record time because I wanted the music to end. This album on loop is akin to torture.

The first half of the album has Heroes (a song where every single cover is better than the original), and the last half is just noise… trash album

Whoever put this on this list should be embarrassed

He should have used one of those wishes for the ability to make good music. 3 Bowie albums so far, 3 trash albums so far.

The first song was intriguing, I wasn't sure if I liked it or not and had to play it back a couple of times. The rest of the album I was 100% sure I didn't like.

Listening to the first song, I thought it was another artist with the same name as Common, I was unexpectedly digging it and looking forward to the rest of the album as I thought I'd discovered something new and great. The rest of the album was not good.

A cover album where all of the originals except Hurt are better.. shocking.

His voice in the first song gives sandpaper nightmares and then he mellows out a bit. Not my thing.

A bit repetitive but some funky beats up in here.

I was a big Ice Cube fan growing up. Strong, aggressive rapping but listening to his full albums is repetitive, sounds like he has the a couple rhymes for each word and he reuses them in every song. Boring songs right here.
