Oct 30 2025

I did not think that I would enjoy this at all. Good vocal performances with stylish 80s/90s production. Starts off great, takes a slight dip in quality towards the end. Nevertheless a positive surprise. 7/10

Oct 31 2025

One of the first vinyl records I ever bought! The first 3 song run on this might be up there with the greatest starts to an album ever, but the rest is not quite as good. Even though I'm not a fan of other U2 albums, this one holds a special place in my heart. 8/10

Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5
Nov 03 2025

On paper this is a solid hip hop record with quality production and versatile rapping. Yet for some reason I still remain unimpressed. While the quality of the beats is quite consistent, the rhymes and deliveries often lack sauce, making the overall listening experience somewhat bland for me. 6/10

Disintegration by The Cure
Nov 04 2025

Easily the best Cure album, and one of the greatest albums of the whole decade. I really don't have anything unique to say about this album. Classic. Timeless. 9/10

A Girl Called Dusty by Dusty Springfield
Nov 05 2025

I have a soft spot for 60s pop music. I love the eery and spacious instrumentation combined with her sweet vocals. Just lovely. 7/10

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Nov 06 2025

Still waiting for him to finish the rest of the states... Just a beautifully crafted album with intricate songwriting and a strong concept. One of my favorites. 9/10

California by American Music Club
Nov 07 2025

It's alright. The only memorable tracks for me were Western Sky, Firefly, and the closer. Bad Liquor seems out of place. 5/10

Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Nov 10 2025

Probably the greatest Metallica record, or at least the most consistent one. Filled with great riffs and insane solos. Classic. 9/10

Abraxas by Santana
Nov 11 2025

Great guitars, cool atmosphere. Incident at Neshabur is transcendental. I might have to smoke a blunt and give this another go. 6/10

Tres Hombres by ZZ Top
Nov 12 2025

I'm not a huge fan of Southern Blues Rock, but ZZ Top sounds quite tight and focused on this album. Could imagine drinking a case of beer and smoking a carton of cigarettes to this album easily. 6/10

The Pleasure Principle by Gary Numan
Nov 13 2025

Overall kinda enjoyable, somewhat repetitive and boring. 5/10

Heartattack And Vine by Tom Waits
Nov 14 2025

I haven't heard a lot of Tom Waits albums, but I feel like this one was caught in the middle of his transition from traditional piano ballads to a more experimental sound. While some of the bluesier tracks in my opinion work nicely, the rest is not for me. 4/10

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Nov 17 2025

Easily their best album. Paul's vocals combined with killer riffs, solos, and overall songwriting give this record a unique sound that they never replicated later on. CLASSIC! 10/10

Hotel California by Eagles
Nov 18 2025

Standard inoffensive rock music from the seventies. A bit too dull for me, but has strong highlights. 6/10

The Stranger by Billy Joel
Nov 19 2025

Classic 70s album full of hits. What's not to like? Nothing too spectacular though, easy to listen to. 7/10

The Scream by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Nov 20 2025

Influental, not fully realised sound. I prefer their later albums. Still cool though. 6/10

Locust Abortion Technician by Butthole Surfers
Nov 21 2025

One of the most unique albums I've ever heard. Surely also very influential, but doesn't do much for me. Human Cannonball rocks though. 5/10

Surf's Up by The Beach Boys
Nov 25 2025

The second best Beach Boys album right after Pet Sounds. Consistent all around, but there are a few weaker tracks on the A side. Overall very nice, and often overlooked. 8/10

Nov 26 2025

One of the most important indie records of all time. All killer, no filler. 10/10

Porcupine by Echo And The Bunnymen
Nov 27 2025

I'm still waiting for this band to click for me. Ocean Rain didn't do it for me except for a few tracks, and this album is following the same trend. I'd rather just go listen to the Sound or the Cure. The Cutter rips though. 5/10

Nov 28 2025

Marley Marl's production has aged gracefully. While LL Cool J is charismatic and flows pretty well for 1990, the album has this dated sound that bothers me a bit. 6/10

Raw Power by The Stooges
Dec 02 2025

This is insanely good. The only thing that really bothers me, are the several various mixes and versions that all sound kinda bad. Some mixes on YouTube fix this issue though. 9/10

