CanThis is terrible. I’m down for experimentation, but it was several hours of straight experimentation with no reprieve. I don’t see why it has such critical acclaim. Different doesn’t equal good.

Great classic album! It’s cool to hear the guys talking between songs, too.
A bit samey-same throughout, but it’s such a cool and unique sound.
I can only imagine how fresh this sound was when the album first debuted. So awesome, and with an amazing guitarist!
Hip hop is hit-or-miss for me, but it’s a solid album. It probably hit different when it first came out.
This is so whimsical and in the best genre! Peak funk.
This isn’t bad music by any means, but I don’t understand why this album is here. It’s nothing groundbreaking, nor is it culturally significant to my knowledge. But yeah, it’s decent music.
Prima has such a distinctive sound, and this album is a perfect example of Italian-American music.
I’d heard some of the hits from the album, and did not expect some of the other tracks to be so jazzy. The piano-forward tracks were particularly intriguing. I like the blend of styles throughout the album.
This album is great for driving, or cooking dinner, or just lazing around. Beautiful music played very well.
This is a very unique album. Many of the tracks had a great style, but some of them were more typical 60s Prog rock.
What a legend!
Some great songs on here, but Brown Sugar did not age well at all. It’s a good album, but maybe not their most influential. The cover art is iconic, though.
Really great album! I like that they went back to their English folk roots.
This is an awesome blending of genres. It has elements of punk, blues, jazz, even some 90s hip-hop beats and record scratches. It makes me want to hear more by this artist.
These guys have a really cool sound. I really enjoyed this album.
The music isn’t bad, but it’s hidden behind overindulgent singing. Don’t get me wrong, Mariah Carey has a spectacular voice and I appreciate the virtuosity. But it doesn’t need to be shown off every single phrase of every single song.
The songs were ok, but it mostly sounded like they wished they were the Beatles. The Kinks have much better material to include in this list.
This album has an interesting vibe, but it’s very static throughout. More variety would be better.
This was a solid album. She has a unique voice and writing style.
This was the coolest thing I’ve heard in a long time. I’d heard of Janelle Monáe’s name, but I did not know what to expect at all. It’s so inspiring!
I liked the flow between songs, but the album was about twice the length it needed to be. Also, misogyny is not cool.
This is a wonderful album, and a great example of Cat Stevens’ distinctive style.
I’d never listened to k.d. lang, so I had no clue what to expect. It’s really easy to listen to, with a nice blend of styles!
This was a solid punk album. I like the short snippets of energy. I wouldn’t say it was groundbreaking, but of course that’s from my 2023 perspective.
Awesome album, and awesome music! Not quite as good as Songs in the Key of Life, but still very good.
This is an iconic album! It’s not perfect and it seems like Elvis hadn’t established his identity as a performer, but it has a lot of energy. I see why it blew up back in the day.
Can’t go wrong with Questlove. I don’t usually gravitate towards rap, but I appreciate the skill and the poetry.
I don’t think I’d heard this particular album before. It’s interesting to hear the period between classic surf Beach Boys and Pet Sounds Beach Boys.
This album is pretty good, but not their best.
The first half was awesome! Love the a capella. Toward the second half, it started taking a turn for the strange. Nonetheless, I appreciate the experimentation.
A nice singer-songwriter album. I liked the combo of folk and electronic! Some of the songs started sounding the same after a while.
David Bowie is the best!
These guys were ahead of their time! I can hear their influence in a lot of today’s rock music.
This album was really cool! Nice blend of jazz, Latin-American music, funk, and disco. Just a party, overall
This album is so harmonically interesting! The songs were really cool. Hadn’t heard this guy before, to my knowledge.
Another Wonder-ful album!
Some good hits on this album. Girl power!
Love Joni Mitchell! This isn’t her best album, though. Seems like experiment for the sake of experiment.
These guys are masters at their craft, however, it seemed a bit self indulgent at times.
There are some really cool songs on this album. As a whole, it could use more ebb and flow. It seems like they start at 100 and stay there throughout the whole album.
Cohen sure found his niche in melancholy music. It can be really refreshing to hear.
This album is freaking awesome. I can’t believe I hadn’t listen to these guys before I’m gonna have to dig more into this genre.
Beck is way too cool. Great album!
