Cheesy psychedelic lyrics that sound like they were made up on the spot. Meandering tunes. I like Pink Floyd but this is the worst album in my opinion.

From 90s Cult Star to being rediscovered in the 2020s as the new singer-songwriter inspiration of choice. I love it.

I appreciate the significance of this album, but for me, it's not the greatest Bob Marley album. There are several others not in the list that would be my preference.

An inspirational album for me blending electronic beats and acoustic guitar. David Gray is of course an awesome songwriter and he was at his peak on this one.

Walk is worth the price of admission

Smooth and funky.

Beth Orton is awesome. What a voice. What songs. But this album is worth buying just for the Ben Harper guitar solo alone. I can see everyone's faces melting in the recording studio when that slide guitar starts playing.

Straight Outta Compton alone, warrants 5 fives. What a classic Dr Dre production.

English Pastoral Prague. Great having the two singers providing different colours.

Apparently the band were completely beaten up in the recording studio with take after take. But this is a beautifully sounding disco album ahead of its time.

Living Colour was so revolutionary at the time. Totally just blew everyone else out of the water. A shame they didn't manage to keep riding the wave of popularity.

Dated but Supervibe! Under-rated guitarist and singer.

Aside from Maggie May this album is just OK. Some rocky blues numbers, but I think Rod hit his stride and niche with the Jazz stuff he does now.

Red Alert and Rendez-Vu are some tracks but the rest of the album is kinda filler in my opinion

Groovy, although it's the sixties and a lot of the sound of that era is a little bit lost on me in 2026. Interesting because when I was 26 I was totally into it. How times change.

Fantastical

Some good tracks. Some that even sound like early Flying Nun Records (New Zealand).

A backlog of tracks ignored by John and Paul, a friendship with Bob Dylan and produced by (awful person but brilliant producer) Phil Spector. Lush, melodic and visionary.

Underrated in the genre and a massive inspiration for all singer-songwriters.

I enjoyed Country Joe and the Fish in the Woodstock video, but that's about as far as these guys will take me, I think.

Leonard

As eclectic as a Beatles album and that's probably what makes this beautifully recorded and played album such a classic.

How did Johnny Rotten go from the sex pistols to Public Image? The mind boggles. Oh, that's right. They didn't have Malcolm McLaren anymore.

I didn't hate this as much as I thought I would.

So let's go. Bob brings it all back home for sure. Incredible songwriting and great live band playing.

Good album for blues guitarists. I'm not sure actual blues fans would listen to this, and is no little pop appeal these days.

Bought this CD on the day it came out. Classic.

Groundbreaking at the time but the Beach Boys are known for creativity and there's not a lot here.

Annoying sounding and over-rated

Awesome early electronica, possibly a little bit boring towards the end of the album, as Kraftwerk have a particularly limited palette, which is a good thing and a bad thing.

It's Sufian Stevens Illinois, an album I absolutely thrashed when it came out. Love it.

The Beatles completely abandon love songs in favour of durpy songs about everyday events as seen through an LSD coated lens. The psychedelic template that everyone copied. Quirky, eclectic, creative and definitely pushing the boundaries of the recording studio to the max.

Grace Slicks rules this album. Unfortunately, most of the other tracks, barring the instrumentals, are a bit lame to modern ears. 2 stars + 1 star for White Rabbit alone.

Some editing of tracks would have made this album better. Great production.

Always struggle with this album. Twice I've tried. It does feel like a legit precursor to Brit-pop but hmmm. I want to like it, but I've always hated Oasis so...

Electronic dance music is a genre I haven't really listened to since the early 2000s, and I've never even heard of this album. Absolutely great.

I've seen Baba live and he was such an entertainer. Unfortunately, the 80s style production let's this one down in my opinion.

Not sure why I had heard the name, but have never heard this band before. Absolutely awesome record.

Timely. I happen to be in a massive rediscovery phase of the Rolling Stones particularly, live in the 70's. Not for the songs, I know them all. But for the playing. The tightness of Charlie and Bill with the splashy sloppy deliver of Mick, Keith and Mick Taylor and Ronnie Wood. Awesome album.

Favourite Joni album. Incredible jazz influenced tunes that twist and jump with melodic athleticism. Produced by Robbie Robertson of the band, so how can you go wrong?

Blippy, grindy, Intensy

Something that you have to be in the mood for, but this is incredible.

NSFW. Kool Keith got more graphic on later releases which I like better, if you're in the mood for that sort of thing.

Late year was "No Fleetwood Mac Rumours 2025" - it's 2026. Awesome songs, playing, arrangements. However, because, all rough edges removed for the masses, -1 star.

Cool blend of Caribbean dance, schoolyard chant, rap.

I hate having to say this because I'd never listen to this album by choice, but it's super well crafted and played. Rumours is so popular on this site, this is as good. It's just... The Eagles. Sigh!

Girl wonder, Fiona Apple was a bad ass woman from the day this album came out. Super soulful beyond her years. Wouldn't you love to the the record exec that discovered her.

One of the best post 90's classic era rappers ever alongside TuPac. Shame they both met fatal ends.

For me this album is more important for Emmylou Harris than Gram Parsons. Some nice songs if you're in the mood for some pretty traditional country, which is what Gram was into at that time. Not particularly cosmic.

Thin sounding production. Perhaps as someone once told me, Adele is overrated after all?
