How to make reggae boring and at the end annoying…
the album is so-so, and sometimes there are good rhythm & good vibes, but thanks to "bad moon rising" it reaches the 3rd star
Nice music, easy listening and what an atmosphere for this live in jail
in 2 words : so boring !
Are we in the top 10000000000 ? So boring!
Perfect for a diner or an apéro time
Reggae forever !! nice album but for sure not the best one of the King Bob Marley
When creativity meets melody and music ! Sounds so classic but also so innovative !
Easy listening but too much repetitive, seems to be an 1 hour audio loop
Really nice album, good music and I realized that there a lot of Coldplay’s classic music that are on it 4 stars as I’m ready listening this album one more time
Nice Melodies and rythms
Nothing particular but not really bad
Definitely not my taste but I think that the music is not bad in its style
Good old songs, nice to hear once
What a nice and sympathetic jazzy sound !!
What an album !! 2 major tracks on it
I never liked Oasis so much and when I listen again to this album it does remind me few memories. It looks to me over rated. Some nice music but seems a bit repetitive.
What a nice album, what a melody.... no I'm kidding, absolutely not my taste. No interest at all
It seems a bit conventional to me; it's as if their music inspired other artists... or they were inspired by others. But ultimately, the album is average... There aren't any major hits, and it's easy to forget. I had a good time listening to it, but I'm pretty sure I won't listen to it again.
As soon as the music starts on this album, it's an amazing journey offered by Led Zeppelin to our hears with different styles. Really a pleasant album…. But I’m pretty sure that’s not the best one of Led Zeppelin (only 3 stars due to that )
Thanks to seven nation army , otherwise it was 2 stars …
This is clearly Portishead style but it does not make me travel like the sounds of the previous albums. I did not like it as much as previous ones.
What a nice album to listen !! Respect !!
It's not boring or repetitive, it's very boring and very repetitive. I listened carefully, but all the tracks sound the same, and 3 minutes would have been enough rather than boring me for 1 hour and 5 minutes...
What a voice, what an album, so many hits !!! but this album lacks a bit of energy, which would probably hurts the poetry of this album, to qualify for 5 stars. I already have listened many time this album with great pleasure... but I rediscovered that it also contains a few tracks that I had forgotten because they are not at the level of the album. It would be a small album, okay, but we are talking about a great album here. So I'll stick to 4 stars. Adèle, if you're reading this (the head I have writing this...), call me to improve on your next album and thus get the 5th star!!
Nothing exciting in this album, this is very and too slow even for me. It's not bad either... It's on the edge of being boring...
Many average tracks, but the few big hits are worth a 3-star rating for this album. Can't buy me love of a 4th star despite a hard day's night... ;-)
Ce n’est clairement pas ma came
The band made a lot of big hits and some album can easily be forgotten…. Which is the case of that album !
The mix of influences (electronic, rap, hip hop, jazz) is sometimes of good quality but there are many loops and some melodies which are nice but they are immediately stopped/hashed... The album is a concept that I did not appreciate.
This album starts so nice but the middle of it is so-so what justify not 5 stars and also from my point of view Michael did better album than this one !
That’s a really cool album with a lot of influence.
I already forgot this album, this album is yours ;-) and not mine
I never really enjoyed Oasis. Listening again this album doesn't change my mind. It remains as a "definitely maybe" bad & not good either album
This is an easy listening album… nothing special to remember
Old album… I didn’t like it
It’s how the dire straits became kind of sultans of their music style 😉I like this album but it’s no more that special to me, so only 3 stars
Thanks to the world early rock’nroll tube tutti frutti, it earns 3 stars otherwise only 2. I’m pretty sure it was innovative but now its bit old, still is good I won’t listen it again except the all fruits song
I never listened this album before and I enjoy it. The loops are nice with melodies and it's not yet "right here, right now" its best album. I am patient for the next album.
Old hip-hop, it sounds old & nice... nothing good nor bad...
Mass production is really a nice track and worth itself 3 stars, album is average
This album is a mix of lot influences, sometimes in a good way, sometimes even better and sometimes I don’t like it. Thanks to « One » track, it deserves 4 stars otherwise I would just rate 3 stars. Nice sound, nice music , nice melody on some tracks but they did even better album than this one
It sounds too rock for me, that’s not my glass of whisky… but I don’t agree with « nothing else matters », as the metal sound rock is not for me and I do matter about it. 2 stars thanks for the tube otherwise I would have ranked only 1 star
As every track of the album I will use one word to describe the album : boring. Nothing reluctant to listen but just so boring !
God only knows... why it wouldn't it be nice !! That's a major album that changes the world music... but it's a bit old now and some tracks are far below the excellence of some tracks That's why only 3 stars
Some of the tracks are pleasant to listen to, but some are too rocky for my ears.
