Fun but not mad about it

Love that the album title sounds like a shopping list. The 59th St Bridge Song made me nostalgic as my parents are fans. Wrongly credited Phoebe Bridgers with putting sad news behind silent night as these lads did it first

Wouldn't normally be my cuppa but this had me grooving on a Monday morning. Now wondering if I can making liking jazz my entire personality

my spotify algorithm must have got a shock. Burn Hollywood Burn was a highlight (but the name hasn't aged well this week)

Love Bowie but didn't love this. Felt long and only a couple songs caught me. Surprised this is the Bowie they chose for the 1001 albums list but maybe there will be more!

More fun listening to this than I expected but wouldn't be rushing back to it. An unusual number of references to legs and thighs. Seems like guitar solos are a lot less popular these days. 2.5/5.

Really enjoyed this! Ex-factor, Doo wop and Superstar were bops

Bjork is someone I would love to see live. Her mix of styles in this album is so fun. I got more into her after seeing her wholesome doc with David Attenborough (he's a big fan)

3.5 really as I enjoyed it more on second listen. Think it is one that would grow on me

Moments of this album sounds country and other more folk. I guess it falls into Americana which can all sound very similar to me. Even though she has an iconic voice I didn't love this

Elliott Smith is someone I have heard lots about but have never listened to an album of. He's a lot of my favourite artist's favourite artist. This album didn't disappoint. Everything Means Nothing To Me was gorgeous

Very fun. Was grooving to this while cooking. Starts stronger than it finishes

Liked this, had never heard of them. Possibly a little bit repetitive (and I would normally have a high tolerance for bands gazing at their shoes) but still interested to listen to some of their other stuff

Have always preferred Cohen's songs when they are sang by/with other people (particularly the webb sisters towards the end of his career). Famous blue raincoat stands out in this album. 3.5/5 really

woke me up

Grateful to get this on a Friday because it's a long'un. Really enjoyed this on each listen. O Children is beautiful (in spite of the image of Daniel Radcliffe dancing to it). I want to see There She Goes, My Beautiful World live

Liked this more with each listen! 60s bops

This album sounds like an indie French film in the best way. They might as well be speaking French because it's limited what I can understand lyrically. It is gorgeous though and each song compliments the next. Definitely one I will return to

Was grooving in the kitchen cooking with this

Difficult to get past the misogynistic lyrics. Putting them (and the unnecessary sex noises) to one side this album does feature some tunes. Juicy stands out. Sent me looking again for the notorious xx project where he was remixed with the The xx album

2.5 really, with the weight of those stars entirely carried by Sultans of Swing

Not for me

Grew up with a lot of Van playing in my house. Lots of nostalgia might be clouding a proper review but I loved listening to this to. Putting his irritating politics to one side, I can't believe he released this at 22

Was looking forward to listening to this to finally understand the hype. It's very long so possibly I needed more time with it but I got a bit annoyed by the whiny protagonist. And then he started singing out of tune. Surprised nobody has ever tried to make it into a stage musical

Bland & boring but listenable

Have never listened to a Jackson album in full and this has not aged well, in more ways than one.

Fun punk pop bobs. Wouldn't return to it as a full album though as some songs felt very samey.

Way more fun than expected

Wasn't sure at first but found myself getting absorbed. Feels like one I might go back to and get more from it on repeat listening

Bjork shines here but the other lads got on my nerves occasionally. Think I would revisit for a couple of songs like Birthday

Some bops by kind of twee

Enjoyed more than I expected, would have preferred to be outside in the sun rather than stuck in an office listening! The Heathen stood out for me

Didn't love this as much as I hoped it would. Grooved much more to the upbeat songs than the ballads

Hard to give this an objective review with the songs being so overplayed since its release. Feel like this is so often the soundtrack of a supermarket trip. While it's bland, I also didn't mind listening to it

New gem for me, reminded me a little of Sinéad O'Connor. Will definitely revisit

Bop after bop

This is just not for me. Actively wanted to turn it off but preservered. Her vocals are great but I can't get away from the background sounding like elevator music to me.

Nice listen for a chill Sunday afternoon

Jazz albums have proved to be a nice alternative to my usual picks for working. This one was an easy listen

Angry and excellent

Found it a bit dull, especially after On the Beach. Album cover looks like he's doing yoga against that tree

These days is such a gorgeous song. Parts of the album are a bit out there but overall enjoyed

Enjoyed more after first listen. Went into expecting just live heaven and it's more mellow but very good

Not mad about it overall, was interested to listen as I like what I have heard of Reznor's soundtracks. Hurt is an incredible song. Really a 2.5

Haven't ever properly gotten into Radiohead to understand their hype. Wasn't blown away by this but would like to listen to more

Was wondering why it sounded oddly familiar, it's composed of samples. Building steam with a grain of salt stood out
