Strange Cargo III
William OrbitLoved the first track. Actually like the whole album as background music, or just for generating a specific vibe. Kind of old school techno feel, even bordering video game music, but in a good way.

Really surprised by this one. Had not listened to much beach boys beyond Pet Sounds and couldn’t believe how evolved their sound was. Seemed very ahead of their time
Never knew the name of the group, but knew the hits. Enjoyed it more than I thought I would, but not sure how often I would come back to it
Pink moon is one of my favorites, so I knew I would like this. Already knew a few songs off this one, but had never listened to the album all the way through. Really enjoyed it, still prefer the sparse and simple sound of Pink Moon, but this was a great listen
Just didn’t do much for me. Sounded outdated and repetitive.
Surprised I had never heard of this one. Definitely enjoyed, but would probably need multiple listens to really appreciate
Not a huge fan of the punk new wave, and this didn’t really change that for me. I liked some of it, but not sure how often I’d really listen to this
Such a great album. Always liked Otis, but never listened to a full album. Could see myself putting this on regularly
Had heard of funkadelic but did not know songs off the top of my head. Actually recognized a lot as I played this and also could hear the influence they had in Red Hot Chili Peppers. Great album!
There was a lot to like about this album, but I could t quite get past the shiny vocals and repetitive horns. Maybe it will grow on me if I come back to it
This one was pretty good. It kinda went on for too long, but the variety of song styles kept it interesting. Glad to have heard this
Still remember seeing this vinyl in my parents record collection and wanting to listen to it. Eventually bought my own copy and can definitely say it is my favorite of all the Beatles solo efforts. This re-listen affirmed that and maybe made me love it even more.

Knew the hits of course, but never listened to the full album. It really sure why I never listened to this, I like all the artists that Alice In Chains is normally associated with. Really liked it, though a bit heavier than some of the other grunge I’m familiar with. Would definitely out it for a workout or to just blow off steam.
I will admit, the guitar work is super impressive. Metal just isn’t my thing though, this is like WWE to me. Full of too much testosterone for its own good
Alternative rock is my most familiar and listened to genre, so it is surprising I had never listened to this. I did like it, but seemed very middle of the road overall, either way a few standout tracks.
Biggest surprise of the list so far. Really liked this one, and not sure why I hadn’t heard of it before. Will check out more of Patti smiths music for sure!
3 stars for the voice alone. Did seem to be a little repetitive and too on the nose at times. I think this is actually a 3.5 if this allowed for half stars
Every song was good, with some all time classics. Not sure why I’ve never really explored R.E.M. catalog, but I definitely will now!
Another great solo album by a former Beatles member. Imagine is obviously a classic, also have always loved oh yoko. Still below “All things must pass” for my ranking of solo Beatles efforts, but still very good.
Songs are pleasant enough, but I’ll probably never listen to Dolly regularly. I’d say this is a 2.5
I’ve got to listen to this one again, since I was a little distracted. But really liked what I caught! 3 stars for now
This one was so good! I think I might reach for it pretty often when I am looking for something instrumental or just to hit that certain vibe. Couldn’t believe how accessible and entertaining it was!
Always thought this album was lesser then some of the others in the White Stripes catalog, even though it was probably my most listened to. Coming back to it, I think it is just as strong. Has an epic first half, tapers off a little, but so good and listenable
Already familiar with this one, but got even better with another listen!
I love the song pepper, but this album was the same as any other time I’ve tried to listen to their whole albums….i just can’t get into them. Repetitive and just kinda cringey
Would have never ever listened or discovered this, but so glad I did! And now I kind of want to watch the movie…
I think I liked the 1st half of the album more than the 2nd, but I also feel like this one might grow on me more. Especially if I’m in the right mindset/mood
I was so hyped by this album when it came out and it did not disappoint. However I always felt it played a. bit of second fiddle to their first, and also that The Suburbs passed it. Coming back I actually think it fits perfectly in that trio and stand shoulder to shoulder
Always loved their hits and just never put on a full album! Nothing super new or innovative, but just easy and fun! Solid overall
Didn’t realize Chicago was somewhat of a jam band. I did like this one, would probably skip some songs, but would listen again
I’ve always loved the hits from this one. Album as a whole is nothing groundbreaking to me, just very 90s. Solid overall, but I didn’t find a ton to come back to
Somehow avoided this because of it being a live album. Honestly could t even tell, and what great album it is! Great tracks from beginning to end
Such a different side of Bruce Springsteen than I’ve heard before. Will come back to this one again
I always get nick cave and tom waits mixed up for some reason. Surprised by the great vocals! But just kinda depressing and monotone overall. Maybe if I was in the right mood?
I have tried yes before, but couldn’t get into it. Appreciate guitar work more and more though, and this album also seemed to be a better introduction then I’ve had before. Honestly want to dive into their whole catalog now. This is a 4.5
So different from Nebraska, but still so good! Definitely gaining an appreciation for Bruce
This is almost like the peanuts Christmas album, but for all seasons. So easy to listen to and could be out on at any time and enjoyed.
Yea this is a classic. My favorite stones album next to exile on main street
