Arrangements are cool. At first I thought that It bored me, maybe it's designed to be a slow burn...re-listening made me change my mind, I don't know why, but they are kind of addictive. Solid 4/5, maybe even higher.
Good old classic blues rock, not the best of it's kind. It's neither good nor bad. There're are some good basslines and arrangements. Decent, but to be fair, it doesn't age well. However, I'm kind of into this genre so I'd give it a 3 for personal bias.
Quite conventional? There are variations, but it's not experimental/messy enough. Like the album title, there's nothing shocking (a disappointment). I like the instruments and I think I enjoy the latter half more. The album cover, however, is one of the worst of all time. I doubt whether I will come back to it often. I feel like it's a exact 3/5, but the website won't rate decimals so I'll say 2/5 because on a second thought, I don't favor the vocals much.
Messy and energetic, I love it. Finished the first track and it's already 4/5. Very thrashy, very lo-fi. Classic punk sound. I always find this kind of music enjoyable. Definitely 4/5, maybe even higher.
I don't usually listen to this kind of music maybe it's normal for this genre but I do think some songs are draging for too long...
Too much synthesizer sound...I'm not a fan to those stuffs. But the arrangements are interesting. Quite Experimental. Honestly, I don't know what they're doing for half of the time, almost like a troll but I like it, I enjoy the unpredictability. And its so chaotic and 1980s horror picture show vibe, I love it! Isn't the 3rd track come from a Led Zeppelin song, How Many More Times? I recognize the bassline...? Other than that I think it's a close 4/5! I had a lot fun with this album.
First time listening, I actually like this? I don't know how to describe...is decent a good term? I don't want to use the word average because there are some diversities and a couple of "oh that's kind of cool" moments at least...plus it's close to the music I enjoy and listen everyday...so Around 4/5?
It's 70s rock, no more, no less. I'm not a fan of live albums so this just sounds classic 70s rock to me. Good classic rock, i'm just a bit tired of this sound.
Wow rock anime...This is weird and unhinge and I love this. Giving me science fiction vibe! The only promblem is that there are too many synthesizer sounds...I'm really not a fan for that. But it is unique, it has many fresh sounds. A cool album. Between 3.5/5 and 4/5 i'd say. With fewer sythesizer noises it's definitely above 4.
Neil Young is always one of my favorate songwriters. His lyrics are poetic, and his music makes me feel, how to say...calm? A sense of serenity. It's not complicated or rushed, has no intention to arouse your excitement, he just paces steadily, and that brings some kind of integrity. On The Beach is not my favorite album, but it's still an easy 4/5. See The Sky About To Rain is one of the best.
Well produced music...not really my type though....It's good, but definitely not that great? I feel like there could be one of this kind of album every year or two...? Not unique, if I may say. A decent 3/5. I like the bass groove in Mad. Also the interludes are more interesting than the music itself.
The first few tracks are good, but songs in the middle seems to be a bit dull as no exciting changes in music happened, then in Petit Metier music begins to become more interseting again. I appreciate the unique sound it brings but I can't deny that it's a bit homogeneous somehow. I do like the music though, probably a 3/5-3.5/5.
Cheerful classic pop rock, I enjoyed it. But its emm ordinary.
Sigur Rós OH MY GOD one of my favorite post rock bands. They are so good, just, so good. Nothing else need to be said. I admire how they keep everything so light and delicate, almost fragile, and oh dear that melancholy,
that nolstalgia, what an old friend. It's the sound of forest and ocean nights and sweet annihilation. and it's just so beautiful...5/5, 10/10.
I only listen to The Verve casually, that is to say, I only know their greatet hits. This album is good, I never know that Bitter Sweet Symphony is the opening to this album. That song can go down in history (songs are overplayed for a reason). Classic britpop sound, if you love britpop you're probably gonna love this one, remind me of Oasis a couple of times. Not that much of a fresh air though. I personally will give it a vague 4-5, I'm hesitant in giving it a 5, so let's make it a 4. My favorite is Weeping Willow.
My Bloody Valentine, I wouldn't say they are my favorite shoegaze band, but you gotta admit that they are creative and skillful. This album is not their best, not so melodic, not so well structured, more noisy and primitive. I like noise rock; it's a pleasure listening to this, and oh dear, it gets better. Personally? It would be nicer if there were fewer vocals to make more room for instrumentation, but anyway, it deserves a decent 4.5/5 (and higher when you are used to shoegaze).
What is this? I kind of like the messy instrumental part but the vocal, um... what exactly is this? I can stand it but I won't say I like it. 2.5/5.
The album structure is good, very coherent, I like when songs in an album are connected in a certain way, whether musically or conceptually. Lyrics are well thought of but not my favorite (a euphemism for I find it cliche and corny). Instrumentation is fabulous, some of the vocals? Or should I call it harmonies or effects, however, are sometimes cringe...? Overall it's probably 3.5-4,close to 4.
Oh here comes a controversy one. I love Odessa so much it's like one of my all-time favorite tracks from Bee Gees (I'm not a fan of disco, obviously). It transports me to another time and space, like a spiritual journey on the Titanic or whatever the ship is. I love other songs in this album too, especially the strings, and that classic, nostalgic '60s sound is beyond satisfying. Seven Seas Symphony is massive. I love this one, and I even think it deserves a 4/5.
Very thoughtful, the instrumental arrangements are intruiging, I do love the combinationg of the german military music elements and folk songs in this one. The structure is more like musical theater than pop music album? The songs are often too short to be a song but rather a fragment or a motif. 2.5-3, I didn't enjoy it much musically but I appreciate the concept.
Entertaining but just not my thing. Songs get boring over time because they're just pop. Nothing unique caught my ear or aroused my interest. 2.5/5.
Great lyricism is everything. Not my favorite Bob Dylan album but his average lyrics are still better than most other songwriters. 4/5.
melodies are catchy and sweet, but it's otherwise a bit dull. I enjoyed it.
