Popular Reviews

Under Construction by Missy Elliott

Tried to be open-minded about this (c)rap but even speed listening five or six tracks was just simply painful. * (still maintain that this reading system should have a zero available.)

The Slim Shady LP by Eminem

Absolute waste of time; unfortunately no negative stars available

I Against I by Bad Brains
Jun 19 2025

There should be an option to give zero or a minus rating; awful; patnful listening

Walking Wounded by Everything But The Girl
Jun 20 2025

Pleasant but monotonous; boring

Rocks by Aerosmith
Jun 22 2025

“Rocks” rocks; one of Aerosmith’s better albuns

Olympia 64 by Jacques Brel
Jun 23 2025

Had to speed listen to this one; even at 30 seconds per track, that’s five minutes of my life. I’ll never get back. There really should be a way to rate zero.Any more albums like this and I’ll ask to get my money refunded.

Guero by Beck
Jun 24 2025

Good rockin’ album; one of Beck’s better efforts; nice variations

Dig Me Out by Sleater-Kinney
Jun 25 2025

Had to speed listen, again. Have never heard Sleater-Kinney before and hope to never again; Alternative music is not in my wheelhouse; gives me a headache.

Interesting; good variance; easy to listen to

Jul 04 2025

Fantastic; it was so good, I listened to the whole album twice. Thusly, it’s actual rating is 10 stars.

Jul 05 2025

Not bad, just sortadepressing

Better than most of its ilk

Classic Waylon. We lost the giant when he passed.

Queen II by Queen
Jul 16 2025

Classic sounds of Queen; very enjoyable album

Jul 18 2025

I tried putting off, listening to this album as I could, bit the bullet and listened to to it. It was not as bad as I anticipated it would be; however not my kind of music; I am not asking for a refund today.

Kid A by Radiohead
Jul 20 2025
Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield
Jul 21 2025

Meh. I almost gave a second star because it reminded me of The Exorist;; I lived in the Georgetown neighborhood when it was filmed, but no. One star only.

Jul 22 2025

Yes; real music to which to listen

Remedy by Basement Jaxx
Jul 23 2025

Surprisingly, I found that I quite liked this album; a little weird, but otherwise enjoyable.

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Jul 24 2025

Very appropriate selection since Ozzie passed away the day before on July 22. Nice album, however, I am rounding down from 4.5 in rating.

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Jul 25 2025

These classics are smoothly done by the red headed stranger.

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Jul 29 2025

Southern Rock Opera by Drive-By Truckers
Jul 30 2025

I generally really like Southern rock; this one not so much

Under Construction by Missy Elliott
Aug 01 2025

Tried to be open-minded about this (c)rap but even speed listening five or six tracks was just simply painful. * (still maintain that this reading system should have a zero available.)

Drop the word surfer and this band has the perfect name. Head bangers and not very good ones, at that.

Os Mutantes by Os Mutantes
May 05 2026

Very reminiscent of my high school summer spent on the docks of the port of Santos near San Paulo overseeing the pineapple imports. Didn’t understand Portuguese then and still don’t. Nonetheless, a musically pleasant offering for the day.

Music From The Penguin Cafe by Penguin Cafe Orchestra
May 06 2026

The original Penguin Orchestra was better when Opus was a member playing first violin, however, when the Orchestra played a tour date in Bloom County, Opus became smitten with Lola Granola (which ultimately became an unrequited love affair) and dropped out of the group. Nonetheless, they still play pleasant music.

May 07 2026

With his Lubbock background, Ely help make Austin the second best music capital in the world

The Good, The Bad & The Queen by The Good, The Bad & The Queen
May 10 2026

The Queen was probably outraged, and rightfully, so, at being included in the title of this less than stellar offering.

Bug by Dinosaur Jr.
May 17 2026

Speed listening 20 seconds per track was all I could handle - Album is mostly just noise
