Queen II
QueenGuitar is crazy -- across the board Ogre battle is so real, what is this genre where they are telling weird fantasy stories to rock music, like a rock opera? Really cool melodies, need to listen closer

Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Steve Winwood all sound so similar :) Sledgehammer! So many hits on this album...
Tears of Rage T-T the vocals are so raw I love it In a Station is so dreamy and psychedelic, even on spotify the recording sounds like an old record I found in the basement The Weight is so good, its clearly a standout on the album Whooooo opening guitar riff in Chest Fever yowza, whoa this song took a turn lol I Shall Be Released beautiful end for the album
I already know O Children and like it, this is def a genre I dont explore much though. Yea the lyrics are weird af but im having fun! Creeeeeeepy sounds going on here Its a little long
Ok I kind of get the headbanging appeal of this genre of music like this kinda slaps idk!!!!!!! his singing voice is a little weird a lot of the songs sound the same just yelling after yelling
Only listened to half so I'll give it a 3, I dont really love this genre but it was an interesting experience!
Love Bowie, I listened to this after the coldplay album and it really showed that an album needs variety -- I just love his voice too just great stuff.
'm having fun - this is definitely sickkkk to listen to while super high and vibing out lol All the songs that are actually songs are really cool I like the psychedelic stuff normally so its up my alley also roger waters is sick and only a cool dude could make a cool album like this
Pleasantly surprised at how much im loving this! Grungy and rockin and fun! Getit onnnnnnnnn woohoo! ok they really wrote a song where most of the lyrics are doodoodoo woodland rock sounds quite different from the rest with a swing vibe
Never listened to an entire Coldplay album but I have heard most of their hits Ok why does the Scientist make me emo still T-T its so nostalgic I think I get why these songs are / were so popular, the hooks are great and sooooo catchy but you arent going to like listen to this whole album over and over again theres not enough variety I do really like Chris Martin's vocal tone and delivery - I feel like it really carries some of these songs because the instrumentals are so minimal and repetitive I get why some people dont love it but I also dont understand the visceral hate, I feel like these people are just very pretentious and they like to hate anything thats hugely popular
Wow he's really shredding -- i feel like this would be really cool in person but on Spotify it doesnt sound very good for some reason? Like sort of muted but I guess its a live album so the recording isnt as precise as in studio and the tech wasn't as good back then. Vocals go crazy, kind of grating tho T-T maybe not for me Just like interminably long guitar solos which are soooooo impressive but like enough is enough
Queen Latifah! ooo I love De La Soul this is very old fashioned hahah The little baby voices on the second song are so creepy and robotic Enjoying this alot more than i thought i would based on reviews, its repetitive but not as much as i assumed I listened to the whole thing and really enjoyed it! The house music was cool and I would definitely listen to more from this time, this does seem like a debut album.
It was really fun! G-funk is cool, some of the lyrics were pretty silly but so is Snoop so it worked and I enjoyed it!
I really love her singing... Beautiful album about love and NYC Just everything I love in an album, cohesive but still with variety, super listenable
OMG I'm so basic this is so nostalgic, of course I know The Killers but i've never listened to this whole album. Hit after hit after hit, I have no idea what these dudes are talking about the lyrics are a little indecipherable but I am having so much fun. "I've got soul but I'm not a soldier" what does that mean?! Nonetheless, I am singing along. OK I do not enjoy the beep beep boop electronic element of songs like On Top Second half not as good, they really frontloaded all the hits and then included a bunch of fillers at the end "I take my twist with a shout" HAHA these lyrics are so silly
4.5/5 Pop Abum almost perfect!!!! The only song that didnt fit was drrty. Xtina's voice carries and she shows a really great range here :)
Wait this is super fun actually!!! Repetitive but not quite annoying, great background music -- better than a lot of electronic stuff I hear now-adays Some tracks better than others, Music Makes You Lose Control is a fav so far, wondering why a lot of them are not available on Spotify though Sometimes is fun too not my usual genre but I can definitely enjoy!
