1001 Albums Summary

Surprisingly liked this a lot, despite it being very country

A lot of fun and I bet it sounded amazing and fresh at the time but doesn't do much for me now.

Look I listened to it. What more do you want? It's getting 2 instead of 1 because it's not actively offenseive, unless you have to listen to it all the way through like this

Deadly opening tracks, Delirious is unreal. But could have done without all the female screaming and sex noises towards the end.

A mediocre Beatles album is still a pretty good album.

Not something I would normally listen to but actually an amazingly strong opening. Kind of tales off in mediocrity for me, probably wouldn't put on the full album again though I enjoyed it more than I thought.

Assume it made the list because it's proto-punk but otherwise feels mediocre

When it's good, it's amazing. When it's bad, it's utter dregs. Sadly the bad outweights the good here.

I don't know if I should like this as much as I do, it should be boring but the harmonies are completely lush

An unashamed disco banger

I liked this more than I thought I would, was funky in places. Though I'm not sure I would listen to it again unless I was driving or something - seems like good driving music.

Classic pop punk. Biased slightly as they are one of the best and most consistent live acts about but it slaps

There's just something about the vocals that will never make it a 5 star for me personally, but it is a delight

Not the best Nirvana album but that makes it still awesome

I enjoyed it for sure but again, how did this make the cut? Recency bias when the list was out? Hurray that it was under 30 minutes though

This is probably a 4 as an album, but my own particular enjoyment of it was a 3. However might improve on deeper listens.

A Beatles album is always a pleasure. Pity the album ends with Run for Your Life, leaves a sour taste in your mouth.

I skipped forward more songs on this album than I think any I've listened to so far. I really don't like Paul Simon's voice and nothing in any of these tracks makes up for that

Pretty good, bland in places. Shocked that the In Crowd is one of the least played songs on the album, to me its probably the funkiest

Sometimes you come across something which is absolutely not your jam but is so clearly the top of its respective game you have to enjoy on its own merits and this is that album

Probably a 3.5. I think it deserves another listen