Yeah, Blood Sugar Sex Magik is great. I bet every bassist has this Red Hot Chili Peppers phrase, or whatever you call it. You know, funk rock is not typically my thing, but I can't think of a reason not to show some respect to this one band and album. I'm not here for anything other than the basslines anyway. 3.5/5
This album is so cool! I never heard it before but it's WILD! I'm specially fond of music with such characreistics, unorganised, without formal structures. I don't know what's goning on but it's such a fun ride! Straight to 4/5.
Cheerful in vain, some feet tapping happend but end up being nothing unusual. And their drum is really not my favorite, both sounds and arrangments. maybe a 2.5...Butter The Soul is fun because of the scratching and sitar (is it sitar? i don't really know) sounds. Honestly, the only good thing in this album is the sitar and dholki and those indian features, but the singing and electronic arrangments kind of ruined them. I didn't enjoy it for the most of time so screw it, let's give it a 2.
Oh, I love this one. Fierce and aggressive, unpredictable changes with experimental sound and structures. So noisy and chaotic! This is exactly what I signed up for! I would give a 3.5/5 exactly on this one. It's not so nice sounding but weird and fun!
This album is everything that I love. Fast and aggressive sounds, a bit messy, a bit noisy. Love the guitar, love the vocal, love the effect and the arrangement. Love everything. 5/5.
I've never listened to this album before and i only know King Crimson for their most well known album. Lucky for me to find this one! It's very enjoyable and interesting, always progressing and ploting and metamorphosing. A very satisfying journey, I think I can sit here all afternoon listening to this on the loop. Definitely above 4, like, a solid 4.5 and above.
Proto punk yes let's gooooo. James Williamson's guitar, oh that sheer power and aggression, and Iggy's voice, that rawness, wow. I'm quite speechless in face of this album, such a fresh breath of air, so lively yet so painful. A perfect creation. Tis is punk. I love punk. I'm giving it a 5/5, for personal bias, you know, personal bias.
I have no reason not to give this one a five star, like, I spend countless time with it...soft and chill, slowly drifting away in the tide of lyricism...oh such a joyful ride, another aspect of life, makes me sentimental.
Pop. Electronic pop with a bunch of syth. Two things that I don't enjoy. melodies and arrangements are ok. The Heart Remains A Child is good, esprcially the guitar on the left, quite interesting. But overall it's just not so memorable. Well produced, enjoyable when you are in the right mood, but otherwise boring. 2-2.5 i suppose.
Garage post-punk style? I like it straight from the first track. I might not listen to it quite often cuz there are other better ones. Havy bass elements, just like what should happen in post punk music, satisfying. Some weird mixing, not sure if that's my headphone or. I'd really like to give it a 3-3.5/5, I first thought of giving it a 3.5-4 because I'm right in the mood for some new post-punk music, but this album is way tooooooo long.
I don't like Marilyn Manson, but I love dark industrial sounds.
Generally, just, not my thing. Good country or folk pop, I like some of the drums but I guess I have to be in a right mood to enjoy this kind of music, which I'm not in right now. I would appreciate it if it's a video soundtrack, other than that, emm well...not my thing really. Somewhere around 2.5, I guess.
Why are these folk rocks so unappealing? It's boring and that's all I have to say. The sounds are so cliche, the lyrics are so pale, and the harmonies are also just so uninteresting. 2 is the best I can give. The embodiment of BORDOM. How can anyone stand this?
I love the experimental sounds in this album. The electronica in The Jungle Lines is exciting, creating a unique sound. The other tracks are not so distinguishing, but I absolutely recommend this. It's entertaining. Harry's House/Centerpiece is good also. It's somewhere around 3.5/5 for sure. The album cover is pure art. I love it.
This is kind of the music I like to hear. Not so smooth first time listening but still...I love the industrial and noisy total atmosphere. fast fuzzy fabulous furious, yeah, of course I love this. And hey, maybe it's a bit far fetched but I think black midi also got a lot influence from this one. pioneer of dark industrial noise rock, you have my respect. I love it more and more as I continue listening, amazed! Around 4,5/5, let's give it another 5 because the album cover is so good.
It's pleasant. Classic hard rock, I think. It meets my expectations but nothing more. I'm in a good mood today for this, but any other day? I have no idea. 2.5-3/5 seems a decent evaluation. Half of the riffs and sounds give me deja vu.
Not entirely my thing but impressive though. I don't normally like this type.of folk but it does come with some interesting sounds...Again, not the music is would actively listening to so...perhaps a 3-3.5/5.
I wasn't really paying attention to this one because it didn't arouse my interest. Sure, it has some features that I should've enjoyed, but in reality, I just didn't. It follows the classic sound of 90s Britpop, especially Blur. However, it didn't exceed them. I don't know; it's just a feeling. Maybe it's just that I'm not in the mood for this.
OMG, THIS IS MY FAVORITE MY BLOODY VALENTINE'S ALBUM. The soft noise and sound wall give you the feeling of being pulled away from everything and drifting in the beautiful blueness. Sometimes, I love it more than Loveless. This is so beautifully and perfectly done, so admirable I'm speechless. A completely unarguable 5/5 album here because, damn, this is one of my all-time favourites.
Big name, but no. I'm not really a metalhead, and I won't claim to like this kind of music. It's a bit unresting and annoying, just like most metal music to me, with some shallow aesthetics and annoying shouts and is filled with that...masculinity. The instrumentation is...fine? There are moments when I think they are too "neat," but overall, I enjoyed the instrumental parts. 2.5/5, I suppose, Megadeth and metal propaganda is on sale...but I'm not buying it.
This. Godlike. Siouxsie And The Banshees is one band that highly influenced me when I was young, they're probably one of my fav among those OG goth bands. I can't tell you how much they shaped alternative(goth) rock and post-punk. I love and respect this album. 5/5.
ahh this is...not attractive. Yeah pretty but dull. I love some of the baroque elements, but speaking of baroque pop, I think I have better choices, non? Thank you for reminding me that I'm not into acoustic music. Almost 2.5/3.
An hour of jazz ad lib? Cool. But only piano? Not that cool. Again, I'm not a regular jazz listener so...I'd like to say it would probably like it more if it has more different kinds of instrument in it. But still, the piano is beautiful, especially Pt.II A. A solid 3.5-4/5 to me. I enjoyed it. Sometimes jazz is basically classical music.