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Dec 03 2025

So fucking smooth, give me an icy cold bev on a beach somewhere with this shit playing on the background oh yeasss. I should listen to more bossa nova. 8/10

Gentlemen by The Afghan Whigs
Dec 04 2025

I like the 90s alt/grunge sound this album has, but something about Dulli's vocal delivery and lyrics just do not work for me, leaving me somewhat unsatisfied. 6/10

Henry's Dream by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Dec 05 2025

This is the third album I've tried from Nick Cave, but I just can't get into his music. I can't even describe why that is. 4/10

Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
Dec 08 2025

Ahh the nostalgia. Honestly the best or second best Foo Fighters album, despite its rawness and weird lyrics. Their sound on later albums is just so fucking bland. 7/10

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
Dec 09 2025

Not a huge blues guy, sounds cool but not really my thing. 5/10

Dec 10 2025

Inoffensive rock music from the UK. I liked some of the songs, but the album's overall blandness made me kinda bored. 5/10

Traffic by Traffic
Dec 11 2025

This is a great rock record with no misses. Strong songwriting paired with good production. 8/10

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley
Dec 12 2025

The king sure could sing. 60s soul does it for me once again. Good album. 7/10

The Genius Of Ray Charles by Ray Charles
Dec 15 2025

Even the great charismatic force that is Ray Charles could not save this album from repetitive big band irritation. The more laid back tracks on the b side without constant horn blasting are actually quite enjoyable. 6/10

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Dec 16 2025

One of the strongest double albums of all time. Simply phenomenal. 9/10

Mothership Connection by Parliament
Dec 17 2025

Influential and fun, what's not to like? Well, for me this is an album that I just can't fully connect with for some reason. Maybe I'm just too boring for this. 5/10

Made In Japan by Deep Purple
Dec 18 2025

It's ok. I'd rather listen to a Thin Lizzy live album though. 6/10

Bummed by Happy Mondays
Dec 19 2025

So fucking groovy and cool. 7/10

Metallica by Metallica
Dec 22 2025

The last good Metallica album. Has some great tracks but pales in comparison to their 80s output. 6/10

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Dec 23 2025

Good millenial coded indie rock. Not quite as good as Funeral but very solid. 7/10

Cut by The Slits
Dec 24 2025

Very meh. Typical Girls is a good song though. 5/10

Dub Housing by Pere Ubu
Dec 25 2025

Annoying vocals, experimental songwriting, complete mess. 4/10

Live! by Fela Kuti
Dec 30 2025

Very groovy. Both drummers are mind numbingly brilliant, just wow. 8/10

OK by Talvin Singh
Jan 01 2026

ass 3/10

Yank Crime by Drive Like Jehu
Jan 02 2026

I suspect that this requires several listens to fully click. After 2 listens I'm intrigued but haven't fully got it, yet. 6/10

Jan 05 2026

Filled with all time indietronica classics. Isn't quite as consistent as their later albums, but still a good listen. 7/10

Melodrama by Lorde
Jan 06 2026

It's a good pop album with polished production and some catchy anthemic hooks. It just lacks some oomph, which is my main concern with it. 6/10

Fever To Tell by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Jan 07 2026

Raw and energetic garage rock revival with a serious lack in overall songwriting and catchiness. 5/10

Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service
Jan 08 2026

Weird and groovy psychedelic rock from the 60s. Apparently recorded live for the most part. Impressive. 7/10

You Want It Darker by Leonard Cohen
Jan 09 2026

I'm sorry but I just don't enjoy this at all. 4/10

Africa Brasil by Jorge Ben Jor
Jan 12 2026

Tropical, groovy, and playful. Simply fantastic. 8/10

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
Jan 13 2026

Classic for a reason. A bit bloated, especially side C. 7/10

The La's by The La's
Jan 14 2026

Great prebritpop classic, very influential record filled with catchy tunes. Great! 8/10