For some reason I hadn’t listened to Nina Simone before! So sultry and poetic! She’s knows the power of restraint. Awesome album.
A pretty good album, but not as good as the Beatles together in my opinion.
It’s not really my style, but I get the appeal. It’s a well done album, but nothing groundbreaking to me.
This is a pretty cool album, but it seems like there’s a fair amount of filler songs.
This album was an awesome blend of styles with a unique Brazilian twist. So cool!
This album is great! You can really hear the emotion in Burke’s performances.
I love Simon and Garfunkel! This album is perfect.
This is good hip hop! It’s a solid album.
I’d heard the hits before, but there are some other gems on this album. Embryonic Journey was particularly cool!
I haven’t listen to much Ray Charles before, but I see now why he is considered so influential. This is a very good album.
This album was pretty interesting. I think I’d heard one of the songs before.
It was ok, but there was a lot better electronic music going on around the same time. I’d rather listen to that.
The overall sound of the music is decent. And not really my thing though.
I don’t understand the appeal of this at all.
This album was pretty bland in my opinion. It’s not bad music, but it doesn’t stand out.
I’m very torn by this album because musically it’s pretty interesting and the overall ideas behind it are really interesting but I think it’s presented in a way that turns me off a bit. Maybe I’m just a prude.
This album is wonderful Aretha Franklin can really sing
This album is really pretty good. I’ve heard a few songs but not the whole album.
Make it stop
Wonderful album! Supertramp is so great and somehow underrated.
Pink Floyd is legendary for a reason! Amazing album from beginning to end.
This was a pretty cool album. I like the experimental style.
It’s a very good album! They have a cool style.
Phil Spector’s wall of sound is so influential. This album embodies that. Sucks that he became a murderer.
They have a pretty cool, quintessential 80’s sound. The songs started to sound the same after a while.
I had only heard a couple of Blur’s songs. There’s quite a bit of a riding in this album which took me as a surprise. I liked it a lot!
There are a lot of good song on this album. It’s sad that there was a pretty crappy dude behind such hopeful music.
I like the band’s sound! They have a cool vibe.
This album is so cool! Can’t believe it wasn’t on my radar before now. Right up my alley.
Great album, and great music!
This is one of my more favorite styles of hip-hop. I love the jazz elements that give it a cool flair.
This is a pretty good album! Not The Who’s best work, but it’s easy to listen to.
This album is great! I definitely want to listen to it more in the future.
Loved this album! Jazzy and fun. Very pleasant to listen to.
Depeche Mode perfected the dark, moody synth vibe. Love that style!
This was an interesting album. I see why it isn’t super popular, but they were kinda ahead of their time.
This was awesome! Can’t believe I hadn’t heard of these guys. It’s folk meets blues meets jazz meets Renaissance.
Super cool. I never listened to them when I was younger, but I should have. So much angst lol
This album didn’t really stand out to me particularly it’s not that but it’s not that great.
The lyrics are so dumb, but the music is pleasant to listen to. It also just reminds me of a fun time in my life. :)
They are very good at what they do. Not quite my style, but they are very good.
This is a good album! They had some nice hits in there.
I had never listened to this whole album before, but I really enjoyed it! And Cyndi Lauper isn’t really my thing.
The music is decent, but there are so many bands that sound like this.
It’s a solid album. It really bridges that gap between punk and what came after.
What a strange album! Love the music, but my throat hurts after listening to home sing.
This album is pretty cool. Not mind-blowing, but it has some good songs.
Nice classic blues. I love his style.
This is a great classic album. Still sounds fresh.
This is a nice album to listen to with an experimental vibe. They clearly put a lot of thought into the end production.
This is the perfect western album!
Awesome album! Grungy, but well-produced. Layne Staley wore his heart on his sleeve.
This is more pseudo-classical than pop, imo. Kinda surprised it’s on here. I like their unique and experimental style, though.
Found a hidden (from me) gem! Cool music!
It was an interesting album, but not my favorite.
I like the tongue-in-cheek silliness mixed with doses of real world problems.
What a great album! A tribute to some amazing songwriting, coupled with k.d. lang’s gorgeous vocals. You totally hear the influence of Patsy Cline.