This is...bad. Nothing good or innovative. Generally like something a SNL sketch would write, it combines all the iconic 1980s sounds but make no effort to be progressive in any means. Just some hollow repetition of what already exists. A album I have to endure? Simply no.
I've only heard the name Iron Maiden before but this is...well...expected. Metal. Riffs are cool, rhythms too. Still, I don't like that vocal and I don't like the timbre of the drums much. Songs are good themselves. I think its a roughly 3, I'm just...not that into metal. Solo in Phantom of the Opera is cool. Transylvania is very impressive too.
The Clash, yes! I basically love their every song. This may not be well produced, or composed in a very skillful way, but hey, it's punk so it's okay. You can't deny it is a thoughtful and well written album...and I just love the energy and the recklessness. Defo 5/5 because, well, let's just say I really adore them.
wow I like this! I always adore hardcore punk and this album's cool as hell! No single melody found (in a praiseworthy way)! They did release it in 1983, so I guess this made them the pioneer for hardcore sound? Admirable! What an incredible ride, I truly love this. 5/5. The album cover is a work of art too. Iconic.
This Actually BLEW MY MIND. The instrumentation is so attractive, makes me thinking it would be better without any vocal. Released in 1973? you say? This sounds so morden and avant grade. OH Wait wait wait and this is the band that once had Brian Eno? I heard of Roxy Music but never listened to them. As far as concerning this album, I love the sound of it, especially the production and arrangements. Whatever is going on beside the main vocal melodie line is cool as hell. I yearn for more. Closely 5/5.
Jazzy. I think I'm slowly getting into jazz, thanks to this generator. I actually enjoyed it, it's quite joyful and satisfying, I would probably give it a 3.5-4/5. Strange Feelin' is an amazing track. Love the marimba or whatever that sound is. People really should use marimba in modern music more. Don't quite like the folk and rock side of this album (e.g. Gypsy Woman), overall it's quite pleasant though.
I mean, yeah, Red Hot Chili Peppers, yeah, Flea, yeah, the bass. Who's even here for other stuffs. Album is average cool (however this might be my favorite RHC album, idk, I like it more than BSSM.) but as a bassist it's always a pleasure to listen and play their songs, so 4/5.
Though it is prog rock judging from the album cover, but sadly but luckily it's not...or is it? Maybe progressive in another way. But mostly it's quite vintage. Average. A bit repetitive non? well I mean apperantly there are noteworthy stuffs but ummm overall it's...a bit rock here, a bit punk there, can't believe it released in 2002, some of the sound reminds me of The Clash...slightly above 3/5.
Love Sonic Youth. This might be my least favorite sonic youth album, but still one easily above 4/5, far from perfection, yet a work of art. The way they used music and noise to reach out and tell a story is so intellectual. It's always nice to listen to some noise rock every now and then. I love In the Kingdom #19, it's my favorite track in this album, so beautifully done.
Not as great as Goo and Daydream Nation, yes, but this one should still be somewhere close to 4.5/5 and that's not an accurate description for in reality it's not a 4.5/5 thing-y. It's more like a "depend on my mood I would either give it a 5 or a 4" kind of stuff.
This is CHAOS I love it. A showcase of how to use effects and samples for artistic purposes, I think all modern musicians should learn this. It's not the kind of music I listen to repeatedly, but I love this. 5/5.
no, please, just, no. Some of the melodies are nice and smooth but this is boring. Very psychedelic and i don't know, maybe psychedelic rock is not my thing after all. Very Magical Mystery Tour. Some are interesting, but for the most part it's just boring, I can imagine people enjoy it, just not my thing in general. 2-2.5/5.
Never judge an album by its cover, I see. I thought it would be some old classic rock or country rock, but it's actually synth rock and kind of new wave. I still don't quite like this album, but it's more interesting than I thought (but still a bit dull; the opening track is fun, but those that followed are not so creative). I think I'd give it a 2.5/5 for this one.
I like it. The melody is beautiful and I always love when the songs have more pure instrumental parts and some room for experiment. This is exactly what I'm looking for on this website. Simple enjoyment, I would give it a solid 4/5.
Hell yeah I love Fun House! This is thrilling and energetic and everything! An album you know you can keep listening over and over again and still enjoy it. I'd give it a 5/5 with pleasure.
Please don't. This is way too corny and not what I enjoy at all. How could this get on the list? Fine, one must say it's well-produced to some extent, and the melody is...okay? I like the opening track, "Please Forgive Me." It's classic folk/folk rock, but other than that, I have to say this album lacks creativity and is actually quite dull. The vocals are also not that much of an enjoyment. A 2 is the best I can give to this kind of music. A 1.5/5, if you want me to be precise. It is tolerable, but honestly? Boring as these singer's life.
Beautiful singing, boring songs. Sorry, but no, I really don't like these country songs. They just go on and on(in a negative sense) and seem to have no ending, which makes you let out a sigh and say, " Thank God it is over." 1.5/5 for her beautiful voice; other than that, there is nothing distinguishable in this album, just some regular country music you can find anywhere.
I got this one exactly on Christmas day? Wow. I don't like Christmas songs. Oh no. Darlene Love's singing is so beautiful despite all odds. I thought of giving it a 2-3 for that but hold on a second... Christmas songs...no please, torture me no more.
This OMG, THIS I‘m SPEECHLESS. Abbey Road, YES, is a pure masterpiece, GODLIKE, and iconic. I remember hearing this album for the first time, and I was like a deaf person first hears sounds. This is 10/5, unarguably 10/5, 11/5 even, if they put The End to the end. Words can't describe how I love this album and The Beatles. Calling them The Greatest Band is still an underestimate. Every track in this album is flawless; EVERY TRACK is classic.