Looooved it, going to remember it for when I want to listen to some nice retro Jazz! <3
Ok some noisy noisy noise Really not my thing, like I can hear the influence on later artists and some of the songs are good! Its really interesting and I know they really pioneered a lot of the elements that later grunge groups ended up adapting but I think those reformulations were a little more palatable for me. Maybe some of their later stuff where they are experimenting a little less would be more my thing!
ooo I'm already having fun! Super listenable and fun -- tons of genres, a true pop album from the time period! The songs aren't super memorable but it was truly just extremely listenable but not outstanding.
Prince is HIM. This is so bombastic and amazing -- its not like TOTALLY my style and some of my favorite Prince songs are on other albums but this is awesome without a doubt
Neil Young come back to spotify please!!!!!!! I already love CSNY and CSN :D I think this is their most famous album? T-T THE BESTTTTT, I dont know what to call it but the choral? vocals are so beautiful. Maybe its just doubled? Also the guitar on Carry On Teach Your Children is such a classic ahhhh, it makes me nostalgic OUR HOUSEEEEEEEEE 4+20 I had never heard but its so simple and the vocals are so affecting
I've heard a lot of their singles but never a full album listen thru! hmmmmmm Jack White's voice is a little grating... wow it ended and it didnt even realize, it just rly wasnt doing it for me
Todd Rundgren produced, proto punk rock music sign me up! OK catchy and fun so far!!! Does sort of sound like the rolling stones a little, might just be because I am uneducated about music haha I liked it! Dont know that I'd listen a ton again but its definitely good!
I mean......... I obviously know and already love this. Lets just see if I could possibly find more to love about it :D
This probably just will not be my thing, don't really like metal but I'll be open minded! The guitar riffs are cool i feel like this would be really cool live. jailbait gross song ew
Wait im loving this!!!! Its certaintly an of the era sort of vibe but i like it!! Pop but also sort of weird rock music I honestly dont know how to categorize it, moody and really cool.
AWWWW CUTE -- im like not really interested in christmas music tho i can't lie
The first song is really cool - low fi hiphop kind of vibe Really cool mix of Indian music, hip hop and other instrumentals. The songs do sort of blend together I think my favorite so far is the Broken Skin. Immigrant is also cool, I like the female vocals
This album is really cool, I haven't really listened to a ton of electronic music but this has a sort of nostalgic vibe with the children's voices interspersed. It would be great to listen to while doing work or otherwise zoning out hahah. I dont really know how to determine if this is "good" electronic music or not, but its cool!
I like Sting a lot I have listened to a good amount of his music with Dad who is a fan of some of his solo stuff :) Mother is so weird :/ lol Every Breath you take! Great song Reading through the reviews it seems like a LOT of people really hate Sting
I obviously didn't hate it! I just don't really love Elvis... I'd be interested to hear his contemporaries - I know he was basically the vehicle through which white people accepted Rock and Roll so I'd like to hear what his black contemporaries were doing that was less watered down I imagine.
Its so beautiful one of my all time favorite albums. I love his voice, its so heartbreaking, I wish he had been able to make more music :(
Loved it a lot! Made me lissten to a lot more of his stuff which I also enjoyed.
Love it! Cool mix of folk, rock, jazz, organ, synths cool vocals from Steve Winwood - I like his voice a lot. Dad says listen to "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys"
Wow what a coincidence! I just listened to Abbey Road on my own and loved it a ton, lets see how this compares! So many hits on this one I probably know more of the songs already. This one seems a little more fantastical, would we call this Art Pop? It's definite psychedelic... a lot of these songs are very jaunty! I think the second half is a little less compelling, within you without you is very long and a little rambling for me. I think I enjoy more of the songs on Abbey Road, this one is a few too many funny character songs
Omg already listened to this and really liked it, I'll copy over my notes: Liked it a lot! Super cool and want to listen again, I see how awesome it is but I didnt LOVE it the way I loved Abbey Road. I guess it’s a little less commercial? Upon first listen I’d give it a 4/5 but I’m going to listen again. Ok Crosseyed and Painless is a highlight, this song is sick. One in a Lifetime hell yea.
