In A Silent Way by Miles Davis
Mar 22 2024

Interesting, definitely not my style. Not repetitive, and goes in unexpected ways but still peaceful and not too crazy. 2 very long tracks only.

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
Mar 25 2024

Super chill with a few classic songs. Still struggle a bit with steely dan's vocals but you can see the detail and precision in their songs.

Brothers by The Black Keys
Mar 26 2024

Really enjoyed "Too Afraid To Love", beat reminds me of a Wu-Tang song. All the songs seem to blend together. Definitely feels very pretentious. It's good for sure, but just seems to full of itself. Enjoyable really a 3.5 stars for me

Is This It by The Strokes
Mar 27 2024

Just not feeling it, they were never in my wheel house when this stuff was new, and hasn't really grown on me since. Some catchy stuff in a few song for sure, but just not understanding the hype.

21 by Adele
Mar 28 2024

Stunning voice. Obvious similarity to amy winehouse

Mar 29 2024

I'm likely missing a great majority of the meaning given my inability decipher a majority of the lyrics. Honestly not sure what to think of this, some of it is entertaining, it's all over the place in terms of musical style, lyrical content etc. Wide ranging.

It's Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Apr 01 2024

Zero is excellent.

Maggot Brain by Funkadelic
Apr 02 2024

Great. Way out there, but still accessible and entertaining.

My Generation by The Who
Apr 03 2024

Some classics, but rough. Never quite realized exactly how this early british stuff took from R&B bands.

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Apr 04 2024

Slow and mellow, definitely not my cup of tea but I can appreciate it.

Court And Spark by Joni Mitchell
Apr 11 2024

Great voice, some haunting tunes, but still sounds amazing today. 4/5

Rattus Norvegicus by The Stranglers
Apr 12 2024

Strange, music is catchy and definitely a lot of familiar vibes in a lot of the songs (not sure if it's them copying others or others copying them as I was totally unfamiliar with the band). Lots of seemingly needlessly graphic lyrics caught me off guard.

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Apr 15 2024

Excellent as always.

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
Apr 16 2024

Definitely has a lot of huge ideas, not totally sold on the content but have to respect what was attempted.

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Apr 18 2024

A true classic.

Entertainment by Gang Of Four
Apr 19 2024

Classic and all time great.

Moving Pictures by Rush
Apr 22 2024

Great musically, but just for the life of me can't get over Geddy's voice...

Blunderbuss by Jack White
Apr 23 2024

A whole lotta meh, not super interesting and just downright strange at points. 2

Under Construction by Missy Elliott
Apr 24 2024

Very good and a real throw back for me. 4

Lust For Life by Iggy Pop
Apr 25 2024

Very good, never really listened to Iggy outside of the "hits", but very enjoyable would listen again.

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Apr 26 2024

Very good musically, definitely not my preferred stuff but enjoyable none the less.

Are You Experienced by Jimi Hendrix
Apr 30 2024

Very good and listenable, went through it twice in fact.

Hearts And Bones by Paul Simon
May 01 2024

Think too much (a) is amazing. Cars are cars - good as well. 5. Excellent album.

The Stranger by Billy Joel
May 02 2024

Not a fan of his faux deepness, and he gets on my nerve a bit, but can't deny the excellent production and musical qualities. 3

May 03 2024

A product of a different era, hard to really judge it but nothing stood out as being memorable to me at all. 2

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
May 06 2024

I'm clearly either a basic bitch or the lyrics are all just verbal diarrhea trying to sound deep. 3

Funeral by Arcade Fire
May 07 2024

Fine. 3

Grievous Angel by Gram Parsons
May 08 2024

Love hurts is great cover, overall reasonably enjoyable.

Bone Machine by Tom Waits
May 09 2024

Crazy and insane as he is, but overall not bad. 3

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
May 10 2024

Simply incredible and one of my all time favorite albums.

Stankonia by OutKast
May 14 2024

A wild roller coaster of creativity.

Kala by M.I.A.
May 15 2024

Strange and all over the place..

LP1 by FKA twigs
May 16 2024

Dig it, very good.

69 Love Songs by The Magnetic Fields
May 17 2024

Full of itself

Chirping Crickets by Buddy Holly & The Crickets
May 20 2024

Just a lot of meh, a different time and some obviously classic and memorable songs but not for me at this point.

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
May 21 2024

3 all time classic songs. Her voice can be a bit grating, but overall impressive.

Parallel Lines by Blondie
May 22 2024

Not great, not bad, definitely not my cup of tea though.

Sound Affects by The Jam
May 23 2024

Start! the best song by far. Scrape away wasn't bad.

Tres Hombres by ZZ Top
May 28 2024

Never listened to a full zz top album before, but this is quality.

1989 by Taylor Swift
May 29 2024

Clearly catchy tunes but just some vapid, low self esteem, and degrading lyrical content

Liege And Lief by Fairport Convention
May 30 2024

Interesting and had no expectations going in. Definitely not my style but appreciate it.