What a beautiful musical poetry that speaks to me ! This album clearly has a huge influence and Money is a major tube of that decade !
You know you're not wrong... that was you failed to make a great album ;-) It's not bad... and it's not good either. Sometimes some good vibes... but too rarely on this album to deserve 3 stars
Definitely not for me…. « Eh eh eh » … And no, you’re not the king !!
It's a kind of soft folk music... nothing exciting for me and always wondering where is Luka ? not yet arrived, on the next album :-(
That’s weird 3+3 does not mean a 6 but only 3 stars. Good average album but nothing better and nothing worst…
this album reveals itself little by little and i've come to regret that it's coming to an end. it really deserves its 3 stars.
in one word : tasteless. An album with no interest whatsoever, not that it's bad, but there's absolutely nothing special or memorable about it.
I really enjoyed listening to this jazz album, which has some great grooves, rhythms and melodies.
An ordinary album from the 80s and I don't hear anything memorable except that dated sound As you can understand, I didn't like it even if that doesn't make it a bad album
Let's play this album again and again. This album is a beautiful melody made of many styles that are mixed with talent and grace, in short modern poetry made of electro, hip hop, blues, soul, house... This album has undeniably had a lot of influences for a lot of other artists
When I first listen to the album, it changes me and reminds me a bit of what I listened to 20 years ago... Pretty soon, I get bored, always the same rhythm and tempo. In short, this album is a sort of endless loop...
Maybe this album was a game changer at its time... but today it really seems classic and I didn't find anything particular at its listening.
I didn't fall in love or under the spell of this apparently legendary album.
A bit repetitive and not my style
So borinng !! Is next album be ambient music for lifts ??
What a rocky jazzy bluesy album !!
Nice jazzy album but it does not give me a "boom boom" mood
Easy listening with good vibes, it’s not only « dreams » it’s all about that atmosphere and ambiance in their music
apart from a few songs ("Sunday bloody Sunday", "New Year's day") and the album photo which marked their era and have become timeless, this album is not the best of U2 and is quiet average... but luckily they did not "surrender"
There is something that I don't like while listening this album, I can't really express but a bad feeling. I don't realize also in which way it can have an influence on anyone... As it's not as bas as other album, I grant a 2 stars rating
What a live party along with a great jazzy music !! I really enjoyed listening to this live and festive album
1 beat loop album... Ok the beat is nice, 1 track would be fine but 1 whole album !!!! You understand well : i did not like it
I don’t have the feeling that it will become later one of the major worldwide rock band
Definitely not my taste, it’s not horrible either
A good Funky album for my ears that I did appreciate listing
A jumbled album like a tasteless failed cocktail What's it doing in this selection?
This is really repetitive, annoying... I did not enjoy its listening except few tracks that can "PIMP" a bit my day
The listening makes me "sick'n tired"...
It’s a reggae loop album and the only song that remains to me is the worldwide famous “ no woman no cry »
What a voice! You recognise the singer immediately, the King. That's the true strength of great singers. This is clearly not the best Elvis we know, very rocky and dynamic, but kind of a more mature and slower version like a crooner. Elvis can be tired at that time... he was issuing a studio album every 6 months! This album sounds a bit old, but it has aged pretty well.
A very nice surprising album
I don’t like it and I have no interest for that album that was really annoying for me to listen to it
It sounds to me a bit familiar and outdated, good but not exceptional... It sounds like a good Plan B, but it's missing that certain something to make it a good album.
I really didn't like nor enjoy the listening of that double album
It’s maybe famous for some reasons … but I didn’t find it at the listening. But it’s not bad => 2 stars
This album serves its purpose well as typical pop music aimed at teenagers. It's neither exceptionally bad nor remarkably good; rather, it falls into the category of average, somewhat annoying listening material with an R&B influence. While it merits more than 2 stars for not being terrible (not as bad), it barely justifies a 3-star rating due to its lack of standout qualities (not as good).
I am very divided on this album which is very dated when listening (3 stars)... but many of the tracks covered by other artists have been global hits later on (it really deserves the 4th star). Regarding musical influence, just two words: "Respect & Satisfaction" Mr Redding
This is a very original and very enjoyable album: it blends a lot of sounds and different atmospheres, but all in harmony, and I was surprised to find myself enjoying some of the tracks over time (7 to 10 minutes) but always with the same artistic quality. I'm hesitating between 3 and 4 stars because I'm not sure I'll listen to it again...