I really liked it!!! Super cool debut album
I liked it a lot but not as much as Remain in Light! :)
Loved it! I justlove Whats Going On even more. :D
It was ok!!!! pretty good but not my fav. cool debut but none of the hits!
Legendary album!! Its tricky is so great, i just dont think this is something I would play on its own very often
Ok the first song totally fucks, psychedelic and awesome. crazy things are happening towards the end of this album -- im understanding the 17 mins of weird sounds complaints -- very experimental! AHHH its getting spooky scary, this sounds like the music we'd play in the car when we picked up freshman for hazing lol. ok the end of the album is ouchie and crazy but the beginning was really cool!!! yo this guy is going fucking crazy im actually laughing
ouch :(
Actually liked it! It was super accessible and fun!
Cool instrumentals throughout, Pet Sounds - Mono is really awesome
Really liked it a lot! Mellow and cool, definitely my style
It's fun but not super memorable. A cool mix of genres though..overall a good time!
I think I listened to this album on my own already but excited to delve in more! The first taste is still one of my favorites from this album
Really really liked it. Beautiful singing and lyrics and piano
it was fine just soooo not my thing
I like it! Its super fun and different. Some of the samples are a little fun and silly but I enjoyed it a lot.
I want to give it a 4.5 which rounds up to 5. I dont love it as much as abbey road but i like it more than sgt pepper :)
Really liked it! Green Onions is a classic :D
Lets be friends is cute!!!
OK I really hear what everyone was saying its like a dark Billy Joel musical hahahahah. I'm kind of weirdly enjoying it, his voice is really good and expressive. There was one song that was sort of normal and sounded like a commercial song instead of a musical number that I liked, I think it was Love's Enough which makes sense because its the most listened.
Omg STAND hahaha i didnt know anything about REM but i recognize this song for sure. Theres like some fun stuff and some interesting stuff but i think the lead singer's voice is a little annoying actually.
Really not my thing but I dont really like punk that much.
I liked it! Its a classic, i feel like im at a dance -- maybe i'll meet my beau! :)
Very chaotic, not necessarily my taste but very cool!
Apparently he was a freak pedophile soooooo
I love this psych rock shit and a few hits on this album - its for me!
Not for me but cool guitar!
LOL these lyrics are sooooo stupid and funny im laughing
Really liked it! Hadn't ever listened to Lou Reed solo stuff even though I like the Velvet Underground. It was depressing but really beautiful
Love ittt!!!! so for me, beautiful saxophone and strings
LOVE ITTTTT LOVE FUNKADELIC AND THIS ALBUM IS ONE OF MY FAVS
I liked it! Sort of like emo girl music very listenable.
SOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL i loved everything about this. The live aspect and of course her incredible voice.
I loved it need to finish it when im not sad
so yell-y no thank you
not my fav daft punk but they got da funk lol. I like the transition sounds of waves crashing i feel like in in ibitha :p a little repetitive but these r the kinds of sounds i DO like lol :D Around the world around the world around the WOOOORld
Liked it a lot!! Great live album with some hits
Actually not bad! Sorta cool and listenable!
It was pretty cool! Some of the slower songs were nice i didnt love the lead singer's voice though.
LOOOOOVE
dont love krautrock :( not my kind of noise
I liked it a lot!!!!!
Really cool and retro I liked it a lot! Going to check out more of her stuff!
PINK MOOON i love nick drake
I love a lot of the songs on this album but it is very long!! Like I dont need the backing tracks is what im saying! hahaha would be a perfect album without those extras. SO good but too long
Ska is not my thing....
Pretty cool! Its listenable, sounds just like some anonymous rock band but a good one!