Vanishing Point by Primal Scream
Jan 15 2026

Trippy, very psychedelic. I love the mix of trip hop, dub and rock. 7/10

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Jan 16 2026

I'm suddenly getting the urge to take a bath with a toaster. 8/10

Scott 4 by Scott Walker
Jan 21 2026

Sparse, ominous, and beautiful baroque pop with amazing vocal performances. Classic!! 8/10

The Contino Sessions by Death In Vegas
Jan 22 2026

The first track really gets you going, but the rest of the album does not live up to the hype. 5/10

Stankonia by OutKast
Jan 26 2026

Stone cold classic. Combines Andre's funky rapping with Big Boi's smooth and consistent flow. Full with all-time classics and hidden gems. 8/10

All Directions by The Temptations
Jan 27 2026

Left me wanting more, I like the more soulful tracks on the B side. 6/10

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Jan 28 2026

Quirky fun. They developed their sound on later albums, but Psycho Killer is an all-timer for sure. 7/10

Tonight's The Night by Neil Young
Jan 29 2026

Apparently gets better on each re-listen. I'm currently on number 2 and it's just okay for now. 6/10

Murmur by R.E.M.
Jan 30 2026

An important album filled with catchy jangle pop anthems. One of the first bands to bridge the alt/indie scene into the mainstream. CLASSIC! 8/10

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
Feb 02 2026

I don't know what it is with me and Deep Purple, but I'd rather listen to Thin Lizzy or Black Sabbath over them every time. It's not a bad album, just kind of mediocre in my opinion. 6/10

Roxy Music by Roxy Music
Feb 04 2026

B side almost put me to sleep, A side is definitely stronger. Also, shout out to Brian Eno. 6/10

Feb 05 2026

Sounds great on vinyl, what a fantastic album. 8/10

S.F. Sorrow by The Pretty Things
Feb 06 2026

Where has this album been all this time? Fantastic psych rock! 8/10

Back In Black by AC/DC
Feb 09 2026

It's okay. Quite formulaic per usual + I think their albums with Bon Scott are just better. 6/10

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Feb 11 2026

Their first with Bruce, it's cool but nowhere near their debut due to inconsistency. 4 all-timers vs. 4 ok tracks. 7/10

Eliminator by ZZ Top
Feb 12 2026

While I appreciate the switch up in style, the music is still a tad too repetitive and inconsistent in my opinion. 5/10

Arrival by ABBA
Feb 16 2026

Short and sweet, filled to the brim with absolute hits. The deep cuts are also quite great. 8/10

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Feb 17 2026

Almost Cut My Hair is an incredible track, wow. The album is versatile and still somehow very cohesive, which is impressive with 4 different songwriters and vocalists. 8/10

Tago Mago by Can
Feb 18 2026

The A and B sides being so great justify the freakishness of the last two sides. 8/10

Slipknot by Slipknot
Feb 19 2026

I can't lie, this was my shit back in high school. Listening to this now, I can't really take the lyrics seriously. The first half is quite decent, but the rest just drags on. 5/10

Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones
Feb 24 2026

My favorite Stones record. Incredible start with 4 all-time classic tracks. The B-side doesn't quite live up to the same standard, while still being solid. 8/10

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Feb 25 2026

I'm afraid I have been sleeping on the Dan. I sincerely apologize. Kings, Dirty Work, and Reelin' in the Years are insanely good. 8/10

Darklands by The Jesus And Mary Chain
Feb 26 2026

Awesome. Not quite as good as Psychohoney, but close. 7/10

Picture Book by Simply Red
Feb 27 2026

Cool moody pop from the 80s. It's ok. 6/10

Blackstar by David Bowie
Mar 02 2026

I prefer other Bowie records. 6/10

Green by R.E.M.
Mar 03 2026

Mediocre R.E.M. album. 5/10

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
Mar 04 2026

Almost as good as Thriller. 7/10

Fear and Whiskey by Mekons
Mar 05 2026

Has it's moments, but is ultimately mediocre. 5/10

Achtung Baby by U2
Mar 09 2026

This ended up being far more entertaining than I remembered. Maybe I do enjoy U2 outside of Joshua Tree after all... 7/10

The Clash by The Clash
Mar 10 2026

I should've listened to this earlier! This is closer in quality to London Calling than I was expecting, even though it's rawer and more straightforward punk rock overall. 8/10

