Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Jun 06 2026

Genius record. The sleeve image fails in comparison to what is in the grooves of this record

Aja by Steely Dan

War by U2
Jun 13 2026

Mullet era Bono. Have not listened to this since the 80s. Decent set of tunes. I always leaned more into The Alarm. 68 GUNS!

1st time with this record.

Surf's Up by The Beach Boys
Jun 16 2026

Advertised in ‘71 as “it’s safe to listen to the Beach Boys again”. If safe means mediocre. With new management and brother Carl in charge, the band begins to walk back from the experimental Pet Sounds into a safer “environmentally conscious and socially aware” territory. The only saving grace for this album is the three Brian penned songs on side two. My favorite “ A Day In The Life Of A Tree”

The La's by The La's
Jun 18 2026

A case where one done is so good, pure perfection, that it outshines the rest of the record

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Jun 20 2026

Electric Light Orchestra. Now with MORE Orchestra.

The Velvet Underground & Nico by The Velvet Underground

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
Jun 23 2026

Steely Dan was prescient and created the soundtrack to Miami Vice ten years before the show came to be Or Music people go hang gliding to. Or It was 33 minutes.
