Not gonna lie a part of me didn’t want an Adele album in my 5 star albums, but this album’s just too good. I never really gave her a chance - I told myself I would be lame if I liked it. But I was really lame for not liking it. Why am I like this, haha. Listening intimately with some good earphones makes this album so impactful. The production is masterful, and her vocals are just so peak. Yeah, great album.

All the songs sounded the same. At least it was a little relaxing.

Must have listened to this at the right time in my life cause I loved it. Just wish the songs were a tad longer. Like, I’ll be headbanging away and the song will abruptly end. Happened a few too many times to piss me off. Actually you know what, it added to the rage. 5 stars.

Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand

Glad I listened to it rather than just listening to take me out over and over. There’s some other really good songs here. Last half kinda lost me a bit but overall it was a very fun listen.

Didn’t think I would like this one as much as I would, after the first listen. It was in the background, and although I found its beats relaxing, I didn’t feel very moved. Second listen I paid attention to the lyrics, everything resonated with me. It’s quite introspective and deep, without being too complex. The verses aren’t long and the choruses are usually just a few sentences spoken over and over. But they’re all catchy. The beats are tight and get my head bobbing. I feel like this album would be best experienced on cocaine.

Black Monk Time by The Monks

Full album not on Spotify. What I heard was dope

Wanted to give it a 4 or a perfect but it honestly got kinda repetitive. Obviously goated voice though

Tommy by The Who
May 05 2026

Dunno who Tommy is but this album was pretty good

In A Silent Way by Miles Davis
May 18 2026

Maybe it’s cause I’m watching twin peaks right now but this album fits that mood perfectly - mysterious, kind of weird, but deeply pulling and attentive. I felt very focused listening to this. May have to keep it for a study session.

Moving Pictures by Rush

Not really into this kinda music but cmon you can’t deny how awesome this is

Woodface by Crowded House

Relatable lyrics.

Back to Mystery City by Hanoi Rocks

Had a lot of fun with this one. It’s the perfect blend of corny writing and songs that go harder than they need to. Lots of epic climaxes and unexpected saxophones. The enthusiasm from this band feels completely genuine, even as it skirts the line of commercialism. Gonna save this one for workouts or those nights when I want to dance around alone and scream along to lyrics I’ll eventually learn.

Rocks by Aerosmith

It’s good. Singer is good. Instruments sound good. But I can’t tell this apart from any other dad rock I’ve heard before.

Metallica by Metallica

Most refined heavy metal album I’ve ever listened to. Simply beautiful, and instantly replayable. Point off for a couple samey sounding songs.

Darkness on the Edge of Town by Bruce Springsteen
Jun 09 2026

A very personal album. Not for cooking, for parties, or to jam out to. But it’s good, really good. Simple lyrics that are able to paint a picture of broken dreams, escaping mundane life, growing older, and all the emotions that come with it. It’s good to listen to something like this every now and again.

Brothers by The Black Keys
Jun 11 2026

Great for jamming out to and having on as background noise. Very catchy hooks and its coherent sound is unmistakably cool. I just hate to admit that it gets a little repetitive, and I experience black keys fatigue if I listen to them too much. Still an incredible album with many bangers.

Apart from the corny songs, I had fun with this one.

Moon Safari by Air

Catchy and relaxing - a rare combo. Would be 4 stars but extra star because I actually love this.

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's

This guy makes church organs sound good. For that I give it five stars.