The beats and production are sooo cool I barely care that I dont understand a word of what he's saying
I love Marvin Gaye this ones my favorite out of the albums we've listened to of his
Love ABBA love this album
beep beep boop bop
This is so fun -- great pop rock? I think thats what i'd call it
OK WHOA im loving this so far, what an opening few tracks! it goes into like a folky singing style even shes so awesome then Come Alive shes sooo versatile OK soooo cool so many great songs on here and no skips for me
Loved it! I love dolly's voice, this didnt have any of her songs that I already knew but it was very sweet
i liked it! not my favorite jazz album so far but very nice
Stevieeeeee the best to ever do it, this album is long but never repetitive he just had too many good ideas
yaaaaahhh free birddddd :D
I like The Band! Always enjoyable -- rock to listen to with ur dad drinking a beer haha
Love the Mamas and the Papas, some great songs on this album but not ALL my favs
Honestly it was awesome I liked it way more than I thought I would, definitely out of my comfort zone but was really cool
Love Steely Dan <3 I'm a dad I guess and this album has all the bangers
omg its just really really not my thing :( like i get that its cool and they are saying interesting stuff but whoa is it unpleasant to listen to
It was cool! Smooth and funky straightforwared R&B
Shes so cool
Shes so cool, this album is great love you Sade
Love it love the doors this album is great
i love it i love paul -- so many ideas on here but also some great songs
I liked this album way more than I expected, the opening song Holes is especially great
hmmmmm im not obsessed with this.... its sort of boring and repetitive. Like definitely not bad but if this is contemporary with Rubber Soul i definitely prefer that album.
LOOOOOVE
Sooooo gooooood!!! I love Going to California and Stairway to heaven just such a well-balanced and great album
i love radiohead so i really liked this but not as much as in rainbows or ok computer. It was more experimental and industrial i feel like
it was cool!
I like it!!! I like all the folky (?) guitar and singing :D
I liked it! It was very listenable alt rock -- not super memorable but a good experience!
The lyrics on the first song are so dumb but also funny - I enjoy the music though. The lyrics all around are just like annoying even though his voice is good
pj harvey is so cool - this album is so spooky and cool so far
i sort of understand the critiques but at the same time im also enjoying it - they kind of are doing a radiohead thing
I liked it! I prefered it to that other more famous album I cant remember the name but it definitely felt a bit darker.
Not my favorite beatles, very 60's kinda boring
It was cool! I liked it a lot more than I thought I would
its ok -- glam rock is fun! Sorta sounds like bowie at points
I really liked it! Cool alt rock!
5/5 love itttttt
Not crazy abotu Van Morrison
Obviously very cool and probably super innovative for its time, felt a tiny bit repetitive at times but I think I just need to listen to it in the right setting
Hmm some songs are kinda cool but its sort of plodding and annoying at parts
i liked it a ton, the hazy instrumental with electronic elements is very new wave - no huge standout songs on the album but overall enjoyable
I thiought this was so cool! Very enjoyable and cool cover art and cool guitar and lyrics
Carpenters are so beautiful, the wind instruments and harmonies are just beautiful
Hmmm... kinda non-offensive but also not really my thing. Not bad!!! Just not wow - one recognizable song on there that I enjoyed but sort of a confusing beat paired with the vocals which could be cool but i dont really feel like it worked. On the other hand I really love the album cover, its really cool and sort of sick for 1998
I love this so much! I love the ambient vibes at the end but also the stuff at the beginning a ton too thats more like the bowie that I know and recognize. So great and creepy and cool and awesome
Such good pop! Really liked it
It was ok! Not that memorable but i enjoyed it
OK wait i am liking this so much more than I expected :D its really fucking fun i wanna boogie
Hmmmm its ok, I obviously know some of the songs already but some of them felt very same-y
it was cool! sort of weird and grating at times but other times very fun
Its interesting for sure but i am NOT having a good time haha
hell yea
Really not for meeeeee
It was cool sort of like 80's goth stuff
It was good! I agree with the reviews that the music is great but i am not a fan of the lead singer's voice at all. The one song with a female singer is the best lol
Loved it!!!!!!!
Loved it!!!!!!!
Loved it!!!!!!!
So cool i love sly & the family stone
Not my favorite Radiohead album but still enjoyed it
Not sure about this........................ I see what its so polarizing - its weird and maybe smart but also kind of unlistenable.
Loved it
loved it!
loved it!
Its cool but not really my thing
