1989
Taylor SwiftThese songs would be so much better with real drums on them imo. Otherwise the album is as good as radio pop can get.

Thought this was quite good, listenable, indie rock. Sounds like it could have come out this year.
Actively annoying to listen to. Awful
Good but nothing that special
Beige and uninteresting. Inoffensive but immediately after finishing this album I had forgotten all the songs.
Good album but 3 or 4 songs too long. Win Butler also hogs the vocals when the female vocalist (not sure of her name) is far better.
Fun music but sounds like anything you would hear in a club. Maybe everything after imitated this?
It was ok but the songs all got a bit samey by the end. I might enjoy it more after listening a few times
Very good folk, well ahead of it's time
Some all time great songs but also some forgettable ones.
Boring after the first song
This album was a lot of fun
It's Abbey Road. iconic cover, some of the best songs ever, and a fabulous ending to the GOAT band.
Good musicianship but generally forgettable songs
Like a lot of roots music in the 1980s, this sounds awful by modern standards. I think it's the sound of the instruments but either way it's bad.
Enjoyable but felt a lot longer than it was.
Found this really boring musically
This album was awful. Songs were annoying to listen to, and musically beige.
I enjoyed this a lot, vibey and well produced, very cool listen
One of the greats playing great songs with a top tier backing band. Good production and great vibes and energy, a lot to like here.
Not a huge Queen fan, there are some good songs on here but some forgettable ones too.
Beige and boring
Has not aged particularly well
Was great when I was 15 but it just sounds cringey now. A couple of decent songs.
Clearly influential on future bands but the songs are largely forgettable.
A meandering and overlong exercise in patience. No memorable songs.
Not a particularly special rock album for its era, with songs that have been all over the place. Production is also painfully dated and not redeemed by the average performances.
Way too long and uninteresting. Shame as Rumours is so good
Really well produced and musically cool. Vocals a bit low in the mix and generally weak.
I generally like acoustic music and was looking forward to this but it's just boring, mid tempo and beige songs. Not anything I would revisit in any mood.
It was ok, songs weren't especially interesting above the abrasive sound
Incredible album. Ambulance Blues is one of the best songs of all time in my opinion, the part when the harmonica comes in for the first time is full of so much soul. On The Beach (the song) is unlike anything else I have heard, and is full of so much feel and passion. All the other songs are great as well but those two stand out.
I'm sure it's influential or whatever but I found it unlistenable
Enjoyed this, musically cool and a cool energy
This was trending towards a four or five star until the endless spoken word part of the fourth track. That song isn't particularly good compared to the rest either, and it's half the albums runtime.
Hardcore punk or not, it's not an artistic statement to me, it's just crap
It's been an hour since I listened and I can't remember anything specific about the album, other than it was pleasant but very vanilla
Really good
Obviously good and influential but the vocals are weak imo and the next album is more indicative of where metal would go.
Boring songs and vocals, not very musical
I enjoyed this, good shoegaze. Not quite loveless but nothing is
There are some high points but the slower songs are boring.
Good and vibey but not particularly memorable on first listen.
Good harmless pop, losses energy in the second half
Dreadfully boring
Really good but the strongest tracks rise above and the way they blend together makes it a slight slog
Really enjoyed this, good grooves and well produced and mixed.
Really cool guitar but weak vocals and by the numbers songs
I've listened to this album many times and there is a tonne of great material on it. Unfortunately there is some fat that should have been trimmed, especially in the final third.
Boring Oasis
Obviously a classic but some had choices, like having Noel Redding sing one of the songs. If 6 was 9 also feels 20min long and makes the post little wing part of the album into a slog.
Didn't vibe the slow lazy feeling of the songs
A bit beige, musically it's peaceful and pleasant
I'm sure it would grow on me but the songs sounded the same on first listen
Some of Zeppelin's best songs but also some really bizarre stuff like the final track.
Enjoyed more than I thought I would
Good energy but songs are bleh
If all music was like this I wouldn't like music.
I don't really favour synth music, I think this is clearly influential but I can't see myself ever wanting to listen to this over something more sophisticated in the same genre and style.
An incredible album, it's ageless and sophisticated. The songs are so musical and fun.
Influences from all over the place, decent songs but stylistically not a consistent album
Perfect singer songwriter acoustic album
Unintelligible vocals, songs all sound the same. Can clearly see the influence but on its own merits it's not good.
Some good songs but some average and boring material
Very front loaded album, three great tracks then mid tempo boring material for the rest of the runtime
Only thing stopping it being a 5 is the first minute of watermelon man
Good energy, got a bit bleh towards the end
Could be Zeppelin's best if they trimmed 20 min off the runtime. Last 25% of the album isn't close to as good as what comes before
I wanted to like it but the songs aren't good. Well sung and played well though.
