Janelle MonáeInteresting concept for an album. I got tired of her voice after a while, though. Still, it was a cool experience but, I don’t think I’ll be listening to this again.

Love the wordplay in this album. Hip hop and rap are really not what I listen to normally but it was cool to spend some time in the thought process of a self proclaimed genius. I do not think I will listen to this album again but it was a nice diversion to what I normally listen to.
I already had “Living For The City”, “Higher Ground” and “Don’t You Worry About A Thing” on my phone. Never thought about selecting all the songs until hearing the album in its entirety. Besides the singles, I really enjoyed Stevie’s song about Richard Nixon, “He’s Misstra Know It All”. That song could about our new Commander-In-Chief. Not a bad album from start to finish.
It was okay. His voice was so easy going that it didn’t sound like that he had any personality. The songs needed more life and more improvisation. If I had to pick an artist from New Orleans that I would rather listen to, it would be Louis Prima.
HELL YES! Great album start to finish. My only complaint is that the album was too short. This album is proof that a band can make a that is not overproduced and that it still kicks ass!!
Great album! Lou Reed’s lyrics about drug addiction and BDSM were pure poetry.
It was okay. Rap is not really my thing. The last couple of minutes tied the whole album together though.
This album takes me back to high school. Like my high school experience, this album was not good but, it was not bad either. “Black”, “Jeremy” and “Even Flow” are great songs. The rest of the album was mediocre.