Gentlemen by The Afghan Whigs
May 31 2024

Probably a 3.5 for me. First time listening, but enjoyed it. A bit chaotic in places but a nice dip into a full Afghan Whigs album.

Since I Left You by The Avalanches
Jun 03 2024

Had zero expectations coming in, but fun and interesting.

Jun 04 2024

Pretty good and amazingly creative, but again lyrical content is disturbing, even more so given what we know about the artist. Obviously not surprising given the title but still

Bluesbreakers by John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers
Jun 05 2024

Fine, nothing incredible and given the history of these types of groups...

Drunk by Thundercat
Jun 06 2024

Love it.

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Jun 10 2024

Realizing it can be difficult to put things into their time and perspective, but at this point just feels like a bad white dude hip hop skit.

Crime Of The Century by Supertramp
Jun 11 2024

Really interesting, definitely a fan of Hide In Your Shell

Os Mutantes by Os Mutantes
Jun 12 2024

Not really sure what it was, but had some catchy stuff, some head scratching stuff. Was interesting reading about the other artists who claimed they were influenced by the group.

The Grand Tour by George Jones
Jun 13 2024

Definitely not in my zone but pretty much the most classic country I can think of. Some good ones though, but also some depressing shit.

Run-D.M.C. by Run-D.M.C.
Jun 14 2024

Again a little out of time now, but clearly influential and some all time classics.

Black Monk Time by The Monks
Jun 19 2024

Really enjoyed it, a couple oddities, but very good.

GREY Area by Little Simz
Jun 20 2024

In general not a big fan of UK hip hop (if that's the right term) but this surprised me. Not bad!

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Jun 25 2024

Interesting, but mesmerizing.

Oar by Alexander 'Skip' Spence
Jun 26 2024

Bounced between a 2 and a 3. Just another one of those feels like it's trying too hard and missing the target.

The Modern Dance by Pere Ubu
Jun 27 2024

Just strange... a few songs that hit ok, but lots of just random noise.. not sure.

Abbey Road by Beatles
Jul 01 2024

Obviously a classic, though I gotta shake my head at total nonsensical lyrics that try and appear deep....

Space Ritual by Hawkwind
Jul 03 2024

Strange definitely not in my wheel house.

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Jul 04 2024

Great all the way through

Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
Jul 05 2024

Feels incredibly transitory from old "party" beastie boys to their next evolution. Very good.

White Ladder by David Gray
Jul 10 2024

Really enjoyed nightblind

Kid A by Radiohead
Jul 15 2024

I simply don’t understand the fascination

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Jul 16 2024

Ok.

Fisherman's Blues by The Waterboys
Jul 26 2024

Wouldn't have ever thought i'd like this, but i'm damn impressed.

Moon Safari by Air
Jul 29 2024

Not bad, but totally anonymous and forgettable. Maybe it stood out more in it's time, but now sounds like countless other chill vibes type stuff to my untrained ear.

Coat Of Many Colors by Dolly Parton
Jul 30 2024

Classic, truly. Would love to know the origin of her vocal warble/shake voice thing she has going on, was this a thing before her or something she brought to the country music table?

16 Lovers Lane by The Go-Betweens
Aug 01 2024

Had no expectations coming in, but enjoyed it

The Score by Fugees
Sep 06 2024

Some great songs, the really weak between track skits are just.. not something I miss these days.... very hit or miss.

The Message by Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five
Jun 15 2025
Jun 16 2025

Most bearable Smiths album I’ve ever heard, didn’t make me want to end it all. Truly didn’t think that could happen

In Utero by Nirvana
Jun 17 2025

Teenage me thought this was way better than 45 year old me. Some great tracks but overall just doesn’t do it for me

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Jun 21 2025

Pretentious, repetitive, faux intellectual drivel

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Jun 22 2025

All his bs aside, it’s a pretty stunning album

Ctrl by SZA
Jul 04 2025
Ocean Rain by Echo And The Bunnymen
Jul 07 2025

Solid with a few great ones.

Aja by Steely Dan

On The Beach by Neil Young
Jul 12 2025

Great stuff even if I usuallly can’t stand Mr young’s singing

Tommy by The Who
Jul 15 2025

Too weird and demented for me…

Make Yourself by Incubus
Jul 16 2025

Not my favorite, but good for what it is.

Movies by Holger Czukay
Jul 17 2025

Not sure honestly

Pelican West by Haircut 100
Jul 20 2025

Unexpected but enjoyable

Vauxhall And I by Morrissey

Solid even though I usually can’t deal with the moan and drone

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Jul 24 2025
In Rainbows by Radiohead
Jul 29 2025

The longest I’ve ever been able to stomach Radiohead outside of creep. Still can’t help that they’re the musical equivalent of thinking your shit doesn’t stink

Solid, the mother song is strange as hell
