this album goes crazy. i love how the songs are either 2 and a half minutes or like 6 minutes. i would give this a 4.5 if i could. melds genres so well and has some really impressive geetar

Little Green is a downright perfect song and always moves me to tears. 💚 i love the first half of this album, and the last song is so powerful. it starts to all blend together at some points, but this is definitely my favorite Joni album.

rounding down on my official review because i want to send a message that WHY the hell would i need to listen to this before i die? this is such a spectacularly mid album. Stills is a great guitarist, and when that gets to shine the songs are good, but the vocals, the inexplicable choir, the songwriting, it’s all just meh to me. not something i needed to listen to.
this album is stunning front to back, and i really think The Band deserves the level of notoriety given to The Beatles. such a defining and influential band.
im sorry but i think this is a snooze fest. he’s done so much more interesting, fun stuff. a few good songs but mostly just no thanks

i wish i liked this more coming from a queer trans artist like Chris. i generally struggle to enjoy 80s revival music and this is really part of that category for me. i liked listening to it in french, and 5 dols is my favorite. however, the album starts to feel redundant. there’s so much stuff that could’ve been more experimental. that’s all! it’s all right

this album has such a special place in my heart. i think the first half is strongest. some really good songwriting and so much of what it feels like to grow up in the world a girl. this album helped me learn how to be pissed off. i’m so grateful for that

so boring and musically uninspired. morrissey has a great voice, aside from being the most fuckin annoying guy ever. but like many have pointed out in their reviews, his solo stuff makes it painfully obvious that the heart of the smiths and the talent of the smiths largely belonged to his less annoying, more humble band mates.

i love Bruce Springsteen, and no one was immune to the banal, trying so hard to be deep soft rock of the immediacy of 9/11. it genuinely feels like Bruce picks a few words: blood, lips, seed, sky, and then just tries to weave them into every song even if it’s super contrived. lyrically tired, musically uninspired, and i have to agree with another review that said why not pick an artist at their prime in 2002? there certainly were some. i love The Boss SO much, and this is not his finest by a long shot.
