This is an album that defines me, along w NIN that year - those 2 albums are the core of my existence even to this day. Shout out to Trent on Past the Mission it doesn't get any better. Longtime Tori fan, this got to me b4 Little Earthquakes did, it would have been my choice for her representation too.
Very cool - ty to the submitter, I did want to hear this before I died! Will definitely listen again. Played the last half w my 15yo in the car...who did not enjoy aa much as I, and did not know who Edgar Allen Poe was...wtf kid!
Loved it, good vibes makes me want to wear leg warmers
Sehr gut
Some highs & lows on this album for me! Good vibes, crunchy grooves, but too much jazzy jazz (the genre not Jeff)

Love this album, very influential in my youth. Good dark times. RIP Peter

My little 8 year old self loved this album so much! I'll admit I still seek it out from time to time! Aside from the nostalgia, it's super 80s & impressive she was so young when writing it. Good album pick, it belongs here!
Excellent pick Danny Elfman certainly should be here! No One Lives Forever is the best, it makes me feel like it's a cool Halloween night, maybe it rained a bit earlier so the leaves are wet, it smells so earthy & you're full of anxious yet positive energy for the fun, frightening, magical events sure to come
Loved it & I want the limited edition vinyl mentioned in a review which includes "a locked groove at the end of the album, so that it drones on softly into ∞" Yes!
I love this album & would have considered it being my add! Valerie has such a unique voice
Interesting back story & cool music, good suggestion
Yep - still not into jazz. I'm sure there's something great about this album but it's still not for me
Fun & I certainly relate to that tooth song haha
Good stuff! It sounds like so many things yet like nothing I've ever heard at the same time. Great suggestion, loved it
Sehr gut

Enjoyed the music didn't overly love the processed singing *shrug* Getting made you want more & hoping made you hurt more is a powerful lyric bc isnt that the fuckin truth... also especially liked dullscythe
Definitely belongs here, good times
Freakin hippies! This had some highs & lows for me...Surely would have had more highs if I was more high whilst listening buh dum tss
That's some good 90s right there! Lyrics for a lot of these songs came back.. yet I can't remember how old I am half the time.
dreamy ethereal
I enjoyed this album! I'm starting my work day listening again & all the screaming, misery & angst on Marathon is encapsulating how black my job makes me feel inside. Hate this place but love the album
Keep an eye on those hippies tho
I totally get it, listened twice. Made me want to do 80s stuff, like cocaine!
Enjoyable, I'd listen again if you wanted to.

The B-52's are fucking weird. It took me 30 years to like weird shit like this & now im here for it all day
I'm into it
Pretty fun - Wikipedia says they're well known for a live show & I bet! Especially liked Hell
It's fine but not overly noteworthy. I'm not big into r&b so maybe I just don't recognize what makes it great. As of the time I'm writing this, the submitter of the album has rated 30 albums in total. I know my musical tastes evolved bc of the list - if they make it thru I wonder if this still would have been their 1st choice submission? If you make it submitter (7 days since last album generated) do tell!
First time listening to a full Tame Impala album, also did not realize its a dude not a band, I'm into it. I listened to it 3x w increasing levels of attention to decide if it gets a 4th star. Not today but it might be a grower!
Good 90s tunes - I was a lil bit country when this came out so its comforting & fun to listen to!
Checks all of the punk boxes
I feel like Cake has always been underrated, they do belong on the list!
It's catchy for sure
This album was getting a lot of radio airplay in a transitional period of my teen years & I just wasn't that into Tool when it 1st blew up. I remember I would always say ugh turn it, Tool makes me smell bad. Which wtf does that even mean but it made us laugh. Then I got heavy into illegal substances (the aforementioned transition) & listened to the album hundreds of times never went back. Now I'm insufferable & can't tell you the best Tool album bc they are all a 5 in their own way. For this one it's bc wtf - what else has or ever will sound like this? It's still fucking raw & gritty like Opiate but in a more refined, melodic way. 10 / 10 stars, still listen to this regularly 25 or whatever (how am I this old & i cant do math) years later.
3.5 stars
4.5 stars Primus sucks
Pretty weird
5 stars on a moody, gloomy, and or doomy day!
Had some highlights but overall I felt like I typically do w these long ass jams - ready for it to end. A couple days ago I had a nightmare that hippies came to my property & wouldn't leave. They just kept coming, my house started to reek of patchouli, they were hanging weird hippie shit everywhere - it was terrifying.
Monkey killing monkey killing monkey over pieces of the ground Silly monkeys, give them thumbs, they make a club and beat their brother down How they've survived so misguided is a mystery Repugnant is a creature who would squander the ability to lift an eye to heaven, conscious of his fleeting time here
Listened to this a few times & enjoyed it. Weather especially moved me. I was motivated to listen during some stormy summer weather & I def recommend that vibe
Sounds like playing Nintendo & I love Nintendo so this is a good time.
Some of these songs are very catchy, I totally get it
Long live Krautrock! I actually loved it
They're very talented so I can't in good conscious give it less than a 3, but fuck I did not need to hear this yo