This album has EVERYTHING. "Come Together" is one beautiful opening. "Something" is so satisfying — I adore George very much. "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" and "Octopus's Garden" are quirky and funny. Songs like "Oh! Darlin" and "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" are wonderful rock ballads. If you are looking for good Psychedelic Rock, tracks like "Sun King" are gracefully done (I still miss John Lennon.jpg). "Because" is so beautiful, and "You Never Give Me Your Money" can be one of my favourites. "Golden Slumbers" Suit is Paul's most remarkable work, I would cry 100 times along with this tune. Don't forget "Here Comes The Sun"; this one literally saved my life. I don't need to say nothing no more.
I will love The Beatles til the end of my life. And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make. Peace and love. Peace and Love✌😎✌.
This is a classic one. I won't claim to be mad for it, but I do enjoy most of its songs. I hear some Patti Smith in this album, really. Although I don't know whether it's just my imagination or not, it deserves a 3.5-4/5. I like "Warning Sign" and "Artists Only".
The album cover is cool. And speaking of music well, the instrumentation is exactly what I like, fast and aggressive, distroded and noisy. However, speaking of the vocals, I have to say although I do live screams in songs, there is just too much of those in here; at least sing *something*. Or simply just make an instrumental album already! I like the album in general, it's a 3.5/5.
Let's take time to talk about this masterpiece because I'm literally crying. I'm not here to stress its historical significance or artistic achievements, but I'm speaking for myself. This album is so important to me emotionally because it was the very first rock album I've ever listened to (and the very first record I own), and it opened a whole new world to me. I used to think rock music was just loud, annoying noises, and I really did not care much about musicality- until this. This album is just so beautiful and thoughtful; I can hardly describe the astonishment I felt when I first listened to it; all I can responsibly say is that if it were not for Queen, I wouldn't be here on this website. I won't have the desire to study or even really "listen" to music. This album is one of those things that changed my life. Queen is one of those things that changed my life. It means everything to me—a complete 10/5. Years pass, and I still love this; I still love them.
Also, weirdly enough, my favourite tracks are "'39" and "The Prophet's Song". I cry over "Love of My Life" every time.
Jazz is...Jazz. I mean, it's chill, but you know Jazz tend to get boring after 30 minutes.
I don't really listen to Pulp, actually. I mean, I've heard of them. I know they are called "Britspop," and I may have heard some of their tracks, but I haven't checked their discography, ever. This album is enjoyable, very modern, and very late 80s and 90s. Every sound of it reminds me of that era, from different aspects, obviously, so I guess you can say they are versatile. A worthy 4/5. “Dishes” and "This Is Hardcore" are terrific.
Not Bad. Chilling. Pleasing to the ear. Just some folk songwriters minding their own business.3-3.5/5.
Still not a fan for live albums. Besides, I'm a bit sick of traditional power pop and arena rock now, yes, they maybe good, but I'm really tired of hearing those sounds. Just I want to hear well crafted art not passion. A 2.5 really, they maybe good and they are definitely killers at live but well...not for me, not for me.
Well, Morrissey is...Morrissey. I can't pretend I don't like his writings because his an absolutely awful person. Surely the musicality is not the same without Johnny...but his lyric writing is still so impressive and moving(political view aside, talking about literariness here). Oh I love his insights and when he's miserable...An exact 3.5/5 for personal bias, this is surely not my favorite Morrissey album, and I don't like his personality so I'll give it a 3. but well...Guilty Pleasure is guilty please for a reason.
First thing first, I like the cover. Second.thing, this album didn't leave me any impression apart from the music is not bad and it kind of sounds like New Order? I guess.
Re-listened. Oh dear, my fault, this is interesting and amazing, and it keeps getting better! And it still kind of sounds like New Order I won't apologize. I think my favorite is "Halo". Above 4, absolutely, 4.5/5!
A bit cliche for a 1986 album isn't it? Thought it was released in the 60s. Phoney Beatlemania...
Well...I love punk post-punk don't get me wrong. This is surely iconic and unique but this is well...probably one of the least favorite album of the whole genre to me. Very unique but like...the intolerable way...
Insane. Oh dear I love "Peephole", the polka elements and metal/core/whatever elements melt so well. And from that song, everything just gets better. 4.5/5.
Oh, jazzy and delightful, I like it. The sound brings back some 70s nostalgia; the vocal is...well...singing. Glam rock. Sounds Queen-ish, sounds from Rocky Horror Picture Show, but I guess that's just how every glam rock in the 70s sounds like. I don't mean to compare bands with bands, but you have to admit that not everyone can sing like Freddie. I can enjoy it, but I don't see why it's on the top 1001. It's like a 2-2.5/5 album to me. Also, the lyrics are boring; you have to be musically as good as Led Zeppelin to get away with those lyrics, sir.
The first track is quite experimental, the minimalism style. The rests are also pretty fun, "Les Yper-Sound" has quite a few interesting lyrics (others as well).
It's overall enjoyable especially when you're bored and really want to dive into music. I'd give it a 3.5/5, probably.
It's weird because I don't like this. The arrangements are too harsh, especially the drums and perhaps the tempo and even the violin!!! Too fast, too loud, too annoying, a bit plain. It's just weird to picture Paul Simon with this kind of style, probably because I've listened to too many Simon&Garfunkel.
Melodies are beautiful as usual, The lyrics aren't bad (folk rock after all, I value lyricism). An overall 2.5/5. My favorite tracks are "Duncan" and "Peace Like a River".
No, sorry. This is too bad. I hate this. Urrrrrr, some of this is not that bad, but it's overall just weird in a bad sense. And the sound is not very pleasing. It's probably a 1.5/5.
It is beautifully done. I love the arrangements and the variations, umm it's hard to describe but I enjoyed it it's like a 3.5 overall.
It's mild good. Mild, but it's enjoyable, good.
Beautiful songs and amazing vocal, just simple and enjoyable...I love to listen to this type of music once in a while. 3.5-4/5
Good R&B record, the singing is so beautiful, however, some tracks are unnecessarily long for a vocal-dominate genre. Still, so enjoyable. A 3-3.5/5.
Intense, I like it. Wish it could be even faster and more aggressive, you can't never get enough of this type of music yk. Riffs are cool. Vocal is not that exciting. Still like it, for listening to core is always pleasing. maybe a 3-3.5/5. Love the little weird effects on "She's Calling You", wish it could be more.