Mar 12 2026

Some classic tracks, great samples, and overall innovative hip hop. It's a bit too long/bloated to be considered their best work alongside of The Low End Theory and Midnight Marauders. Still, a good experience and a must-listen for any true hip hop fan. 7/10

Kenya by Machito
Mar 13 2026
War by U2
Mar 16 2026

Are all of U2's albums in this book?? The sound is more post-punk, but the songs seem also more unpolished. Sunday Bloody Sunday and New Year's Day carry this album HARD. 6/10

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Mar 17 2026

I'm ashamed for not listening to this earlier. Up there with 70s prog classics. I love the dynamic of grand hard hitting rock tracks suplemented with short folkesque songs in-between. 8/10

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
Mar 23 2026

Probably the only album to have the EXACT same rating on this website as on RYM (3.99 as of this moment on both). I've previously underrated this album, but I have to admit that it's up there with his best work. 8/10

Diamond Life by Sade
Mar 24 2026

Strong vocals. The album is a bit front-loaded, which is why I prefer Promise over this one. 7/10

Make Yourself by Incubus
Mar 25 2026

Incredibly 90s! It has some solid tracks, but honestly I'd rather listen to Deftones or Hum to scratch the itch for heavy alt 90s music. 6/10

Mar 26 2026

One of the strongest grunge records of the 90s. Overhated because of Courney Love's antics, but the music speaks for itself. Violet and Doll Parts are all-timers. 8/10

So by Peter Gabriel
Mar 27 2026

I find this album to sound a bit dated. Many tracks are also too long for no good reason. Red Rain & Sledgehammer are great songs, but the rest is not quite up to par. 6/10

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Mar 30 2026

Properly rated, even though I don't listen to it as often as I should. 7/10

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone
Mar 31 2026

Cool and pleasant, not my thing. 6/10

Dry by PJ Harvey
Apr 03 2026

I like it, but nothing really sticks out to me though. 6/10

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Apr 06 2026

The groove is unreal! 8/10

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Apr 07 2026

Nothing he does or says will ever diminish this album's greatness in my eyes. His best work. 10/10

Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
Apr 08 2026

As a huge hip hop fan, I recognize a ton of samples taken from this album. The A side is perfect. Classic stuff. 8/10

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Apr 09 2026

Cozy soul music. The B side is clearly stronger. 6/10

The White Album by Beatles
Apr 10 2026

One of the greatest double albums of all time. Top 3 Beatles record, what else is there to say? 9/10

Apr 13 2026

Classic album, but some elements haven't aged that gracefully. It's also bloated and front loaded, which deducts some points from me. 7/10

Apr 15 2026

Sarcastic post-punk filled with character, energy, and an ominous atmosphere. This is probably my third time hearing this album and it sounds better each time. I'm definitely warming up to their sound! 7/10

Django Django by Django Django
Apr 16 2026

Watered down Neo-Psych, do yourself a favor and listen to Animal Collective instead. 4/10

No Other by Gene Clark
Apr 17 2026

Overall an enjoyable experience. It's a shame that this album didn't get the recognition it deserves back in the day. Some Misunderstanding... 7/10

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
Apr 20 2026

Bob's best in my opinion. Fantastic songwriting and storytelling with beautiful instrumentals. Hurts so good! Perfect. 10/10

Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsystem
Apr 21 2026

Every song bangs so god damn hard. All My Friends is an all-timer for sure. One of the greats of the 00s! 9/10

Apr 23 2026

I went into this thinking that I was in for a classic one hit wonder experience. I was proven wrong: there are many 80s bangers on here that are just pure fun. 6/10

LP1 by FKA twigs
Apr 24 2026

Strong debut album by one of the greatest pop artists of our time. Has some amazing highlights, but isn't consistent enough to be truly considered great in my opinion. 7/10

Aja by Steely Dan
Apr 27 2026

It's a fine album, but I prefer their debut more. 7/10

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Apr 28 2026

This could've been one of Zeppelin's best records if it was trimmed down to like 10 songs. Still very good. 7/10