The specials have a special music, a nice cocktail of reggae, rock, folk… which was a good mix. I’ve heard bad mix but that one was quite good but I’m not sure to listen again that album. I will stick to 3 stars for that reason
I never understood why Prince's music was so appreciated and acclaimed. I listened to this album and, yes, when it came out it must have been very innovative, but I didn't like it. It's not bad, it's just not my style
It's a very beautiful live album full of energy and rhythms but it lacks lyrics! The drum duet of the last track is very nice and it's a great discovery of Afrobeat music
This becomes a classic and it’s in somehow my maximum of the rock that I do appreciate. Does Nirvana influence that period ?? Without any doubt ! It is a really good album and it really deserves its 4 stars … but it’s not a 5 star gem as well
It’s an easy but a bit annoying listening album. The voice is nice and clear … but it’s good if you want to fall asleep in a short time !! I did appreciate the feeling provided by the classic house of the rising sun
It starts really good, what a groove !! But after it's only an instrumental version and you do know the influence it has but sorry I won't go over 3 stars. A nice live version with good chorals may have reached a 4th and even the 5th star if it's was really excellent... but that's not the case => 3 stars
Easy listening, nothing bad but nothing to remember and already forgotten I don’t see any influence of that album in the music
Good energy, but nothing crazy either, but WHO is it? ;-) I was a little disappointed I didn't have an "amazing journey" but maybe it's not for "my generation" .
It is clear that this album is a "so real" success and that I enjoyed several of its songs which have become classics. Jeff Buckley really knew how to reinvent the song "Hallelujah" with "Grace" ( ;-) )
Pfff between a sad memory, it was not a really good time boy ;-) and I’m not sure it’s make a rock & roll woman !!
A bit annoying, nothing particular, not bad either
A melancholic album, well-made... but without any particular flavor.
Yes, it's undeniably outdated... but its influence on rock'n'roll is undeniable. This album was the first of its kind — a true pioneer that marked the beginning of a new musical era. Elvis, the King, will forever be etched in musical history. And for that reason alone, this album deserves 4 stars. Why not 5? Because despite its legacy, it's simply too dated for me to enjoy again. But giving it less than 4 stars would be a disservice to its cultural impact — and that’s something I can’t do.
I didn't like this album at first, but the more I listened to it, the more I appreciated it. Over time, there's a certain musical poetry that emerges as you listen. It's strange; I was going to give it two stars, but in the end, it deserves its three.
I was not « heartbreaked » by them but it’s quite ok
« No words » no comment Outdated, no influence…
A nice "anonymous" live album... Never heard of Peter Frampton before this listening, nor after I guess ;-) But I spend a nice time listening to this album
Thanks to Pulp Fiction and the classic “Son Of A Preacher Man”, it deserves 3 stars otherwise 2 stars will be enough for this another sweet album but without much interest
Outdated & nice & common album, nothing special for the listening Album almost already forgotten...
Not good, not bad... i did forget many times that I already listened to this album That's clear: no big influence over me
With such poetic lyrics, masterful blues-rock guitar, and iconic tracks like 'Sultans of Swing', 'Money for Nothing', and 'Brothers in Arms', it's impossible for me not to give this album a solid 4-star rating.
A truly great discovery! I really enjoyed listening to this album — so much that I feel like diving back into it and exploring more of this artist’s work. That alone makes it worth a solid 4 stars!
Thanks to a private dancer, a 3 star is granted … otherwise it’s not the very best album of Tina turner. It’s an old fashioned good listening album and we can hear in her voice that she faced a difficult life.
« No surprise », this album stands out for its excellence and shaped its generation! This album brings at its listeners a good karma and also luck
Listening to it, I thought, "Oh, another pop-rock album"... It's well-produced without being good, but I didn't remember anything about it because it lacks any particular flavor.
You can definitely feel the weight of years on this album, but it's like fine wine, it has aged very well. For me, it's a discovery and I'm pleasantly surprised.
I can hear that it could be good music, but it's clearly not what I like.
For one time, an old but good listening album
No émotion, no interest
A touch tiresome, nothing original… pleasant enough, but instantly forgettable.
A surprising album where you can feel many diverse influences that ultimately blend together quite well. It made me want to follow this LCD soundsystem band to get to know them better.
I can hear that it could be good music, but it's clearly not what I like.
What a pleasant surprise this album is, it's been a long time! Yeah, I didn't know the band. Yeah, I like the rhythm and some of the melodies. Yeah, I want to listen to other albums by the band. Yeah, I'm really excited about its rating and I'm giving it a 4 out of 5! Yeahs !! ;-)
It's not my style, it has no influence on me, but I admit it's worth listening to once, but not twice.
I'm not revealing any secrets: this is ABSOLUTELY not my style. Clearly, this album will have no influence on me. I readily admit that I had a VERY hard time listening to it all the way through, even once.
It's nice, it's good background music... because it lacks a bit of personality.