Lost my focus within 3 tracks, so I guess it's not very interesting. Probably giving it a two for I can endure this.
So cool oh my god, giving me space rock vibes, giving me Outer Wild vibes. So comforting, so...dreamy, but yet it's completely lucid. A Lucid Dream, as you can say. Got me completely falling under it's charm. 4.5/5 or above.
Chill country-folk-rock. Enjoyable when you're sitting outside in the lawn with a cup of summer wine. Unfortunately I'm never that kind of person, so it's just a 2.5-3/5 to me.
This is my favorite Pink Floyd album and probably the only one that I still love now. It is truly a perfection. I don't need to say anything else, straight to 5/5.
I like it. Quite enjoyable to listen to the sounds of it. The syth sound is completely not out dated which is impressive. Not the type of music I would repeat day after day but it's beautiful and attractive. At least a 4/5, can be higher.
First of all, I love this. You can tell this is prog rock, yet the sound is very classic, especially the guitar tone and techniques they used, very 80s hard rock/metal. However, they managed to create a somewhat innovative and unconventional structure—at least a 4/5."Limelight" is beautiful.
I don't think I like.this, it's a bit dull
Never liked The Rolling Stones tbh. I'm sure they're rock icons but for the most of time their music is just simple unstandable to me...I can see their influence on so called pop-rock easily I mean when you-never heard rock once-pictured what it's like to sound "rocky" it's the sound of Let It Bleed. However I really don't like them.
Good rock music. Traditional and classical ones. Not that distinctive or innovative. 2.5-3/5
This is exciting! Radiohead don't disappoint.
I can't describe it but I like this. Sounds very...unconventional but familiar?
I actually quite like this. There are interesting soundings and alter vibes. I really love the whole Glam-Racket,the drum and the bass are very grunge like, Very pretty. It's a decent 3.5/5 to me.
I love this, though sometimes I just.can't stand Johnny "singing", but it's more like a love-hate. 4/5.
Emm traditional. 2.5-3/5.
U2 is so weird, somehow they just keep making you think that they're just midiocore...it's strange because they're actually enjoyable. GREAT POP SONGS I suppose. I like this album but I won't say it's worth listening over and over again. A 3/5 exactly.
It's good, sometimes it just fells into the background noises. I love it but it might just be I love the genre in general not that I like the album itself. The album feels more like drinking water to me. I like it, but sometimes it's just not flavor enough for me. Still, a 3.5/5 though.
Well, well, if it isn't my favorite britpop band. It could be a 5/5 already simply because of Brett Anderson's voice. Their music makes me feel alive, And that's all I need to know. Couldn't care less about anything other than that. This one is a classic. Maybe just not as good as Coming Up, which is as far as by me, their greatest album.
Very sarcastic and intentionally joking around. Using psyc rock to mock about psyc rock? Smart. I love it. The album cover is classy too. A 3-3.5/5 to me. Love this conceptually. I'm just so obsessed with weird stuffs, I guess.
I love her voice. Sweet yet powerful, dramatic. Music wise, it's not that interesting, just some smooth pop music. However I'm glad to spend a quiet evening sitting on my couch listening to this through the radio, it has that potential. Well, but that's a life I'll never have. Yes, some of the tracks are very musical theatre, which I do like. Exact 3/5.
Like it, just not enough to love it. Very 90s alter rock scene vibe, with some classic effects. It's the type of music that I like to hear. Riffs are sick. No miss (yet no unexpectedly stunning track either, which is a bit weird to me). I enjoy listening to this album, that's for sure. Love "No Bones", the guitar a bit more messy, almost shoegazing. A clear 4/5. It's good.
This is good! I instantly fall in love with the sounds. Some of those melodies reminded me of old classic 60s or 70s rock but with brand new dreampop-shoegaze arrangements. This is cool I love it. A solid 4/5.
5 for the historical significance, and 4 for my personal appreciation. Tommy is a classic, the first Rock opera ever. Plus listening to the music The Who made is just unspeakably satisfying.
This is an album I should be loving, but I don't. Hard rock is just not that much for me right know, really. I can stand this, I mean, but it surely doesn't bring me any pleasure or excitement. I can sense the writing is pretty solid but alas....Nevermind. Probably a 2.5-3/5.
It's good 90s alter rock, at least I know that. Energetic, jangle, just a bit midiocore, given Oasis, given The Smith, very britpop. I generally feel very indifferent towards it. Not outstanding. A mild 3 is probably the best description.
White as hell music, I have to say, I don't normally listen to folk rock. I like Bob Dylan though. A true poet he is. He has a special talent of drawing the late 50s to 70s American society in a most allegorical, metaphorical way. Putting everything under a microscope sorta way. The lyricism are just so beautiful...rarely can I encounter such well written lyrics, guess fontaines did learnt a lot from him. I just have to give it a 4/5.
Elvis is always so cheerful, good music to listen to while doing chores, I even thought I am a white american farm wife for a while. Don't get me wrong, I love Elvis and I do enjoy this album, but it's simply not sth I would normally listen to everyday. My mom would love this.
at late night drinking beer and listening to metallica and keep wondering how can one album sounds so awful. WHERE IS MY LOWER FREQUENCY??? this just feel so weird. I can't stand this. I mean guitar riffs are cool but where's my bass...this sounds so weird and hollow. I hate music without bass.
2 seconds and I already love this. This album is amazing oh my god, jazzy, funky, and a bit experimental. you bet I'd fell in love. Every part of the musical body is well fufilled, there's always something to keep the music going. the narrative and singing voice is amazing too. Beautiful. Can't tell it's a 1971 album, age so well! 5/5.
Great pop song, very iconic. I won't say I like them but I think they're decent.
First impression is that this doesn't sound "pop" at all, but well it's Kate Bush after all. I think this album is still relevant today, and that's quite an achievement for a late 80s pop album. Beautiful music, the only problem is that I NEED several listens to appreciate this kind of music. (though it's still interesting).