I should have figured that an entire Beastie Boys album would be even more chaotic than any of their singles. A great chaos, though.
This is pretty much just jazz, which is awesome! It’s a quirky style, but I could see it holding up today with some different production.
This is a pretty decent album. You can definitely hear the influence of other music popular at the time (some of the rap rhythms, some dub-step sounding elements).
The r&b elements are great! The hip hop elements are all good except for the rap, which seemed a bit lackluster in my opinion.
It’s decent music, but honestly kinda forgettable. Neil Young’s earlier stuff was better.
It’s not bad music, but I never really got into Joy Division for some reason.
There’s nothing super special about this music for me.
I really like their style. It’s raw and sophisticated at the same time.
Not his best album. It seems like he was trying to tie more contemporary styles in with the classic 50s stuff he was accustomed to.
Great album!
Wonderful covers! Awesome album.
I liked their other songs about as much as the hits. Solid songwriting.
This was ok, but not my favorite.
I’d heard the name, but never really listened to her stuff. I only recognized the one big hit, but it was pretty fun music.
Classic! Awesome blend of rock and folk.
Great album! Classic punk
There are some gems in here beyond the hits!
A decent album, but not that special in my opinion.
Awesome music! Great to have in the background while doing chores and stuff, or driving around.
What a fun album! You can really feel the energy of the crowd.
His best album, I think!
This album was decent, but not spectacular.
Very nice music! Fun album, and you can hear how it influenced other artists like the Beatles.
Classic! Iron Maiden has some awesome songs.
It’s a decent album, but not groundbreaking or anything.
Awesome and funky music. So many layers, but not in an overwhelming way at all!
This one is fun, though I wonder if they regularly mixed up the songs since they are so formulaic. :)
This album had a cool vibe, but it wasn’t particularly memorable.
Some solid reggae. It’s a bit repetitive sometimes.
Not a fan.
Some gems in here!
I’d never heard this album. It’s hit or miss, but overall I like it.
This is terrible. I’m down for experimentation, but it was several hours of straight experimentation with no reprieve. I don’t see why it has such critical acclaim. Different doesn’t equal good.
This was nice and easy to listen to, even if not groundbreaking.
Fun rock album! Girl power
Pretty cool album, but the songs weren’t all that memorable.
This is a great album. I could see how it’s not for everyone, but it is musically solid.
I want to like it, but I don’t. It wants to be David Bowie sometimes.
This is my jam! The perfect amount of punk and rawness while still being east to listen to
The master of vibes! Moby seriously knows how to craft an album.
Good rock and roll!
So refreshing compared to the monolithic wave of gangsta rap (no hate, just gets old). Lyrics are hit or miss, but musically good.
Awesome album! Last song kinda sucks, but the rest more than makes up for it.
Amazing album of covers. So many of the lyrics take on new nuance when sung by an old man looking back on his life.
I can see the appeal of this album. Some of the songs start to sound the same.
It’s kinda cool to hear the intersection between folk and country.
This is a nice Stones album. Still feels real and raw, unlike some of their later work.
It’s a pretty good album. Easy to write off as bubblegum, but there’s more to it.
A very average prog rock album.
What a genius, and a gift to the world of pop music. Such great songs!
Just the right amount of experimentation. Love the jazziness!
A bit dated now, but I love the funk elements, and the cohesiveness of the theme.
There are some awesome songs on this album and I really like their style.
Great album! Queen knew how to write interesting and playful music.
I like the combo of styles, but his voice could use some work ;)
Pretty cool stuff! I knew Common People, but their other songs are good too.
What a strange album. These guys just played whatever they felt like playing at the time, which is pretty cool. It was definitely interesting to listen to. Why?
Solidly into his wailing phase. The songwriting itself is overshadowed, unfortunately.
There’s a couple good songs, but most of it doesn’t stand out to me.
They wish they were in the 80s. Not bad, though.
Pretty good!
The ultimate tunesmiths!
Pretty cool stuff. Sounds super dated now and like a Mannheim Steamroller album
I love Kind of Blue and was expecting something along those lines. I was surprised yet delighted to hear this! What a cool departure.
Not bad music, just not a fan of the singing.
Amazing album. So bombastic and epic sounding.
Very interesting album. I like that he has a unique style, even if it’s not quite my thing.
