Hat mir gefallen, auch wenn es manchmal etwas zu jazzig oder psychedelisch war. Klingt ganz anders als die 80er Chicago.
I enjoyed listening to it once, though will probably not revisit it. I know where is my mind from fight club and I feel that's all I need to know from them. Not a bad album, in any case not boring, and given the time it came out I understand it's significance.
I liked the first track. The rest was about what I expected from Prince, funky, 80s, some high pitched singing, some songs a bit repetitive in themselves. Not my cup of tea, but overall not boring.
Well , I'm late GenX, so this is my time. I always liked the Green Day singles but never felt the need to listen to their albums. If you like Basket Case, this album is for you, it's fast, melodic and sounds like a good time.
This was a pleasant surprise. Like probably 90% of my generation I knew Son of a Preacher Man from Pulp Fiction. I liked the song, and I do like the album. It sounds very relaxed and quite diverse. If you like Son of a... give it a spin!
Better than I expected after only knowing (and disliking) Loser.
Some cool sounding riffs. Industrial has never been my cup of tea, this didn't change that. I found it exhausting.
Professionally made, boring music.
Professionally made, boring music.
Very cool rock from the 60s. Unfortunately this also means 60s production value.
I'm a metal head, this is a classic, even though I prefer something more melodic. Still worth a listen.
Punk. I have never heard of this band before. I quite like the music but their singer, though recognizable, starts to annoy me after ab while, aber that while it's within the albums short runtime of ca. 21 minutes. The music is cool.
It's diverse pop music. I liked some songs, but some bored me.
I never heard of this guy. He has a pleasant voice and knows how to use it. Good music, a bit too psychedelic for my taste sometimes. All in all nothing to special but maybe good for fans of his genre.
Never heard of these gals. Nice punk with some ska influence. Could imagine them in a Tony hawk soundtrack.
I don't listen to much electronic stuff, so this is highly subjective: This was horrible, I couldn't bring myself to finish it. To me it sounds boring an uninspired.
I always wanted to like Pearl Jam and do, but only to some degree. This was a defining album of the 90s for sure and from a musical point of view this is quite good. Still nothing stays in my head except for the hits.
Never really thought much about the Kinks, but I found this really enjoyable. I sort of wish I could experience it without being used to modern production values, because of course it has that 60s sound, but there is a lot good going on.
Not my cup of tea, I don't know enough about rap. More melodic than what I expected, appropriate level of profanity.
I missed PJ Harvey in the 90s. The cover led me to expect something completely different, so I was pleasantly surprised.
I liked it but it sounded a bit samey after a while
Kind of boring. Less folksy than I thought. Went by without me even noticing
Well, it's Led Zeppelin. Can you give bad grades? Add this is down to personal taste, of course the answer is yes. I understand their influence and musicality, it's just I never feel like listening to them.
Chuck D. has got a cool voice and everything sounds interesting. Rap isn't really my thing, though.
Good musicians and a voice you either love or hate. It's very progressive as in there are not a lot of hooks so it's an exhausting listen. Not my cup of tea.
It's good rock music, they know how to play their instruments and surprisingly enough they don't sound like sex on fire all the time. But: music like this was made 40 years ago? I can't find anything groundbreaking or new. I also don't care for their singer or the guitar sound.
This is a classic and I think Eddie Van Halen is over of the most important guitar players since Hendrix. Still I never really cared for their music, I prefer the - heretic as it is - Van Hagar era.
This was surprisingly good. I didn't care for U2 most of my life, of course I knew some singles, but they sound young and fresh on this. I liked it.
I only knew the usual singles from The Doors, most of which I find kind of boring and repetetive. This album is more musically diverse and interesting than I was expecting. Gave me a new look on The Doors.
Well. I always thought of the Foo Fighters as generic rock music. Not bad, but nothing special either. This didn't change with this album, but to be fair, it sounds more fresh than what I imagined.
Nice interesting punk, new wave-ish music.
Exhausting LSD (presumably) fueled Pogrock. Not for me.
An 80s pop album full of hits. I always liked Cyndi Laupers colorful, independent message. Solid.
I didn't like it one bit. It sounds mainly like noise, with occasional melody bits. May have have been something new in 91 but new is not automatically good.
Well , it's Britpop, so you get what you paid for. I found it to be a bit boring.
I'm sorry but rap all sounds the same to me
Interesting, seems intellectual, maybe too much so for me. I think I hear some punk influence which I like. Singers voice is an acquired taste, I guess.
Synthpop I didn't really care about. It's not bad, though. Interesting to say the least.
In lack of better understanding of this kind of music I would describe it as African choir music. I like it but not for the length of a whole album.
90s Rap, may have been a step forward to have a successful woman in a male dominated field, but that's doesn't make me like the music.
I'm not a rap guy, so it's hard for me to evaluate. More diverse than other stuff I've heard.
CCR seems to be a bit like Bad Religion (the band): most of their stuff sounds alike, and if you like it, you're good. I do.
I'm not a jazz expert but this was smooth and sounded interesting.
Not my cup of tea. Pop music, sounds fun at times but overall to repetitive die my tastes.
Not a big fan of his singing voice. It's all good musically, but an acquired taste I guess. Joe Cocker's version of You can leave your hat on is so much better.
Yeah, early punk! Not a fan of the poems but the music is cool.
It was alright. Robert Smith's voice is an acquired taste. Not mine.
Never heard of this guy before. A smooth, jazzy, funky rock-pop sound. Not a particular fan of the singers voice.
It's Led Zeppelin so what can you say. Not a big fan of Plants' voice but the music is good and you can't deny their influence...
Iron Maiden's debut drips of raw energy, dual guitar work and Harris' phenomenal bass playing. A metal classic.
Nice punky pop stuff with a 60s vibe. Also the album is massive, 40 songs?!?
Electronic music. Not my cup of tea. Boring, repetitive.
70s disco funk. I dont like Le Freak, and most of hergestellt the music here is similar, but there is some good musicianship to be found here.
Too exhausting for me. Experimenten and noisy.
Nice work musically, Dylan's Voice can be hard to stomach.
Darker than expected. But it's Abba alright.
A pop - rock album by Tina Turner. As expected, not bad, nothi spectacular either.
Very good, I likes it a lot.
Very good, I like it a lot.
Very good, I like it a lot.
Funk Rock Ska Metal, very good
It's some kind of disco funk with comparatively high pitched singing. Good musically but not my cup of tea
Eletronic, partly trip-hop. I like the voice of the singer, though this music is not really to my taste
One of my favorite albums. 70s prog rock at its best.
Not too bad. Morriseys voice is not quite my thing, but there's a lot happening in the music.
Funk. Not bad, nothing special to me, but I'm no expert.
Meh. OK, Indie Rock style.
Punk! I like it, has everything a good punk record needs.
Blues, played skillfully and with a lot of energy. I like it!
Not for me, though it's not really bad. Just bores me.
It's just like the other Morrissey Album in this 1001 list. Ok pop-punk, nit too bad but a bit annoying.