Upper class cafe music, but I do like it...giving city-pop vibe. It's good to listen to this music for some petty-bourgeois sentimental activity...such a pity I'm not that kind of person. I still like it, you can tell it's influence on modern city pop. Beautiful.
suburban. I'm so sick and tired of this sounds, it's not terreble, simply plain. By plain I mean white. Love, countryside, white male melancholy, all those stuffs...cliche subject and mild sound. Again, it does not sound terrible, but I feel like it's worse than terrible.
Sorry but I have an irrational affection for Leonard Cohen.
Quite pleasant, a little bit jazzy, a little bit funky. Cozy cafe/pub music, I'm not being ironic. I like it. Probably above 3 but not enough to get a 4. Love "Lemon Firebrigade".
Folk...and that's it? I donno I really don't have anq ear for folk...rarely can I tell if a folk song is good or not...this is...well, pretty boring to me.
I respect whoever's still doing blues rock in the year of our lord 2004. This album is very alternative rock as well though, got some fancy guitar sounds. I t goes straight grab my attention so I'd like to say it is at least not bad. Better than many of their predecessor even. I think this is how blues rock should progress in my mind, it's a fun experience listening to this album. Some melody lines sure sounds familiar but the overall arrangements and instrumental tones and effects are fresh, I think they managed to find the balence between old and new, I very much appreciate this. a solid 3.5/5 but no higher. The late half is surly not as enjoyable as the first part.
Straight to 5/5 this is the fucking Hunky Dory!!! David Bowie is so unique, there's no one in the whole music history like him, the person pretty much define a whole generation's music and fashion(in several different ways). Hunky Dory is essential.
Love it musicwise it's smooth and chill I love the almost whisper like monologue in there especially in "The Vibes Ain't Nothin' But the Vibes"...above 3.5/but not yet to 4/5. A beautiful story book (yet disturbing in essence).
They're Good. Psychedelic folk rock, or at least that's what I think it is. This album is neither thrilling nor unstable, in fact I do like some of the songs such as "Expecting to Fly", "Hung Upside Down" and "Broken Arrow". Guitars are stylish, however is won't say I'm a fan of most of the vocal lines and soundings, typical 60s folk rock. "Broken Arrow" is the best track, got some sound experiments and thoughtful lyrics...and beautiful piano scales. Overall 3.5/5 to me, mainly because of that finishing track without it it would simply be a 3/5, so I might just put a 3 down here.
Just enjoyable and very post-Beatles-pre-Queen-ish? Would be more appropriate if this is released in1967 rather than 1977, but sure it does give that 70s prog pop; symphonic rock vibe. Very smooth to the ear, it's the kind of music I can listen to all day but not every day (gets dull if you listen too much). It's an overall enjoyable journey listening to this album. The little keys are very cute, I love them. An outstanding music album, deserve a decent 4/5.
heartbreakingly beautiful. I love those string arrangements, let alone her unique voice.I won't claim to know much about Björk's music and the album took some time to grow on my ears but I feel it's worth it. “Stonemilker” is beautiful from start to end. worth a 4-4.5/5.
Well that didn't leave *any* impression. General unattractive. Dull music, I should say...Rock 'n 'roll according to the industrial mold. There once was a time that people love this type of music but it's long gone, and I'm happy that phase is nowhere near repeating. A general 2~2.5/5
This is a killer...just light and cheerful rock music, suitable for 0~80 years olds and above...there's a thing called universally good music and it's someone like Born to Run. I just like everything in this album, the music makes me happy, and that's a 5/5 for me .
Smooth music for autism people, if that's a good description(it is not). What I want to say is that this album has that "just minding my own business in the corner" vibe, it doesn't try to sell you anything (apart from really good music, perhaps). Really fine tunes, especially "If You're Feeling Sinister". A general 3.5/5, I grew fond of this one as time goes by. Beautiful, calm, and nothing else really matters.
Lost my attention as soon as it hits track 3. It is entirely my problem but I really don't like and am not familiar with this type of music, i guess it's some kind of hip hop...? I wish they could do more instrumental arrangements, though I suppose this is not what they do in hip hop? I really don't know. Gonna gently put a 2.5 here but I guess it's my reason for not enjoying this.
First of all I am a huge New Order fan, I often view this album as a sum up of what New Order is trying to get musically, that upbeat but somehow groomy syth-dance-new-wave kind of thing. I get it, I really do, however, I won't say I really favor this album in particular, to me it seems they are in a weird and awkward position here, the syth arrangement are a little bit sour and immature, for a type of music that heavily depends on production, yet they are.trying to get rid of their Joy Division/post punk root, so as for a even bigger Joy Division fan myself, it sounds a bit off...but you can ignore what I've just said because clearly I'm highly biased. The music is outstanding. I'd give it a 4-4.5/5. "The Perfect Kiss" is perfect.
I have a very deep personal bond with this particular album thus I am going to give it a 5/5. Musically, this album is exactly what Paul McCartney is good at I think he did a good job in producing this. The album is smooth yet a bit ordinary though (especially comparing to his Beatles live and Geoge and John's solo). However, even considered "pale" in the frame of McCartney music, this album is still enjoyful and skillful enough to stand out for it's own. I do think the album itself can sometimes be overated becuse of the big name. Anyways, "Maybe I'm Amazed" is an excellent song. My favorit track is "Junk", yet another beautiful ballad by Paul, very melancholic and nostalgic.
I love Mark's lyrics but I hate the way he sings, it's weird and quite forced, I mean the world don't need another The Clash. He should've just sing it normally, it would make the album so much more enjoyable...A 4 out of 5.
Generally good pop-rock songs, love the melody and the jangling guitar. the cover looks a bit like robert smith the music reminds me of the cure a little bit too, that "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me" vibe, makes sense they came out the same year.
I really don't have the ability to appreciate most of the Hard Rock, Metal albums, to me they all sounds the same. To be honest, this might be a good hard rock revival album but hard rock is not my thing in general.
I always love the who though i'm not a fan for live albums in general, i mean i love when the recording is done in one take or saveral takes rather than in the combination of different takes on different tracks(if you know what i mean) but there's a certain atomosphere at live the recording just simply can't capture. this is a great live album, for sure, just, for some unknow reason, the recording itself still sounds a bit off to me, especially you can compair the songs to the album version, i have to say i still prefer the studio version.
