Veel desonancie, gekke klanken en express contradictie. Wel intresant om te hebben geluisterd
Classic, but only really remembered one good number, should be a 3.5 for me
Not my thing. Didnt resonate with me at all. But objecrifly good music
Listended to the first half, really liking it thus far. Something about the somewhat plain tones mixed with a slight upbeat tonality and hints of the start of electronic sounds creates an intresting and totaly non offensive sound.
Might be too plain for some but even if so an amazing pallete cleanser in my mind. Mix of western and non western influences, of old and new. Its a very intresting album with diversity in its songs. Chilled out but still energetic in a way. It has something going for it that i find hard to put to words but i like what it provides.
This album is really conflicting to me. Do i like the sounds? Yes, does it grab me? No, do i want to listen to more? Yes, will i listen to it again? No, do i think its an amazing album? No, am i happy to have listened to it? Yes, would i recommend it to someone? No, is it an good artistic expresion with vision? Yes. Its really conflicting to me. I absolutly dont hate it and think its by far not the worse album i have listed to in this experiment but its also not the best by a long shot. Its an intresting flavour of spicy mid that i find hard to explain even to myself. Maby due to the fact that the artist is a pioneer in the genre that it gives me sutch trouble. The notes of modernism and abstraction i get from this album leave me uneasy and unforfilled and yet content. Its an experience to say the least
Definetly an album that i think stands strong in its time. Its intresting to see a song about veganism made so early in its lifetime. I wouldnt say its an album i love but i think it was a pleasant listen and for indie rock fans that can appriciate the era i wouldnt mind recommening it so them. I did feel like some of the issues flew over my head due to it seeming to have refrences and critisms of back then that i dont understand however i think that also gives it its sharm. Overall not bad not amazing. Above average, would give it a 3.5
How do you make 5 songs and make an hour long album? And its soo good. The last song was too repeptitive for me but im so suprised by this album. Shook even. The rythms the pace the fact it can keep a 13 min song intresting and fresh. This is the kind of albums that makes me want to explore so many others. Finding gems like this can make a day. I want to give it a 4.75 but not sure how to rate it.
A pop album i expect kees to listen to. A mix of the start of the pop girl era mixed with heavy rock influence. I overall enjoy it a lot. For sure an above average album for me. The intresting sounds of the transision of rock and modern pop created a unique sound that has replayablility while standing on its own. Overall 3.5
Overall an okay album to me, this might be contravershal but it didnt really grab me. The rythms seemed not intresting to me and the lyrics of some songs really put me off. The sound of having jesus being preached to me isnt the most exciting prospect to me. I do think its good music and overall i think it objectivly quality yet i cant shake the fact i feel like normal suburban parents in phenix neigbhourhoods listen to this and think its the spiciest hottest thing out there.
Intresting album with a lot of diversity, a vocalist with a unique voice and a supervillian looking band member. Not all song where amazingly intresting but overall an album i enjoyed listening to a lot. Not sure exacly where to rate it but its seems to me this album is either copying a lot from influencial artists or is the source of it because for some reason i can hear its inspirations in other places. First kind of glamrock album i actualy like. Id say i would rate it a 3.5
Classic album with quite some intresting sounds going for it. The more popular numbers where the more intresting ones for me. Im starting to realize that this is because so mutch of the band music from around 1960 to 1990 involves the standard formula of gituar, bass drums and vocals that i tend to pick the best of all them. I liked that they incorperated a more dynamic soundscape instead of constantly the same. Dont have a lot more to say about it. Intresting, definatly not bad. 3.25
It isnt a bad album, but it doesnt do anything for me that other albums dont do better. Superfisually seems like typical vocal album from a popstar whom has written this album within the spirit of its time. But for me it doesnt translate well to now. Abbey road like in thats just very Okay. Christmas music was not what i wanted to explore. At some point became kind of moany to me.
Great somescape and a sound that i liked to hear but a difficult album to review. It was a bit too long in my opinion and the first half was better than the second. I loved the mix of modern and classical tones and vibes. Never heard of to band eather which was a nice breath of fresh air.
Overall a spacy mix of viby music and a strong soundscape mixed with a good layout of songs and a non stale progression throughout the album. Overall a good album, not something i would pick up again but im definally not mad to have experienced it. I tend to dislike hour or longer albums because i find most artist dont have the range to hold my attention for long enhough during the album but this one was okay at that.
Overall okay album that misses the mark for me. It tries to be deep obscure and funerable but comes across as phony to me. It isnt a bad album however and does have okay songs. In my opinion could have embrased a more vibriant progression throughtout the album.
I wanted to like this album so much more than i did. Dont get me wrong its a great album and one that will be getting a solid 7/10 for me, but it seemed to initially have everything i was looking for. Intressting soundscape. Lots of diversity between songs. An intresting voice with a unique rythm and lyrical style. It was so close to being a 5 star for me. Still an amazing album and a great listen. Although i can appriciate more electronic sounds as well this band really captures what i want in sounding diffrent. Yes it uses the standard setup of gituar drum and a singer but it doesnt sound like a standard setup at all and thats what i like.
Kinda just background music, not bad but really non standoutish to me. Dont get me wrong its objectivly good music and im not mad to have listened to it. But this album has more than any so far encouraged me to do something else while listening to it. I even listened to watermelon man while not noticing. Its not bad but even while writing the review it didnt stick and i forgot 2 out of the 4 songs and watermelon man that i relistened to and remember is also by far the shortest. Definatly it for quite some people and i understand why but not for me.
It was just a big boring. Nothing stood out and sounded kind of the same. Dont really have mutch else tosay about the album. Feels like a filler album which is strange.
Great vocalist. Enjoyed the album a lot. Indeed white wine mom music but not a sloutch and some good diversity throughtout the album. Felt like a shakeup from the previous albums as well
Short but powerfull in a strange way. It wasnt really for me but daring to say the least. Felt a little like they cut the second half of every song and made that an album. Wasnt my taste but i can respect what they tried to do.
Overall liked it. Sounded fresh and nice. Had little time to review it thought due to time contraints and after listening to the first 3/4th of it it didnt fill me with more desire to listen to the rest in my spare time. However did like the overall sound. 3/5for me but close 4
Great voice, honestly a rare sight that i can listen to an hour of singing and like it. Overall great album and loved the ambience. It has taken me by sutch suprise that i think im going to give it ny first 5
Its a cult classic. Honstely probably one of the albums i would listen to the most out of all his work. Dont have too mutch to say because he is micheal. We all know him. A great experience to have listened to this once in my life. Dont listen to micheal jackson on my own mutch but i can see why he is seen as one of the greats of music
Great album, good funk. Not too short not too long( if you count the origimal songs and not the live performances), enjoyed it a lot. A true visionary and one that i think has set the tone for what 2000's music would become. Very tempted to give a 5 star. Overall a good 8/10 for me.
Okay, this album is aggresivly mid. There like one good song and its the first one. Makes you hyped and then just a kinda wet towl that isnt horrificly bad, but just kinda meh. Its so nothing. Weird listen that the album got weaker and weaker as it went on.
Good album, liked it. Cant really find why though. It was good quality in my opinion but i cant find what the "it" factor is with oasis. Its good music, but nothing stands out to me as thats why i like it. Clasics like wonderwall always hit in a way but still. Overall liked the album
Great album, subtle mix between jazz like music mixed with whats now pop and a great vocalist. Overall a joy to have listened to even thought it isnt my cup of tea per se. Felt slow and methotical but not too slow to be boring
