These boys are so beastie

Have not listened to much Stevie Wonder but felt this was very strong. Cool sound across the board, love a lot of the little synthesizer parts. Pulls in some elements of social commentary too. Deserves it's place on the list

Lacking any big hook to pull me in. Probably too long. I support giving your music a weird plot but the sound is just not there to me, it all sorta bleeds together

Neil Young is so good at speaking to heartache and melancholy while also writing an absolute banger. After the Goldrush is better imo, but this is still the guy doing the thing and doing it masterfully

A nothing album

I found this to be a fun vibe! Just 3 friends fucking around. Not necessarily something I'll come back to, but definitely in the upper percentile of things to come out of long island.

Not remarkable but I did feel that the vibe was there

Good not great

A surprise hit for me! I found this really fascinating. It varies across the board tonally yet comes across as this very genuine portrait of adolescent feeling. There's an almost "Bruce Springsteen goes punk" kind of sound here that I really enjoy. I find the mentions of queerness on "Androgynous" and "Sixteen Blue" really interesting as these offhand feelings that exist in the speakers world. Not a thing id ever check out otherwise but very happy I listened

I find this deeply generic, Neil can and.has done better

A very solid mostly cover album, while I prefer many of the originals Cash's renditions definitely speak from an emotional place

Largely very catchy music, interesting as autobiography, the ending is really haunting

What can I say beyond "music"

The platonic ideal of 80s pop yet timeless in its excellence. Shout and Everybody Wants to Rule the World are all time classics. Head Over Heels is basically my theme song. The Working Hour is hugely underrated. I've loved this album for years and will continue to love it. 47/5 stars

Tracy Chapman is simply one of the best to ever do it. This album is heartbreaking, thought provoking, eternally socially relevant, and just damn good