Went unconscious while listening, but enough to know it is good. I love this, it has everything from cathy tunes to energetic noises and of course recognizable basslines. Probably a 4/5, I like this. Both "The Twilight Hour" and "Giant" are brilliant.
Iconic. When it's a punk album with an album cover of some boys standing beside walls with black and white filter on, you know it's gonna be good. Like, it is so dumb, it is brilliant. I love the sound of it. Bold, straightforward, and classic. Especially the riffs on "Beat on the Brat", so iconic and timeless. I don't know I just like this type of music, weird.
At first is.thought, wait this can't possibly be in top 1001 right? Then I realized that 1001is relatively a large number. This album is not bad, simply boring. Unentertaining. That's all. Just another classic rock album from the 70s or 80s, nothing unique at all.
Indie, hip hop Latin music, an outstanding pop.album, very pleasant. Her voice is so beautiful too, a perfect vocal performance. I like this album. Great music!
love this experimental style of sounds, especially the filter they put on the vocals in Little Red Riding Hood Hit The Road that give them this almost rewinding effect. the instrumental is so beautiful, almost classical like. They remind me of some weird traditional baroc or english folk music, which I really like. Alifib is so good. Definitely above 4 and probably close to 4.5.
Somehow I just don't get industrial metal. I love industrial noises/rock/gaze etc. Just not industrial metal...or just metal in general. I think they just took what other genres does, copy them, make them 100 times more complicated (in a bad way) and then turn to laugh at you showing off their super badass guitar and "original tape" with a smile "bit you can't do that" (real life experience). Yeah I probably can't but where's your originality? Metal is just an industrial product, no wonder all the "charging...into xxx(style)" on YouTube are all METAL. I know there are people that like it but I'm quite afraid of them because here comes the Vikings. And what's wrong with all metal band wanting to create a new cult... Oftenly metal is just a term I use to depic a state of lack of aesthecs or message to delivere. I do listen to avant garde and prog metal and they're nice. This is quite boring, not that I hate it but love it? I will never. A 2.5/5.
Rarely can one encounter such an album that everytime you think "oh, this must be the best track" then as soon as the next song hit you, it's like another whole new world just dawn on you. The album is so perfectly and nearly done, I love the absolute cleanness this album contained in itself. A 5/5 album with no question. "Reckoner" must be my favorite track, or could be "Faust Arp", or could be "Jigsaw Falling Into Place", I really can't decide.
I should like this one but I just can't get into it... for example, "Que' Onda Guero" is fun, but it's too long. I know it's only 3 minutes but still...they are simply not attractive enough. Whatever Beck want to.achieve here, it just doesn't work. I don't know why. It's a rather pale album with interesting things going on. Probably between 2.5-3/5
beautiful blues rock. you can tell it's from eric clapton as soon as the guitar started to play. he's just that iconic.
Hello? I was just listening to this exact album before the generator pop out like this??? I think this album is probably everyone's introduction to proper prog Rock. I love it, and has a habit of revisiting it every once in a while. Very basic but "21st Century Schizoid Man" is still one of my favorite. A very enjoyable album, especially giving that it is one of the first that taught me deep listening, I do think every track on this one is simple master piece. Absolute 5/5 album, it's just classic.
Beautiful boring music from your mamas and papas. The type of album you just don't enjoy but can't claim it's not good. Got many classic tunes that I never noticed are from them, especially "California Dreamin'". Maybe 3/5, I'm not yet old enough to like their music.
With all due respect I hate The Rolling Stones. I won't deny they are great but their music is just pretty unbearable to me. Great Album by the way, I really wish I can get into it, but whatever song people claim to be great, I just happen to hate it, "White Horses" for example, I can't enjoy it, not a single bit, and I don't know why. I only like one Stones album and that's not this one. You can say their songs are masterfully produced but to me it's just weird they occupy so much time to convey such simple motif, like, it's quite unefficient. When you are taking up 5 minutes of my life, I expect some major metamorphosis. "Sister Morphine" is good though, for that song only, I'd like to gently put a 2.5/5 down here.
This is actually the album that introduced me to David Bowie. Awfully bad timing, I should say because I was just began to get into him and then he's no longer with us...but enough of the regret, this is a pretty solid album, I remember when I first listened to it I thought "oh this is very Doctor Who-ish". I mean if the Doctor must have an soundtrack I would've chose this "Blackstar". I love this album, especially "Lazarus", heartbreaking for no particular reason. 5/5.
it is quite surprising that this is a relatively new album, many songs remind me of those 60s or 70s music, in a good way of course. Music is very beautiful and calm, perfect to enjoy in a cool sunny day by yourself. 3.5-4/5
It's an interesting album, I think it's far more interesting than the last Beck album the generator gave me. Straight ahead grabbed my attention by the first track, the keys every here and there is a pleasing surprise. Still, apart from all those interesting arrangements, it feels a bit plain, strange enough because it actually incorporate so many different music genres. This should be the album I like but it don't, probably because it feels a bit overproduced? A decent 3.5/5.
About time. I've listened to 150 or more album on this generator and finally here comes The Cure. The Cure is - if not the only one - my favorite band. They are objectively outstanding and subjectively perfection to me. This is, again, a masterpiece. You just can't find any track that is not attractive and well written. From the dark, moody ones like "plainsong", "closedown", to even more grand, almost disturbing "Fascination Street " and "Prayers For Rain", to gothic fairy tale "lullaby", then there exist a cheerful and delightful one -"lovesong"? And then, "disintengration" and "homesick"?? Need we talk about those two? They are certainly two of my favorite The Cure songs. The album surely manifest how fantastic The Cure is as a Goth Rock band (I use this category only because it's convenient). I don't even have one slight idea how Robert Smith managed to achieve that. Oh yes, and speaking of Robert Smith, isn't he fascinating? I mean especially in this highly commercialized, phoney and sometimes just toxic rock n roll culture? He's not just a master songwriter, but also a brilliant human being? How wonderous, and is such a bless. I'm glad that the world at least has The Cure. There is no option other than giving it a 5/5 and an album long salutation.
