Loved this. Great backstory.
It’s fine. Legendary track or 3. But the slow songs plod along. I also don’t care for the Phil Spectre production.
My first time listening to this genre of music. Started OK. Loved the drum sound and guitar tone. Background female singers were lovely. Didn’t love the male lead vocal as much. By the end of the album I found a particular repetitive sound absolutely grating. It sounded like a child playing a recorder flute. That said, hypnotizing rhythms and liveliness carry this record. I appreciate it even if I don’t love it.
Uplifting record. Pleasant to listen to. I really enjoyed They Won’t Go When I Go.
This was my first start-to-finish listen of a CCR album that wasn't a greatest hits. The "swamp rock" drone bored me after a while. This album has 2-3 really terrific songs (and 1 of them is 1 on the greatest songs of all-time) but that doesn't save this full album for me. I'd still rather listen to the greatest hits.
Very enjoyable listen. I have never listened to Mayfield before. His voice was great and the production was awesome. Guitar and drum sounds were a joy to listen to.
What a great listen. I’m not the biggest metal fan but I feel like every metal riff I’ve ever heard was cribbed from this album.
I never gave this album appropriate credit. In addition to having 3 really strong rock tracks that should be considered legendary, the rest of the album is a great listen. No filler. Solid riffs.
Weirder than I expected from a Fleetwood Mac album. Felt like a lot of filler. Not as interesting as I had hoped.
This album makes my soul feel warm.
Biased review since I lived through this record release back in 2000. It was a magical experience on first listen. Challenging and unexpected and awesome.
Better than I remember. Finally listened to the lyrics more closely. So good. Really enjoyed this.
Better than I remember. Great guitar tones.
Better than the other CCR album on this list I’ve had already. Good driving music.
Better than I expected. Great instrument sound. Good song construction. Voice gets grating after a while.

Solid. Great recording sound. Can’t believe this was recorded live in 1960 with quality like this.
Fantastic listen. I need to dive into their whole catalog now.
Starts out fine but gets so repetitive. It became a chore to finish listening to this even though there are like 2-3 really enjoyable songs on here.
Impressive. I hear where Muse gets their influence.
Would have been better with Garfunkel
Meh. Interesting but not interesting enough
I know they’re influential but I didn’t care for this much at all.
Enjoyable listen. Loved Disco 2000
An unexpected treat. Really enjoyed this one.
I only knew Cry to Me. Enjoyed the rest of this. Great voice.
Would be a perfect album but has a little too much fat
Better than I expected. This album had a ton of great songs. Hand to mouth was a surprising listen
Not my favorite album by him but a great listen. Everything Means Nothing to Me is an all-time great song.
A nice listen but just not my vibe. Some lovely soft songs with a great sound and tone. Just not for me.
I thought I would like this more. Forgettable to me.
Awesome vibes. Great recorded sound. Drummer is otherworldly
I didn’t hate this. Decent songs. Great recorded sounds
Fine enough. Lovely jazz and her voice is great. Just not a fan of the actual songs for the most part.
While not my vibe, this was a pleasant surprise. I didn’t hate it. Good zoning out and working music.
Fine. Not my thing. Felt long
Interesting enough. I didn’t know what to expect and some of the songs were actually kind of fun to listen to. That said not really what I’m interested in.
The audience’s boisterous reaction surprised me. I liked this.
Pretty good. Sounds a lot like more modern female artists, but this record predates all that. Wish there was more of a focus on music, as it felt like she was always singing.
Outstanding. Blacker the Berry might be the best rap song I’ve ever heard.
Perfect bubblegum pop music. Enjoyed this more than I expected to
Heavy riffs. Hear a lot of influence in early Nirvana and grunge. Just not for me.
I guess I don’t really love folk music. This was very good from the perspective of a lyricist. But I did not think very much of the song structures.
A worse version of Abbey Road songs. This gets old fast. Layla saves this record.
