Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand
Jun 10 2024

Very much enjoyed. Great sound and variety. Fun band!

Awful. Couldn’t get through it. Too aggressive for me.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Aug 05 2024
The White Album by Beatles
Aug 09 2024

The sheer volume of songs is impressive.

Tuesday Night Music Club by Sheryl Crow
Aug 13 2024

A nice variety of songs. Realized I had never really listened to Sheryl Crow past radio play. Enjoyed the album but tended to fade into the background.

Brothers by The Black Keys
Aug 21 2024

Couple songs I really enjoyed. All in all not a bad album but didn’t leave a lasting impression.

Thriller by Michael Jackson
Aug 23 2024
Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Aug 26 2024

I enjoyed this album. Aqualung, while lyrically it’s disturbing and disgusting, it’s a proper rock song. Love the bass work and how prominent the bass guitar is in so many songs. Also love the jazz flute!

Justified by Justin Timberlake
Aug 28 2024

Not sure why this album made the list. Several of his big hits are on it; lots of radio play but overall not a huge fan.

Machine Head by Deep Purple
Aug 29 2024

Funky jam sessions.

Eagles by Eagles
Aug 30 2024

Surprised this is the album that made the list. Love the Eagles but I feel like their talent is showcased better elsewhere. There are a couple great songs though. And a few interesting creative decisions.

Superunknown by Soundgarden
Sep 02 2024

Not a genre I typically gravitate towards but I can appreciate the talent. Black Hole Sun was a pleasant surprise.

Sep 06 2024

More cow bell!! Kidding…but not really. Was not prepared for a 13 minute instrumental. Very funky with an interesting exploration of sound. Personally I felt each song was a little too long; started to get repeatitive and boring. Could have done with 5-6 minute instrumentals versus 9-11. Great harmony on the few songs with words. Overall not bad. Honestly didn’t know what to expect.

Urban Hymns by The Verve
Sep 10 2024

Several songs gave me U2 vibes. Overall not a terrible album.

Dirty by Sonic Youth
Sep 11 2024

Woof! 👎🏽👎🏽 … Yeah “Grunge” is still not my thing

The Stranger by Billy Joel
Sep 13 2024

My first 5 star! I enjoyed every song except that last one. Loved the range of upbeat and ballads. Scenes from an Italian Restaurant is still my favorite.

The Madcap Laughs by Syd Barrett
Sep 18 2024

Just awful. Sounded like a Beatles reject. I mean I love Pink Floyd but please stop shining you crazy diamond….stick to gardening.

Sep 20 2024

Not sure why this is on the list. Very repetitive, especially after the 4th or 5th song. Didn’t have it but not impressed.

Crosby, Stills & Nash by Crosby, Stills & Nash
Sep 23 2024

I was surprisingly underwhelmed and didn’t love this album. Great harmony though, without a doubt. But not my favorite

Document by R.E.M.
Sep 30 2024

Repetitive, a little boring and monotonous. Thought I would have enjoyed it more.

That's The Way Of The World by Earth, Wind & Fire
Oct 07 2024

Happy feelings was a jam. Overall enjoyed. Definitely a side of Earth Wind and Fire I’d never heard.

Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Oct 08 2024
Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Oct 15 2024

Not my favorite of his but solid.

Cut by The Slits
Oct 16 2024
Graceland by Paul Simon
Oct 21 2024

All time favorite

Elephant by The White Stripes
Oct 22 2024
Zombie by Fela Kuti
Oct 29 2024
Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Nov 06 2024

Never heard of him. Unclear why he’s on the list, multiple times. But not bad. Easy listening but somewhat monotonous by the end.

Moss Side Story by Barry Adamson
Nov 14 2024

Not sure why this is a must listen album. Sounds like the score for a Hitchcock movie or a campy spy movie. Interesting experimentation with sound but not anything I would want to voluntarily listen to unaccompanied.

The Scream by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Nov 15 2024

Couldn’t get past the first few songs. Decent guitar work but her voice is so annoying. Lyrics were weak.

Dec 02 2024

Hard to listen to start to finish, with all of the vulgar and offensive lyrics but I still love Eminem. While harsh and angry, the way he strings rhymes together is always impressive.

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Dec 03 2024
Murmur by R.E.M.
Dec 23 2024

Did enjoy as much as I thought I would. A little mundane and monotonous. His voice became annoying after awhile

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Jan 06 2025

Love her voice. Tragic ending for a rising star.

Jan 08 2025

Always an enjoyable listen. The simplicity of the piano in The Scientist paired with the subtle build. Just lovely. Overall a great album in my book.

Groovin' by The Young Rascals
Jan 30 2025
Mar 31 2025

Michael said it best—a few greatest hits that are big on the radio and that’s why I thought I liked them. Aside from the select few, their songs are random and silly. Rhapsody is a unique song with many layers and components but it’s overplayed and overrated.

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Apr 01 2025

Loved start to finish. Nothing more to say, than has already been said.

Heroes by David Bowie
Apr 03 2025

Certainly interesting. Heroes is great but the rest, not my favorite. And musical experience to say the least. He experimented with sound…sometimes bordering on cacophony. Wouldn’t come back to.

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Apr 04 2025
Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Apr 14 2025

Agree with all of the above. A few great songs stand out…the rest just fade into the background.

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Apr 15 2025

A few decent songs that I already knew I “liked” but the album in general is just boring. Did not enjoy…but they’re ok as a band

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Apr 16 2025

Couldn’t get into it

E.V.O.L. by Sonic Youth
Apr 17 2025

Not my taste

Snivilisation by Orbital
Apr 18 2025

Couldn’t get past the first few songs

Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
Apr 22 2025

Super strong start but they kind of lost me towards the end of the album. Great band either way.

The Boatman's Call by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Apr 25 2025

Easy listening. He has a nice voice. Nice background music with a low key vibe

2112 by Rush
May 06 2025
Ten by Pearl Jam
Dec 02 2025
Synchronicity by The Police
Dec 16 2025

The 2nd half of the album was good and sounded more like The Police. First half was certainly different but not great. I applaud the experimentation with sound but it didn’t pan out for me. Synchronicity II is a winner.

25 by Adele
Jan 05 2026
Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Jan 15 2026

No one song stands out as a real winner but overall easy listening. Love Neil young, just not one of his more memorable installations.

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
Jan 19 2026

Sounds like the love child of Lauryn Hill and Amy Winehouse. And I’m ok with that. Love the beats and bongo presence. Definitely some highs on the album.

The Specials by The Specials
Jan 20 2026

British ska, how fun! Nothing exceptional but it makes you happy. A lot of the songs remind me of pub/drinking songs where everyone chimes in to sing. Love the reggae/Jamaican influence.

Jan 21 2026

This would have been the result if Ross from Friends had a band. A bunch of random sounds set to a house beat. “Jilted” is a perfect album title. Couldn’t get past the first couple songs.