It's an album I only moderately enjoyed listening to; it's probably a bit too rock for my taste. I almost hesitated to give it a poor rating of 2 stars, but it deserves better. However, I readily acknowledge the presence of Blur's hits and that they have their own quite recognizable style.
I had a good time listening to this album, and it reminded me a bit of Rodriguez, whom I really appreciate. It deserves a solid 3 stars but isn't quite good enough for a 4-star.
I must admit that I adore Leonard Cohen's voice, melody, atmosphere, and phrasing; they strike me as incredibly poetic... without even really looking for or listening to the lyrics. This whole album seems simple, almost stripped down, but it's so well arranged and crafted that I'll gladly listen to it again, and that's why I'm being generous with a 4-star rating.
I listened to this album and... I've completely forgotten it! Nothing exceptional, no personality either... nothing to dislike and unfortunately nothing to like!! In short, yet another album that shouldn't be on this list of 1001 albums; there are so many others that should be there instead.
It could have been a single instead of an album; that would have been a better rating for this album. The only song I liked... is the hit "Born in the USA," which has a special energy; the rest is forgettable and already forgotten.
It's undeniable that in this album—which I'm discovering for the first time now—I feel a particular ambiance, an atmosphere emanating from a mix of emotions made of melancholy, rage, sadness, hope, and sometimes even a touch of happiness, but this album is never boring! It's a bit too rock-oriented for me to fully appreciate the melody and the poetry. To my great surprise, there isn't a single track I recognize, and I don't know if I'll listen to this album again, which is why I'll stick to 3 stars.
Thanks to a tube and the voice of a "smooth operator", the rest of the album is just to be forgotten
Upon listening, one recognizes Nirvana's style, very angry, very raw... but not entirely devoid of a certain melody.
It's a rock album that feels dated, but it's good rock that isn't too dated for my taste, so I enjoyed listening to it. However, it's nothing exceptional or particularly memorable.
It's a fairly rhythmic album, and I must admit I enjoyed listening to it... without being too enthusiastic. The worldwide hit "Everybody Hurts" is quite unique on this album, but it has such poetry, such a beautiful melody, that I'm almost tempted to give it 4 stars... and that's exactly what I'm doing!
I'd never listened to Deep Purple before, but I must admit I really enjoyed listening to this rock album.
A very original album, but no less interesting; I was surprised but enjoyed listening to it.
"It's your world" ... I fully agree ! but that's not the music I like listening to
Another old rock album, but quite pleasant to listen to.
A very nice jazzy album
This album is a beautiful evolution with the first pieces that really lack personality and the end of the album is really very creative, flamboyant with this mixture of rock, lyricism, opera and innovation that make the instruments participate in the melody. Who could have imagined a god save the queen so melodious while being so rock and modern. Don’t forget the epic tube “bohemian rhapsody” which is the master piece of creativity and melody. On any album, it gives a 5 star despite some really average tracks !
I'm not a big R.E.M. fan, but I readily admit they have a recognizable sound and voice... but I didn't hear anything particularly memorable on this album.
This album bored me and I didn't understand anything about why it was included in the 1001 albums to listen to...
What creativity, what richness, what melodies!! Even though the album is old, Prince was undeniably a pioneer and an accomplished musician. I enjoyed listening to this album without falling in love with it, and it's one I probably won't listen to again, which is why I'm only giving it 4 stars.
This album is too rock for me and it lacks a few melodious tracks to get a 4th star
This album is somewhat poetic but didn't move me, to say the least, it bored me a little, and it was when I started to appreciate David Bowie's music... that was when Spotify continued with another album
I discovered this album, which is a real "Pearl", and I also discovered Janis Joplin and her tragic life. What a voice! If you have only 3 min available, just listen to "Cry baby". In this album, I was surprised to recognize many musical excerpts I've heard countless times, and I had no idea Janis Joplin was the source. Sadly, she's one of the 27 Club.
What a great album that I'm rediscovering entirely! You can hear all the rock and a certain energy that I really appreciated while listening, and I find myself hesitating between 3 and 4 stars. But it's not an album I'll naturally listen to again, which is my criterion for awarding the 4th star, so I'll stick with 3.
It's a very good album with beautiful, captivating melodies, although not all the tracks are equal and some are even a little boring.
0% influence on me 100% boredom But what on earth is this album doing in this selection?? Maybe the band's name, ABC, is meant to make them easy to remember... apparently it failed.
This album is essentially the blueprint for electronic music; it was way ahead of its time and had a massive influence on today’s scene. Even though it has aged well, I still wouldn't recommend it to a friend—it feels too dated and honestly doesn't offer much of interest by today's standards. There’s much better out there now... though certainly much worse, too. For its huge influence and avant-garde spirit, I’m giving it a very well-deserved 3 stars.
Et l'album semble trop long.