Yikes
Great alt rock
These songs would be so much better with real drums on them imo. Otherwise the album is as good as radio pop can get.
Great vocals, fun album. Songs are a bit dull at points which stops it getting a 5.
This started very promising, but fell off. Missed the drums in the slow and meandering second half.
Nice folk, would have been better with less instruments as the guitar playing is so unique
Simple af but they are just so talented that it is still a really fun and listenable album
I enjoyed this, fun guitar pop. Could trim three songs tho for runtime.
I don't really listen to lyrics so can't comment on that. Musically I enjoyed it, good grooves and vibes.
Self indulgent crap, it's hard enough to make a good 40min album let alone a 90min one. Slogged through 5 tracks to see another 20+ to come and felt miserable.
Enjoyed the instrumentation and vibe of this album.
Unusually good for a "classic" rock album in the 80s. Blends the sounds of the time well which a lot of acts couldn't do. Songs are good!
I don't have anything negative to say, I enjoyed this a whole lot.
Never understood the obsession people have with this dude. This album is forgettable and bland. Definitely didn't need to hear it before I die.
Inoffensive but compared to what the Beatles and Stones were doing, and with bands like Floyd and Zeppelin on the way and Hendrix's debut coming the next year, it's dated and boring.
This was ok but not particularly interesting or memorable.
Yeah it's good guitar playing but sounds like a lot of other music, especially because these aren't original songs
This album should be something I love but it's just missing some X factor, I don't know what, that makes it really dull.
Groovy sound, not overly special though
I'd never heard this before and enjoyed it a lot.
I've listened to this album many times, it's got some great songs and a cool vibe but some of the songs are slow and bring the good energy down.
Crooning in french to the accordion. Not for me.
Enjoyed the sound of the album and the vibes. On first listen all the songs sounded the same, but it's a good sound.

I disliked her style of singing, the whispering style. The breathing in got distracting. Instrumentally the album was boring.
Wow what an album. Great singing, instrumentation, full of passion. Lives up to its reputation.
I know it's a famous and important album but the songs were boring and it sounded like a product of its time.
Music was fine but didn't enjoy the rapping style. Can't speak for the lyrics as I rarely pay attention to lyrics in songs in early listens
This loses a star for fart sounds at the end of the last song. Otherwise it was a fun album.
Boring, forgettable, and cliche. Musically it's not anything that's not been heard a million times and vocally it's poor, with nothing lyrics.
Nothing wrong with this but it's not my taste
Didn't mind this, but not a big jazz person
Wasn't minding this despite preferring my jazz to be instrumental. Then the last track started and the vocals made it unlistenable.
Awful. Drummer sounds like he is playing a nonstop crescendo drum solo, guitar is fuzzed to hell, bass is too loud, the music isn't remotely interesting and there are no vocals.
Enjoyable with some great songs. Vocals are average and the backing vocals are also not a style I enjoy.
Good album and songs, win butler has an annoying voice though
Sounds like George Harrison's solo album for obvious reasons. Not particularly interesting, and not an album that has aged well.
The Weight is an all time song, but the rest is a bit boring.
If this is where metal started, it's not where it landed. Interesting only because of what it could have influenced, not because it is in itself worth listening to.
One of the great hard rock albums. Shame they couldn't keep going with this lineup and creativity.
Thought this was quite good, listenable, indie rock. Sounds like it could have come out this year.
One of the great indie rock albums. Songs lack variety but they're great songs.
Ignoring the death of the artist, it's a stellar album with varied, cool songs, great drums and instrumentation, and interesting themes.
Knew this would suck from the cover.
This album isn't special and not particularly worth listening to. Standard 60s content.
Kind of Blue is a perfect album, and the best Jazz album ever made.
It's ok but not what I enjoy.
Pretty cool alt/indie rock. Not the best album of its era but an enjoyable listen.
A lot of depth for a Britpop album. Varied and fun.
This was great. Such fun with great songs and vocals.
Money For Nothing and Brothers In Arms are great songs, and there are a couple of other good tracks here. The middle is just slow and boring though.
Great album with all time songs but they should have cut 6 or 7 songs from the second half as it becomes a slog.
Master of Puppets is a staggering work of art. The fact Metallica were so young when they wrote these songs is crazy. There are no weak tracks here, and the entire band is in top form. The songs are heavy and musical, and have so much feeling and soul.
We all know that Ray Charles is a great singer and can play fun piano. Which is why when this album instead shoves Big Band music in your face it is so perplexing. A lot of musical genres from the last century have survived and thrived after they were the most popular music of their time. Blues and Jazz musicians are still able to build a following and release good new music. Big Band is shit and always was. It is completely abandoned in the zeitgeist and for good reason. This album wastes Ray Charles's talents and is basically a Big Band cover album. A shame.
Great album and generally great song choices. The twists from the originals are a lot of fun. Loses a point for predominantly being covers.
