Definitely Maybe by Oasis
Jun 02 2026

Never liked Oasis, tried my best to give it a proper go in good faith. True to form, it opens with two of the worst songs I’ve ever heard. After listening to them both, I felt like there was just a little less colour in the world. I’ll concede, songs 5-7 have their moments and so does Slide Away, but I always feel like I’m trying my best to ignore the vocals so I can enjoy the rest which at times is pretty cool. They’ve never been for me, not the worst album I’ve ever heard but also didn’t change my mind.

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Jun 04 2026

Maybe not too many standout tunes outside of Stairway to Heaven but that’s an all timer and just a really cool sound to the whole album.

A Love Supreme by John Coltrane
Jun 05 2026

Usually don’t mind a bit of jazz but wasn’t in to this at all

War by U2
Jun 06 2026

Bono’s voice has never been for me. Some cool parts of songs here and there though.

3 Feet High and Rising by De La Soul
Jun 07 2026

Good album. Bit too many skits and banter songs to really get going for me but still really cool.

Le Tigre by Le Tigre
Jun 08 2026

Vocals not really for me but some decent music in there

The Wildest! by Louis Prima
Jun 09 2026

Much more like the sort of jazz I can listen to, enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would

Scream, Dracula, Scream by Rocket From The Crypt
Jun 10 2026

Could have been a 4 if I’d liked the vocals a little bit more but still really enjoyed the album

Dig Your Own Hole by The Chemical Brothers
Jun 11 2026

Good album, felt like I might have been a bit too sober to enjoy it to its full potential. Second last song was a belter.

Casanova by The Divine Comedy
Jun 12 2026

Bit Bowie, Bit Disney villain, Bit Eurovision ballad. All of these are compliments. Not sure why I liked it so much. I think I know it’s a bit shite but that might be why I liked it? Got better as it went. Songs of Love is a tune.

Guero by Beck
Jun 13 2026

Good album. Didn’t really do anything super exciting but it’s too solid to give it lower than 3.

Vento De Maio by Elis Regina
Jun 14 2026

Not my thing but can appreciate

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Jun 16 2026

Cracking album, these guys were just nailing every genre they felt like right from the first album, fair play

Public Image: First Issue by Public Image Ltd.
Jun 17 2026

Gets two stars because the boy from The Clash is a class guitarist. Wish Johnny Rotten would stfu so I could hear it.

Pelican West by Haircut 100
Jun 19 2026

Bit Jazz, bit pop, bit morning TV. Inoffensive but didn’t too much for me.

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Jun 20 2026

I mean it’s an absolute banger, and that’s all I’ve got to say

The Modern Dance by Pere Ubu
Jun 21 2026

Occasional cool guitar bits saved this from a 1 star. Pretty shite.

Van Halen by Van Halen
Jun 24 2026

Just fuckin shredding guitar for 35 minutes, no notes

Bug by Dinosaur Jr.
Jun 25 2026

Just really solid, enjoyed it

The Coral by The Coral
Jun 26 2026

2 stars feels harsh because it was an alright album but I wasn’t really that into any songs outside of Dreaming of You, so here we are

Dirty by Sonic Youth
Jun 28 2026

Not for me overall but definitely had moments, some very cool guitar bits mixed in there

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Jun 29 2026

Always takes adjustment listening to the early stuff without Bruce but a cracking album

Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.
Jun 30 2026

Solid all the way through, the bigger songs are absolutes tunes (Raising Hell in particular)

Future Days by Can
Jul 01 2026

Felt like I was overhearing someone watching a PlayStation game in another room. 2 stars, but if I was out my nut it could be either terrifying or beautiful or both.

Fear and Whiskey by Mekons
Jul 02 2026

Had its moments at the start at end, wasn’t that into it overall. But a bit more listenable than other stuff in this kind of genre.

The Stranger by Billy Joel
Jul 03 2026

A lovely, lovely voice. Cannae move for ballads.

Rio by Duran Duran
Jul 04 2026

Big songs are still bangers. Rest is just fine but still a decent listen.

Gasoline Alley by Rod Stewart
Jul 05 2026

These songs are all the exact same type of boring

At Budokan by Cheap Trick
Jul 06 2026

Went into this feeling very sceptical with it being a live album, but loved it. Last 4 songs are all absolute bangers.

Pearl by Janis Joplin
Jul 07 2026

Really good. Some singer. If it was an option, it would be a high 3.

