Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs
Derek & The DominosCan't help that I'm a guitar fan. However no more than 3 due to Clapton being ... Clapton.

Not for me...
It maybe a great album. I almost wish I had not heard the tracks so much when I was young. His voice annoys me now unfortunately.
Trendsetting sounds to be found here. However I don't feel like listening to it again.
Bowie + Eno = <3. Some tracks are easy to listen to and some are like looking at a painting of something miserable and sad. It's weird, poetic, sad, desperate and worth a 1000 listens.
Fantastic album - lyrics and music.
A moving and completely wonderful album.
3 Would not buy the vinyl.
Felt like one loooong track.
I like the real instuments and the harmonies.
The music is more interesting than the lyrics and I can see how that could have inspired later artists. I like the rythmic changes and the improv part. The flute is a bit much though.
Did not hurt but was not memorable either.
They know their instruments and they are not afraid to do instrumental tracks. I liked it more than I thought I would.
An interesting listen given the current geopolitical and environmental development. I like the lyrics and it works well with the music. Can't believe this is from '88 - how would they draw Lady Justice today then?
Don't break the heart of a musician.
Does not really feel like an "album experience" - how are these songs connected? Lyrics and themes are everywhere. Music is a bit monotonous for my taste but it does not hurt my ears.
Definitely glad I heard this album as it is filled with moods and emotions.
How can their aim be that good when they smoke so much? Not an album for me.
I don't know.. It did not fascinate me.
Fantastic album!
Don't like the lyrics or the way he sings. At least now I know where a woman's place is... surprise surprise.
The album is a 2 for me, but her incredible voice and her being a tremendously inspirational individual makes it a 3.
Could listen to it again.
I was not really in this mode when listening. Maybe another day would have meant more stars but today it is a 3. I can hear later punk bands and also a bit of Queen in the vocals which is a good mix. However the lyrics are a bit too monotonous for me.
This has some definite highlights especially in the first couple of tracks. After this, I think the songs are more arbitrary and not so interesting.
I don't think I will listen to this album again. Nothing wrong with the music or his voice, it is just... tedious.
I liked a couple of the songs however most of the sounds did not sit well with me.
Liked this more than Da Capo.
Lots of emotions in his voice.
Sounds like quite the evening! Love the energy, not so much the lyrics.
Worst lyrics I have ever listened to. I had forgot about his use of autotune. And a pity to sample Nina Simone onto this mess... Only plus is that he got Daft Punk and Arca as producers on some tracks.
A nice reunion with "helicopter" and "he would have laughed". The other tracks I find a bit dull.
Great music and lyrics with - for me - surprising depth. I like the 80s sound with the societal criticism. Hereby added to my LP wishlist.
Easy listening.
Lyrically very interesting.
My brain is butter now.
I only knew him as an actor and turns out he made a soulful and interesting album as well. I liked most of the songs.
The sound sticks. Love this band.
Been a fan since I was young. Annalisa is such a powerful track. The album demands attention. Plus humorous lyrics. Love it.
