1001 Albums Summary

Not my favorite Rush, but definitely an epic. I just like the pop songs for a daily listen more.

Psycho Killer is the standout track. No Compassion is pretty good, too, though. You can see the bones of all that came after.

A few classic hits. I'd probably hit a greatest hits before I'd hit this.

Classics.

Sweet ass dinner music.

Bought it on release.

Good stuff, but I'm always gonna wanna listen to Canned Heat or Virtual Insanity.

Eh. Not my jam.

I should _love_ this. I like it a lot, but it's never quite made me love it.

Heard it.

Help Me Rhonda was a constant spin on the jukebox my parents had won at a charity auction.

It's perfectly listenable, but I don't know if I'd choose to listen to it again.

Lovely, mellow thing.

What a voice!

Ugh. Not a fun listen.

Not really my jam. I can see why people think it's exceptional, though.

Lots of respect. Not really my jam.

A classic for a reason, though I prefer the live version of You Don't Know Me.

A classic of Southern Rock. Too bad about all the deaths.

A classic!

Classic.

Got some bangers on it. Very loooooooooong songs.

Some classics.

I remember buying it and listening to it a bunch, but I don't quite have the nostalgia for it that would keep it in rotation, though it does have some great songs on it.

Would I listen to it all? No, but there are a few hits in here that I put on mixtapes (playlists) all the time.

Such a classic. Want it on vinyl. Had it on cassette tape.

Classic for a reason.

Will not listen. This guy's a nazi.

So many classic songs.

Not as many "hits" as later albums of note, but still a pretty darn good listen.

I remember playing hide and seek in a darkened house with some friends while Hells Bells played (emblazoned in my brain perhaps because of the death of one of those friends a few years later). What a mood. What a great album after what seemed like the death of the band and not just its lead singer. Back in black, indeed.

It blew them up so big. Lots of great songs here.

Never heard of them, but really enjoyed the listen.

Such a classic. So full of epic Beatles moments.

Three hits. Pretty solid time in Madonna's career.

One of my favorite albums ever. One of the first purchased on vinyl when finally buying a record player a year ago.

Killer Queen and Now I'm Here are the greatest hits material, but it's just a good listen overall.

One of the best-produced albums ever, famously so.

So many hits on this. One to own on vinyl for sure.

I acknowledge the impact of this album, but I've just never enjoyed Axl's voice.

I'm rating this five stars, even though I think Hysteria should be a higher-rated album. Like, Hysteria is 10 stars. Pyromania is 9 stars. Anyway, five certifiable hits.

I can't five this quickly enough.

Won't listen to this idiot.

It seems like a powerful concept album from a master songwriter. Would I listen to it regularly? Probably not. I'm just drawn more to Bruce's hits than this material right now.

At the time, such a breakthrough. What a talent.

Bjork before Bjork. Love it.