Generally decent folk rock. I spent a chilling hours with this album on the road. Lyrically intriguing while musically not so interesting. I kind of fail to see the significance of this album, yet sure, it's good at certain point. Probably an exact 3/5 on the list.
At some point in life Mr. Lin-Manual Miranda must have gain many inspiration in Newman's sing, which obviously...didn't end well. Still, they did sound similar! Come on, don't deny it! It's so distracting I'm not even listening to.the music sometimes. Sorry, but a 2.5/5 is all I have in hand. Old Broadway tunes.
Growing up in a family where Sinead O'Connor is a huge matter...it's nice to revisit her music after so many years and found out it's actually as good as I remembered. It's classic pop songs. I think my favorite is "Black Boy On Moped", especially when after so many years I think I might get some gist of it.
The Jimi Hendrix. Very classic, nothing to criticize. That guitar is on fire. Also, the drums, love the drums. This was the album my dad always recommended to me when I first started getting into rock music. The guitar god, the king of hard rock, so on and so forth. This is indeed an excellent album. Even after I got tired of hard rock, I still found it very pleasant to listen to. Although if I were to view this based on my personal taste, it might not be the kind of music I absolutely love. I mean, musically and objectively it deserves a 5/5, but it's probably a 4-4.5 to my personal preference.
Well...I'm not quite a fan for early Beatles albums, not because they're not good, but they're simply not as good as their later works. However, this is still a talented pop rock album and i can enjoy this if I'm.feeling good. Besides, this is the album with "All My Loving","Roll Over Beethoven" and "Not A Second Time" in it...and that dumb "Don't Bother Me", this song.is silly to a point that i like it. It's no masterpiece(well, maybe a little) but it's still good. Just...listen to the music. Pretty Damn Silly Love Songs. A overall 4-4.5/5
At least this is a decent.album and not as boring as their other ones. Probably due to Brian Eno's production. That man's a genius.
A little bit unmemorable, I have to say. The Verve can write good songs sometimes and this album alone is pretty decent to me, but ir they are just songs. Not even outstanding songs. Probably a 2.5/5.
great, another Smiths album, another album of cool guitar music and Morrissey whining and bitching about everything. Love it.
You know it is somehow a good album when you can tell that you hate half of the tracks but absolutely love the rest. i like it that there's always some weird stuffs going on there somewhere. I don't favor some sound choices they made, but they are arranged nicely. Very enjoyable (at least half of the album is). Higher Than the Sun is absolutely a great song. Definitely Above 4/5.
Yeah, hard rock again... the sound effect is a bit weird; I can't say I like it. There are some curious fragments, though. If only I didn't lose interest in this kind of music...Grande Finale is interesting, but noting unexpected.
I mean it got dream attack after all, that's like, the song I fell in love with even before i know who new order are, and this album is like, almost single handed turned my prejudice towards syth pop and dance category...defo 5/5.
Intriguing music...it's a pretty classic new wave album, although not my favorite. In terms of musicality alone, this album is excellently composed and meticulously produced. Motorcade is a cool song. It is of a high-quality standard that is easily recognizable. However, it is not the kind that I personally prefer. The sounds of the synthesizer are quite pleasant, yet I have no fondness for synthesizers. I can appreciate this album, but I would not claim that it is the one that I would frequently listen to or like. 3.5/5.
The ONLY Rolling Stones album that I do enjoy.and consider great. Sympathy for the Devil is hell of a tune. Jig-Saw Puzzle is good too, Bob Dylan vibe. I like Salt Of The Earth too. Really can't think of anything picky to say towards this album. Love it, and it definitely deserve a 4/5.
I love it. very psychedelic and a bit jazzy. love the constant drone sound. overall very enjoyable. 5/5.
Sometimes I feel like I just can't enjoy regular pop music, and that's really an issue here. The music is not bad, but that's all I can say of this album, because I genuinely don't remember any significant moment where I say "oh, this is good". No uniqueness...is it country rock? I think it's 2.5, but since the site doesn't allow 2.5, I don't know whether it should be a 2 or a 3.
Actually love this. Hole really did stir up some unique and innegligible power in alter rock history. I do love Courtney Love's singing voice and the energy she's able to exude. It's undoubtedly an outstanding album if you put everything else aside.
overall valid album, entertaining as you are doing other stuffs while listening to this music, but if you are looking for immerse listening experiences, maybe find another one. I think it's actually around 3 to me.
Slowly getting into Jazz. This album is very chill and sweet. I like how the guitar and the sax constantly switch parts. I mean, if I am wealthy enough to open a cafe, this should be on my Thursday night playlist.
It's good. It's tango. Tango is always good. Apart from that, I really like the drums in this album, electronica and breakbeats (if I heard it right) in tango is fun! Though I have to say some tracks are not so distinctive if you aren't paying much attention...It should be around 3-3.5/5 to me.
I haven't thought of Led Zeppelin for ages. The last time I listened to this album, I was still in high school and I used to love hard rock back then. LZ II surely is not my favorite Led Zep album but still, I'm a bit surprised that I still like this despite all these years and my being tired about hard rock. A masterpiece a timeless masterpiece. Don't know how to evaluate an album like this...5/5?
VERY psychedelic. Syd Barrett is talented in making psychedelic + prog rock. I like the instrumental arrangements, though I'm not sure about Syd's vocal and melody. The album has that quirky and quaint characteristic, which is fun, but I have to say the music is a bit too ordinary and simple compared to what I am expecting. It's a nice album, I would probably give it a 2.5/5.
Average Elton John album...the kind of music you will hear in your cousin's house during Christmas...not my favorite though...actually it's a bit boring.
Nice country music that's surprisingly actually enjoyable? He's funny, first track and he's roasting those rednecks. Love the album already. Half of the album is also quite sarcastic, which I really like. Musically it's not outstanding, but still enjoyable enough, plus the lyrics really do add extra flavors to it. Overall I would give it a 3-3.5/5.
Another 80s rock album. No doubt the music itself is well produced, but to be honest this thing starts to get boring...
