Imagine my surprise when the first song comes on and I instantly recognize it. I guess that's what you get when you go to all your high school's jazz band concerts. Without a doubt Herbie Hancock has had extreme influence on jazz as we know it today and even though it's not my genre of choice I really enjoyed listening to this album
This album isn't bad but each individual song gets pretty repetitive. I like the aesthetics surrounding the album and the lyricism but the actual songs weren't my favorite.
I saved 'Get Ready for Love', 'Messiah Ward', & 'The Lyre of Orpheus' but as for the rest of the album I couldn't see myself wanting to go back to re-listen despite not thinking the songs were bad.
Anyone who doesn't like Amy Winehouse's voice is simply wrong, and we are not the same. She really has such a gorgeous, unique voice and her songs are so filled with emotion. The one weakness of this album is that all the songs start sounding pretty similar after a bit but they're all so good that it's not necessarily the worst thing.
Free Bird doubles as a secondary national anthem for a reason

This was a welcome surprise for someone who's had Gorillaz as their top artist on Spotify before, especially since I usually pick this album as my favorite one. My favorite song is easily Rock The House but honestly there's only 2-3 that I don't absolutely love. This album is such a blend of ideas and I really appreciate the looseness of this structure, it's amazing that this album got as popular as it did taking that into account but I'm super into it
Listen, I've listened to a lot of jazz in my time and I have come to realize that I like more brass-heavy exciting jazz compositions rather than meandering slow, extremely improv heavy jazz. This album is the latter and I'm not ashamed to say I don't like it.
This feels like background music at a restaurant, but I'm not at a restaurant I'm sitting and listening to this album straight through. Despite this record being technically very impressive, I just couldn't get into it.
Paint It, Black is good, the rest is sonically tolerable, the lyrics suck. I won't waste my time listening to this every again
"So yes I guess I'm asking, To back a horse that's good for glue and nothing else"
"How could I be scared in her arms?"
"In-caving concrete military light, Is merely rain against the glass, For lovers in the night"
I'M SO ILL
I think I missed the essential gay gene that requires you to be obsessed with David Bowie
The guitars on this album are so good I'm literally obsessed with them, the vocals alone knock it down to a 3 though
Don't Worry! Zuton Fever, while contagious, is easily curable! With three hits of Uranium you should be good to go in no time!
The glazing for this album is crazy
I feel like my listening experience to this was like most people's experiences listening to jazz
I am not a man-machine, nor do I have any desire to be
The first half was better
I'm not the biggest fan of live albums, but this was just so fun to listen to
Finding out the whole album sounds like Femme Fatale was kind of a bummer
why does everyone hate the pet shop boys
I wanted to like this but I couldn't get myself to care past the singles
made me feel like an aesthetic and productive girlie first thing in the morning.
funky way to start the morning
if McCartney is the pinnacle of musical achievement then I'm okay with staying unenlightened
Maybe my parents were onto something with this one
Brit pop either opens your eyes to possibilities and is amazing or is extremely mid there's no in between
Celebrity Skin gave me high hopes
I wanted to "Fly Away" from this album
Now this is the 60s music I like
GO GATORS, GO GATORS, GO GATORS, COME ON GATORS GET UP AND GO!🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊
Great vocals but there really isn't much interesting here, 3
simultaneously gut wrenching but also pleasantly amusing
it's giving the background music in the bring it on sequels
the first song sets you up for a whole lot of nothing
what fun instrumentals but also this reminds me of outkast with a less iconic sound
i unfortunately do not understand why people think this is so special
*two white guys travel to africa and the middle east and have the great idea of making an album with those sounds*
the rest of the world: is this the birth of modern day music??
The grip that jack antonoff has on the pop girlies needs to be studied
It's the 90s and I'm in a smoky room with a sexy lady
Saturday Night's Alright will never not remind me of Gnomeo and Juliet
This would have ruined my life 3 years ago
Today I came to the sad realization that the Pixies is not a band made up of lesbians
people who think this is the best soul album aren't real
i fear yall just don't like punk if it's not the velvet underground
this list is me slowly but surely realizing that i have a deep hatred for 70s music