The Atomic Mr Basie by Count Basie & His Orchestra
Jul 09 2026

A lot of the same, didn’t really grab me at all

En-Tact by The Shamen
Jul 10 2026

It was decent but nothing special about it for me

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jul 11 2026

Nice, easy listening without any massive tunes

Maverick A Strike by Finley Quaye
Jul 12 2026

Not really my thing, didn’t find it very interesting. Love gets sweeter was decent but listening to it one day after Bob Marley probably hurt it too

The Rise & Fall by Madness
Jul 13 2026

Good fun as expected, was never going to blow me away but enjoyed it

Definitely had some good moments, surprise Thom Yorke feature was fun, ‘We Float’ near the end was a bit of a banger. Decent bit of filler though and I’ve got nae time for ‘Hidden Tracks’ that are just normal songs with 5 minutes of silence first.

Rattlesnakes by Lloyd Cole And The Commotions
Jul 15 2026

Liked it more than I thought I would, good quality easy listening

Truth And Soul by Fishbone
Jul 16 2026

Surprisingly this was good fun for the most part, thought it fizzled out a bit towards the end but enjoyed overall

Peter Gabriel 3 by Peter Gabriel
Jul 17 2026

Very solid album, no real standout tunes but a cool sound all the way through

Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jul 18 2026

Some voice, not something I could listen to all day but enjoyed it. No Woman, No Cry and Talkin’ Blues were highlights.

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Jul 20 2026

Was a much simpler time for lyricism like but still a lot of good tunes, can’t complain

Jul 21 2026

I thought about giving this a 4 because MAYBE 1 or 2 songs that are a bit filler-y and you can’t move for the misogyny and that in it. But couldn’t do it. This is a phenomenal album. Groundbreaking and I love this era of rap when it sounds a bit more stripped back. At least 8 absolute bangers on here. What a day.

The New Tango by Astor Piazzolla
Jul 22 2026

Whole show sounds like one long ringtone

Revolver by Beatles
Jul 23 2026

Weird to say, but I always forget how fun it is to listen to the Beatles. Controversially, I think they’re quite good.

The Undertones by The Undertones
Jul 24 2026

This was a pleasant surprise. 16 quick fire songs, all are at least decent fun and the good ones are really good. Not usually my favourite genre but liked this.

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
Jul 25 2026

Two big songs are obviously great but She Bop and All Through the Night in the middle of the album are absolute tunes as well. Very good wee pop album, enjoyed.

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Jul 26 2026

Good songs were really good, rest was just fine

Oar by Alexander 'Skip' Spence
Jul 27 2026
On The Beach by Neil Young
Jul 28 2026

Kept wanting to like it but weren’t really any standout songs, maybe On The Beach at a push, not for me overall

KE*A*H** (Psalm 69) by Ministry
Jul 29 2026

Big metal fan but this was just fine. A lot of generic songs, wasn’t that into the vocals. Although Scare Crow was a banger.

The Predator by Ice Cube
Jul 30 2026

Love Ice Cube, could listen to him all day

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Aug 01 2026

This album is so good, lot of range for a sabbath album as well. Love sabbath.

Unhalfbricking by Fairport Convention
Aug 02 2026

Nice surprise, nice and chill wee folk album, can’t complain

Aug 03 2026

Firmly in the category of albums that didn’t wow me at any point but are too solid to be lower than a 3 - decent listening

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Aug 04 2026

Always maintained that I could never get into arcade fire at all. Devastated to report that I really enjoyed this

Fifth Dimension by The Byrds
Aug 05 2026

Appreciated the musicianship but was never really into this one, also way too long for what it is

Under Construction by Missy Elliott
Aug 06 2026

Cracking album, top tier features, Missy Elliott is somehow still underrated

Manassas by Stephen Stills
Aug 07 2026

Blues stuff is nice listening, most of the country ish songs are alright as well. Nice peaceful album. Almost got a 2 anyway because it’s got nae business being 1 hour 12 minutes long.

Fear Of A Black Planet by Public Enemy
Aug 08 2026

Great album, not something I’d listened to much before but enjoyed it a lot. Chuck D the absolute guvner of rap.

In Utero by Nirvana
Aug 09 2026

Controversially, I think Kurt Cobain is a pretty talented singer. Loads of tunes, great album

xx by The xx
Aug 10 2026

Was better than I expected, pretty nice background music whilst working. But also not much going on, wouldn’t rush to relisten. A slightly generous 3.