Apr 29 2026

Very unique and full of character. It's too long for my taste, but nevertheless a cool experience. 6/10

Scissor Sisters by Scissor Sisters
May 01 2026

How the fuck did this album ever sell over 3 million copies? 3/10

B-52's by The B-52's
May 04 2026

Groovy, weird, short, and just plain fun. 8/10

Rubber Soul by Beatles
May 05 2026

The first great Beatles album. No duds, but the highlights pale in comparison to later albums. 8/10

The Doors by The Doors
May 11 2026

Top 10 album EVER. There's nothing else to be said, really. 10/10

Gorillaz by Gorillaz
May 13 2026

I don't know what it is with me and Gorillaz. I feel like something is missing, like everyone else is hearing something that I'm just not. This album is so dull and mediocre, with only a few highlights just like Plastic Beach. Clint Eastwood might be the most overrated song of all time, ugh. 5/10

Headquarters by The Monkees
May 15 2026

Decent. Shows some signs of what was to come from The Monkees and their next album, which is a pure classic imo. 6/10

Safe As Milk by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band
May 21 2026
In It For The Money by Supergrass
May 22 2026

I've been sleeping on this album. A very worthy sequel to their fantastic debut record. 7/10

May 25 2026

Has 4 classic tracks, the rest are mid or plain trash. Overrated as an album, but I get its classic status. 5/10

London Calling by The Clash
May 26 2026

One of the few double albums that actually deserves to be as long as it is. It's so versatile, fun, and simply brilliant. All-time classic alert! 9/10

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Jun 01 2026

Classic dad rock full of groove and swagger. 9/10

Ready To Die by The Notorious B.I.G.
Jun 02 2026

Slightly bloated, almost a perfect album. Impressive rhymes, effortless flows, and convincing style from one of the greats. Must-listen. 9/10

Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
Jun 09 2026

Needs a little trim, still a solid record. 7/10

Live At Leeds by The Who
Jun 12 2026

I wish they'd sounded like this on their actual studio albums, so raw and full of energy. Great! 8/10

Moondance by Van Morrison
Jun 16 2026

I had previously only heard Astral Weeks, which I love, but this is just as good! Wow. Just a tad bit front loaded, the A side is really perfect. 8/10

Jul 02 2026

Essential 1st wave punk. Reading the comments for this one hurt... what do you mean you haven't heard about the Buzzcocks?! Educate yourselves you plebs.

Dookie by Green Day
Jul 07 2026

I've been a Green Day hater for as long as I can remember. But after hearing that their 90s output is actually worth listening to, I've decided to give their earlier material another shot. Dookie is a landmark 90s classic with over 20 million copies sold in the US alone. That alone is very impressive for an album such as this. I guess you had to be there to really get what made this album such a phenomenon back in the day. Basket Case and When I Come Around are iconic 90s anthems that really deserve their status as the most overplayed songs that appear in frat movies. Outside of that there isn't much noteworthy stuff or anything offensive either. Overall it's a fun pop punk album that doesn't overstay it's welcome, decent stuff. 6/10

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
Jul 13 2026

Doesn't quite reach the consistency of Sticky Fingers or Exile, but is a serviceable Stones record through and through. Solid. 7/10

Funeral by Arcade Fire
Jul 24 2026

This 2000s indie behemoth has a warranted classic status among music aficionados, myself included. It has a slight dip in quality during the midpoint, but the fantastic start and ending make up for it easily. 8/10

Jul 27 2026

There is nothing too spectacular here outside of the three hits, which are all classic 90s big beat bangers. Alright stuff. 6/10

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Jul 28 2026

Undeniable groove right here. I slightly prefer Expensive Shit, but this is almost quite as good. 7/10

Bandwagonesque by Teenage Fanclub
Jul 30 2026

90s alt rock version of Big Star (complimentary). Is This Music? FANTASTIC! 7/10

Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye
Aug 03 2026

His best? Wonderful soul music, can't miss it. 8/10

Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Aug 10 2026

First half is gold, despite the horrible mixing/mastering. Even the vinyl pressing can't save how this sounds. The second half is nowhere near as good as the first, which makes this album just solid instead of amazing. 7/10
