Popular Reviews

3 Feet High and Rising by De La Soul

I found this to be a fun vibe! Just 3 friends fucking around. Not necessarily something I'll come back to, but definitely in the upper percentile of things to come out of long island.

Kid A by Radiohead

Fine I guess. There's a layered sound here that could be interesting but I just find it to be too cold. Idioteque is a total banger though

The White Album by Beatles

The powers that be have conspired to torture me with this god forsaken noise. For what crime am I subject to this? What a fallen world we live in that this web page subjects me to these annoying little men

Rubber Soul by Beatles

They can't keep getting away with this

Guero by Beck
May 28 2024

Interesting instrumentation, cool vibes, annoying voice

Kid A by Radiohead
May 30 2024

Fine I guess. There's a layered sound here that could be interesting but I just find it to be too cold. Idioteque is a total banger though

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
May 31 2024

Dudes rock

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Jun 04 2024

Have not listened to much Stevie Wonder but felt this was very strong. Cool sound across the board, love a lot of the little synthesizer parts. Pulls in some elements of social commentary too. Deserves it's place on the list

Jun 05 2024

Lacking any big hook to pull me in. Probably too long. I support giving your music a weird plot but the sound is just not there to me, it all sorta bleeds together

Pyromania by Def Leppard
Jun 06 2024

DUDES ROCK

Group Sex by Circle Jerks
Jun 07 2024

I didn't like it, but it was short and I respect that

Jun 08 2024

Queen has done better. Love Killer Queen & Flick of the Wrist

Jun 09 2024

A solid album I think! Not necessarily something id seek out but I found it to be a good moody vibe to listen to

Homework by Daft Punk

Aroundtheworldaroundtheworldaroundthenworldaroundthewoooooorld

Amnesiac by Radiohead
Jun 12 2024

You could say that I'm not a Radiohead head

Harvest by Neil Young
Jun 13 2024

Neil Young is so good at speaking to heartache and melancholy while also writing an absolute banger. After the Goldrush is better imo, but this is still the guy doing the thing and doing it masterfully

3 Feet High and Rising by De La Soul
Jun 15 2024

I found this to be a fun vibe! Just 3 friends fucking around. Not necessarily something I'll come back to, but definitely in the upper percentile of things to come out of long island.

Hearts And Bones by Paul Simon
Jun 16 2024

Not remarkable but I did feel that the vibe was there

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Jun 17 2024

Not a single skip, an absolutely incredible achievement in camp by (as far as we know) straight men.

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Jun 18 2024

I would like them to stop doing whatever it is that they're doing

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Jun 19 2024

This is good shit!!! Wasn't IN LOVE with it but a solid album and I enjoyed the listen

For Your Pleasure by Roxy Music
Jun 20 2024

An interesting listen, but not something that left much of a mark on me. Definitely cool to hear their stuff knowing how influential they are

Red Dirt Girl by Emmylou Harris
Jun 21 2024

Again not super my thing but not bad music by any means

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Jun 22 2024

Glad to have finally given it a proper listen! A few songs I did recognize, good stuff!

Ys by Joanna Newsom
Jun 26 2024

I'm sorry Joanna I just cant

Playing With Fire by Spacemen 3
Jun 28 2024

Interesting sound, nothing really stood out for me but found it to be a decent listen

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Jun 30 2024

Zappas done better

Quiet Life by Japan
Jul 01 2024

Interesting early new wave, not really any major standout songs but I can see it being influential

The White Album by Beatles
Jul 02 2024

The powers that be have conspired to torture me with this god forsaken noise. For what crime am I subject to this? What a fallen world we live in that this web page subjects me to these annoying little men

On The Beach by Neil Young
Jul 09 2024

Not top tier Neil Young but still an enjoyable listen

Alien Lanes by Guided By Voices
Jul 10 2024

Ingenue by k.d. lang
Jul 11 2024

Enjoyed this! Found it to be affecting and a good vibe

Remedy by Basement Jaxx
Jul 12 2024

Would like it more if it didn't have vocals

Rubber Soul by Beatles
Jul 13 2024

They can't keep getting away with this

Hysteria by Def Leppard
Jul 14 2024

A solid album but unnecessary on this list. We don't need a second Def Leppard album, especially when Pyromania does everything this does but better

#1 Record by Big Star
Jul 17 2024

Better than the other one, didn't need two from these guys

Let It Be by The Replacements
Jul 19 2024

A surprise hit for me! I found this really fascinating. It varies across the board tonally yet comes across as this very genuine portrait of adolescent feeling. There's an almost "Bruce Springsteen goes punk" kind of sound here that I really enjoy. I find the mentions of queerness on "Androgynous" and "Sixteen Blue" really interesting as these offhand feelings that exist in the speakers world. Not a thing id ever check out otherwise but very happy I listened

Ragged Glory by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Jul 21 2024

I find this deeply generic, Neil can and.has done better

Jul 22 2024

A very solid mostly cover album, while I prefer many of the originals Cash's renditions definitely speak from an emotional place

London Calling by The Clash
Jul 23 2024

Very classic with some mega hits, it had to be on the list

Ready To Die by The Notorious B.I.G.
Jul 24 2024

Largely very catchy music, interesting as autobiography, the ending is really haunting

Tical by Method Man
Jul 26 2024
Queen II by Queen
Jul 27 2024

Does not need to be here, it's fine

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Jul 30 2024

Psycho Killer is great but they have better albums

Wild Gift by X
Jul 31 2024

Kinda samey all the way through

Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears
Aug 02 2024

The platonic ideal of 80s pop yet timeless in its excellence. Shout and Everybody Wants to Rule the World are all time classics. Head Over Heels is basically my theme song. The Working Hour is hugely underrated. I've loved this album for years and will continue to love it. 47/5 stars

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Aug 03 2024

Mostly fun vibe, no standouts for me but solid listen

Venus Luxure No. 1 Baby by Girls Against Boys
Aug 07 2024

Really solid stuff! I like the sound a lot and there's a couple really good songs. Very cool distorted/hazy vibes

Darklands by The Jesus And Mary Chain
Aug 08 2024

An enjoyable listen, I wouldn't say I have strong thoughts but I found it pleasurable

Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Aug 09 2024

Really great sound, Out of the Blue & Into the Black area both iconic. I enjoy both the acoustic & electric halves. Good shit

Aug 11 2024

Interesting, at times sonically interesting. I can see the way this influenced MGMT and similar bands. I like the vibe but nothing besides Broken Heart stands out to me

Fuzzy Logic by Super Furry Animals
Aug 12 2024

Not great, gave me a weak Elvis Costello knock off vibe

Marquee Moon by Television
Aug 13 2024

I don't even remember it

Aug 15 2024

Let it bleed? More like Make Me Bleed

Aug 16 2024

This is too british

Not their best but a thoroughly solid sound

Gentlemen by The Afghan Whigs
Aug 26 2024

Really good sound even if there isn't a standout song

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Aug 27 2024

Not his best but still a solid entry, Pump it Up is iconic

Bert Jansch by Bert Jansch
Aug 30 2024

Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman
Sep 01 2024

Tracy Chapman is simply one of the best to ever do it. This album is heartbreaking, thought provoking, eternally socially relevant, and just damn good
