A pretty solid album, I see why it has so many listens. I never realized I haven't listened to the whole Stairway to Heaven song, just the intro. When the Levee Breaks is pretty good, so is the first song. Album's definitely more, medieval? than I thought. 6.9/10 for me.
This was a solid album. I liked the guitar parts in the first few songs plus I'm So Free. Vicious was prob my favorite. This albums kinda like what I would imagine the average 20 year old White dude would listen to in the 70s. Walk on the Wild Side is pretty cool too, kind of unexpected. And Goodnight Ladies is a nice ending. Overall, maybe a 6.5/10
Very dreamlike and atmospheric. I've never listened to The Cure before other than Boys Dont Cry, so I wasnt expecting this but it was a nice surprise.Fascination Street and Prayer for Rain or wtv its called were my standouts. Pretty enjoyable album but what tf is Lullaby talking abt lol. 7.4/10
Sounds very folksy and I liked when all the instruments came together like one big happy family at the end of some songs. I never really listened to Simon and Garfunkel but this is how I imagined they would sound and its pretty good. 6.9/10
very solid. I like the guitar parts and his British voice. first four songs were prob my faves. 7.3/10
I didnt know what to expect from the Beach Boys but I was surprised by the content in this album. Very progressive song lyrics and the guitar and the vocals are nice. I think I liek Student Demonstration Time and A Day in the Life of a Tree the best. Some tracks are very energetic while some are more slow and ethereal. 7.2/10 Also, just realized I've been messing up by out of 10 ratings with the five star system lol.
Pretty cool album, I like the drums and the guitar parts in some of the song. Weep Themselves To Sleep is prob my favorite. I've only heard the name Jack White like once and I've never heard his music so this was pretty cool. 6.8/10
I've only listened to Green Day from this album and its kind of what I expected. Pretty solid. 6.5/10
I was sick when listening to this album and the singer sounded a lot like me. Very idk raw? sometimes it was like he just started talking over the music but I thought that was pretty cool. 6.1/10
I love Daft Punk, so this was a nice treat. I can definitely tell this was one of their earlier works, it sounds kind of unpolished and raw but I liked it nonetheless. Some standouts were Oh Yeah and Alive. I listened to the 25th anniversary version and I didn't notice until like halfway but I still listened and I enjoyed a lot of the remixes. Daft Punk was one of the first artists I actually started listening to but never really exploring deep, so I really enjoyed actually listening to another of their albums in full. 8.1/10
woah. I didn't expect to like this album so much, but I really did. ive only really heard Crawling and In the End from Linkin Park, but the rest of the album is very solid, from the range of vocals, the punchy guitars and whatevers happening with the drums. Papercut, Points of Authority, By Myself, and A Place for My Head were songs I really enjoyed, plus Cure for the Itch which was unexpected but still matched the rest of the album. Maybe I'll listen to more nu-metal now. Definitely deserves its popularity. 9/10
Genius! Misogynist!
I've really only heard Deceptacon before, and its a good start to the album. I found a lot of the album fun with a range of energy. Really liked The The Empty. Overall, maybe 6.2/10.
Messiah! Alcoholic!
Fun to walk to, but nothing really stood out to me. 4.9/10
Nothing really stuck out to me as well, but very unique and dreamy sonically speaking. 5/10
Never really got into Radiohead even though they seem right up my alley. The album definitely deserves its popularity, its really solid. The run of the last five tracks were my fave songs. 7.6/10
I really like the way she sings, very energetic and adds so much character. I Wrote A Letter and Hot For You Baby were the ones that stood out to me, but mostly because of the guitar parts which I liked. Definitely an 80s sounding album, but not the kind of music I'd seek out really. 5.9/10
Never really listened to noise rock before, very interesting. Assassins and Duel in the Deep were probably my favorite. I also like when that indescribable voice comes along. 5.5/10
Very dreamlike. Clowns was probably my favorite, it felt like I was being pulled into a dream. Other than that, the album was just alright though from what I remember. 5.8/10
Pretty alright, I like his unique voice, and songs feel full of life. No Action and Lipstick Vogue were my faves. Definitely sounds like a 70s album. 6.1/10
Pretty mellow, to me this album tastes like those caramel hard candies. Superstition definitely deserves its popularity and Lookin' For Another A Pure Love and I Believe were my stand outs. I think I might liek Stevie's Songs In The Key Of Life album a bit more. 6.6/10
Alright, I like the parts where they reverse the instruments, and they voices are angelic, but not a lot stood out to me really. My Back Pages and Why are my faves. Also the alt versions of Mind Gardens and My Back Pages too. 5.3/10
Second Elvis Costello album. Sounds more refined. Overall, I like the vibe of the ehole album, I feel like Im walking in a quiet city. Man Out Of Time is my favorite. 6/10
Pretty alright, more chill than I was expecting. Fascination was my favorite and the rest of the album is pretty solid. Across The Universe is actually one of my favorite songs, so it was nice to see Bowie's cover. 5.7/10
