I realised I’ve always had Sly and KC mixed up. Such a good vibe, and not what I was expecting so pleasantly surprised.
Their OG “everyday people” is superior to arrested development cover.
Would listen again
I thought I wouldn’t be a fan of a ZZ Top album. Was not disappointed.
Strong start, then fades off for me in the middle with a few bumps at the end.
Hadn’t even noticed when it stopped and the algorithm started playing other generic white blues rock on Apple Music.
Nice, easy listening.
If Simon and Garfunkel had a third it’d be hard to distinguish between.
Look forward to more variations of the line up
This was a great little listen, very serene.
Sultry and beautiful. This man’s words will never cease to move and amaze
My first pantera album I bought when I was 13. No one else had it, I couldn’t stop listening
Banger, but not their best
Great energy, great rhythm. Need to dive into the meaning.
If you told me this was a compilation or best of, I’d have believed you. Felt like 3 seperate albums inter woven, yet not an exactly cohesive.
Good vibe, keeps you on your toes.
Great background album round the house, so songs that never fail to be relevant even 40 years later
Goes a lot of places. Some classics on there, realise I was aware of his songs but not Harry Nilsson.
Was fun, enjoyed the ride
Fuck yeah. Love this album
Ahhh, Frank Zappa it all makes sense now.
What a trip. Odd start but all together a cool little journey.
Love albums are a bit hit and miss, but James brown is always a banger
Buckle up for outer space kiddo.
Better than I though, but live albums are tricky
Man, the days of rock operas. Bring them back.
It’s the Beatles, need i say more
Good? Yes
Greatest? Questionable
This is what I grew up with and even I would skip over most of the tracks. Fine for background vibes, but couldn’t critically listen to a whole Album
Good, some nice tracks but not the same cohesion as other albums
Consistently awesome album.
There are some sounds in there that are beyond their time.
There are ideas in there from their time
Not my vibe, but could be dealers choice.
Like Leonard cohen and midnight oil had a collab
Look, that was probably better than I thought
Such a strange journey of false memories and nostalgia
This was one of my favourite albums as a young kid.
Opened me up to a whole new genre
At least it didn’t make me want to slit my wrists
Decent 80s punk, not ground breaking or unique, but enjoyed it.
Weird, not terrible, very descriptive story telling.
Worth a listen
It’s on here for a reason.
Good listening, folk rock
I mean, besides tainted love it’s pretty chaotic nonsense. Fun, but nonsense.
Classic defining rock album
Oh man, that was intense. They do not make em like that anymore
This will change your life.
There’s a reason this album is on here, she is an absolutely amazing artist.
What can I say, it’s prince, it’s good
This album will change your life
Oh man, 90s hybrid rnb/hip hop.
Even they admit they aren’t clear what they are, but it’s fun and a vibe
It definitely set the scene for great things.
Rooooooots, bloody roots!
This was part of the staple for heavy metal in the 90s, and for good reason.
Listen to it loud, and let it wxplode into your head.
Solid one from the Rolling Stones,
I always struggled with Kendrick, is he genius or overrated.
You should decide. But this album is an absolute line in the sand.
You should listen to it, headphones on and just sit and let it take you on the journey and experience.
There’s better albums to dedicate your time too. They sound too similar to so many other artists that do it better.
The title track, Groovin’, is a banger, but that’s about it
Will be honest, I’ve not given Brian eno as much attention as he deserves.
This was a great opportunity to actually listen to his music, and you won’t be disappointed. Track two is an absolute earworm.
Without a doubt, worth a good listen. This album is awesome, I remember listening to it on repeat riding through cockburn when it came out. Jack white loves music, and he’s damn good at it.
Concept albums and rock operas have always drawn me in.
This is no exception, The Who take you on a wild ride through the life of Tommy and pinball wizardry.
Just be careful, the film version can be a bit freaky, We’ll watch it together one day, I hope.
Never had an album been so aptly named for an artist, Lady Soul. Aretha Franklin is amazing, powerful and moving and this album is worth the first 30 minutes, and every subsequent repeat listen. Put it on and let it move you, inside and out.
The great thing about Music is it can transcend language. A song, or an album, can be enjoyed without understanding the lyrics, but by getting lost in the rhythms and melodies and the moods the music creates.
Khaled manages to capture your attention and take you on a journey, without knowing where you’ve been, or where you’re going. Chuck it on in the background and see where it takes you.
Oh man, this is proof that less is more. The drum and guitar set the pace for a high octane journey while Lemmy’s lyrics are gruff and direct.
If you’re ever throwing yourself down a hill on a mountain bike or ripping fast lines on a skateboard, this should be your weapon of choice.
Smooth aesthetic, beautiful sound. Great in the background or on a drive, could deep dive more but it was a good listen.
The pixies were proof you didn’t need high tech to be high impact. An album just needs a good idea, some talented musicians and someone to hit record.
There is so much influence in this album that is felt through indie rock, so much harmony between Frank black and Kim Deal’s vocals. This is a trip, and holds an anthem for the obscure society. Bang it on
This an amazing piece of work. Euphoric, rhythmic and simplicity an audible pillow to rest on, or a companion to travel with.
If you can find it, look for the cross over project with Biggie Smalls, it proves the versatility of this album and the talent of the XX.
Was okay, had some entertaining tracks. Worth a gander
Beautiful and soulful while you’re in it, somewhat unremarkable when you’re not.
Story telling is becoming a lost art in music, but this album is a collection of folk narratives that draw you in and take you on a journey. But, as your mother says, while the soul is strong, the ear worms are not.
The euphoric trance journey the underworld takes you on is always great from start to finish.
Ronda wide open space, put on some over ear headphones, close your eyes for an hour and let it take you on a transcendent rave.
Look, the Cure are great artists and as a band are iconic, influential and inspirational.
Is this the greatest evidence of this, probably not, would I suggest you start at one of their other albums, probably.
Should you model your look off Robert Smith, well that’s just up to you.
Oh man, this album is amazing. David Gray will draw you in and you can’t help but fall head first into it.
Put it on when you’re walking, riding or just commuting, it will travel well where ever you’re heading.
J5 are just fucken amazing.
There vibe, there rhymes, there energy.
Perfect combination, and definitely one to listen to, on repeat….a lot.
666, the number of the beast. This is another throw yourself into the action album.
Iron maiden are gods, Eddie is their minion and they serve metal, for all.
