3 Feet High and Rising
De La SoulSome absolute classics in there. Other stuff is very of it’s time!

Some real nice songs in there. My notable favourites were “they’re hanging me tonight” and “el paso”. This music gives me memories of 1950s cowboy movies shown on a Sunday afternoon growing up.
Clearly a great and complex album. Could do with listening to it a hundred more times to properly appreciate it.
First song is a classic and immediately added to my playlist! Not particularly my type of music to listen full albums to but overall enjoyed it.
Freeebiird! I really enjoyed listening to this. Awesome.
Patrick Bateman vibes from this one. Nice album, probably got more appreciation for him now.
Really nice to revisit this album!
Good to listen to it again. Definitely not really my cup of tea. But lots of elements in it that are great. It is in my opinion probably the most iconic film music that has ever been made.
Really great. I have always planned to listen to more of Kate Bush, so this album was very welcome and it didn’t let down. Great songs and some really nice instruments featuring throughout the album.
Doesn’t do a whole lot for me. Sound production is impressive though.
Great band, class album. Probably one of my favourite of Radiohead.
Still listen to this album frequent enough…probably stands testament to what I think of it. Awesome.
Never heard of him and after the first listen I thought it was pretty meh. But I decided to listen again a good few more times throughout the day and it got way better. Something Townes Van Zandt (only more instrumental) about it that really appealed to me.
Did some reading of this album to better understand what exactly I was listening too. Felt I needed to after that fiddling song haha. Pinball wizard makes a lot more since now! Tis a seriously influential album! Like it became so important culturally that Jack Nicholson features in the movie they made of it…. Which I might try get round to watching! But overall the drums are awesome but the album is not quite for me…
As a kid I didn’t really enjoy listening to Steely Dan in the back seat during a car journey. But they really are a grower! Excelllwnt album. Great pop hits and class guitar work! Just a couple songs that I still struggle with at the end!
I definitely am a bigger fan of other Beck albums, but nonetheless a cool album if not a little chaotic!
A rather enjoyable listen. Some songs worked for me more than others.
I only really listened to their earlier blues stuff. It’s quite a distant memory by the time of this album. Twas a good listen. The chain is class! Started reading about the founding members of the band and it’s pretty colourful, the 70s has a lot to answer for haha.
In the initial listen I not enjoy this album. This probably wasn’t helped following on from fleetwoodmac. But I lightened up and the album is grand easy listening country rock. “Train leaves here this morning” is pretty catchy stuff.
Very good. I enjoyed.
I think this album suffered being given to us on a Monday. I listened to a bit of it again this morning (Tuesday) and it sounded a lot better. So it was originally a 2 for me but it just snagged a 3 as i was quite enjoying it upon a 2nd listen.
Interesting to learn about Qawwali music. Maybe good to introduces to this stuff in small doses. Taking on a 2 sided album was abit of an overload. Impressive voice.
So begins my love for murder ballads.
First time listening to the album fully. Although I felt like I knew most of it from listening on the radio. Good band.
Been quite a long time since I have listened to this album. Really great stuff.
Twas paired very well with my crazily dark and foggy drive (with lots of car lights) to work and back! Never really bothered listening to this group, so came as a nice surprise.
Always been reccomended listening to their stuff and never bothered.
Good
Great
Great pace. A thoroughly enjoyable listen.
Never liked them. Was over exposed to this stuff on the radio growing up
Yeah very enjoyable. That signature sound of Stevie Wonder is very infectious.