Album was, neat. I can dig the electronicness of the songs. Juxtapozed With U was my fave, I can see why it was the most popular. 5.7/10
Alright album, sounds like gow I expected Paint It Black was a fun intro, I liked that song for a while now. However, not much else stuck out to me. 4.7/10
Very interesting. The melodies repeted a lot, but it felt seldom repetitive. My favorite's probably Autobanh. Pretty good but not something I'd listen to again. 5.1/10
Never listened to ska before. I really rock with the messaging. Nite Club and Too Much Too Young were my favorites. A very interesting album. 5.8/10
I really loved this album. The mix between drum and bass (a genre I really like) and the cultural instruments and vocals and the whole atmosphere was great. The only thing Im wondering is how I haven't heard of Talvin Singh sooner. Butterfly, OK, and the end of Decca had my favorite moments. Would def listen to again. 9.4/10
Alright. Didn't really know what to expect from the Bee Gees, but I kidna like the classical parts. Seven Seas Symphony, With All Nations, and The British Opera were my top picks. 5.2/10
Love the guitar parts. It's like a mix between mellow and vibrant and energized to me, very interesting. People, Like Fire, and Tall In The Saddle were some of my favorites. 6.0/10
Pretty cool. I feel like with how famous this album its a shock that I've only listened to like 3 songs from this album when its right up my alley. Breed and Endless, Nameless or wtv its called were my standouts, and I mean, Smells Like Teen Spirit is that popular for a reason. 7.9/10
Very nice. This album feels like a question makr, but in a cool way (great description right). I love the guitar parts. Mr. Jones, It Goes On, and All of This and Nothing were my standouts. I'd maybe listen to it again. 6.9/10
A very eccentric album. The Beatles definitely defines their unique style here. When I'm Sixty Four and Lovely Rita were pretty good, and Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds was probably my favorite (and one of the only Beatles songs I can recognize). 5.8/10. Good, but I probably wouldn't sit down and listen to these songs again.
I liked the guitar parts, but I found the album repetetive at times. The live songs at the end of the album were my favorites. I most likely won't listen to a song from this album again. It's solid but not for me. 4.5/10
This album was alright, something I'd expect from an Elvis album. Blue Suede Shoes and One-Sided Love Affair were my favorites. Overall, a 5.2/10. Not my favorite certainly but its a solid part of his discography.
Pretty good. I like their version of Enjoy Yourself and the song about James Bond was fun. I like the band's and ska in general's upbeat nature. 5.6/10
Very calm and chill. No standouts in particular. 5.2/10
Very upbeat and vibrant. Meanest Woman was my favorite, I like his energy, but all of his songs are energetic, and I also liked when he talked to the crowd. 6.3/10
Very good, very 80s. Shout and Head Over Heels were my favorites, and Everybody Wants To Rule The World is a classic. 6.6/10
So at first I had some trouble accessing this album as theres no album called Vento De Maio by Elis Regina, but there is an album called The Essential which has all the songs listed in Vento De Maio, so I just listened to that. It was very good. I've been listening to a lot more Brazilian music recently, and this was a nice coincidence. There's a range of energies she has (although I couldn't understand most of it). Tiro Ao Álvaro and Vento De Maio were my standouts. 6.7/10
Pretty good, the Beatles is always nice to listen to. Many popular Beatles classics on here, and I liked listening to those. My favorite was Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da. Most of the songs were good, but Revolution 9 caught me by surprise. The album had 30 songs too but it didnt feel too long. 7.5/10
Unexpected, but a nice surprise. Every different performer brings their own energy, and the storytelling is great. Billy's Bones and The Gentleman Soldier were my favorites. Good but not something I'd seek out again. 5.7/10.
The album was cool, very mellow. I enjoyed when one of them started singing in another language, Shona I think. Mud In Your Eye was my favorite. Overall, 6.3/10
Holy balls this album is so good. At first I was caught off guard with the fact this album was 2 hours long, but I enjoyed every bit of it. The transition from the rebellious loud tracks at the beginning to the dream-like melancholy (lol) songs at the end was beautiful. My favorites were probably Here Is Why and An Ode To No One, but all the songs were solid. 1979 is a hit for a reason and Farewell and Goodnight was a beautiful ending. 9/10.
Very funky and vibrant. Luv N' Haight was my favorite. I'm thinking a 5.3/10, good but not a lot stood out to me.
I really enjoyed this album! Industrial metal is not something I would've imagined myself enjoying as much as this album. The tracks are fast and punchy, but still feel cohesive and doesn't get lost in itself. The skits are funny too. Hero was my favorite but a lot was well made. 8.6/10
A very fun album and full of life. Jumping Jack Flash was my favorite but all our solid. I think Shankar definitely achieves his dream of combining Western and Indian music with this album. 7.2/10
Pretty good album. Just What I Needed was my favorite, but other than that, not much I remember. Like the credits of some 80s movie. 5.5/10
