Classic! Stark departure from most of the contemporary music.
This one surprised me. It started like a pretty typical synth pop album, but delved deeper as the album continued.
The songs are really well played and produced, but mostly sound the same. I would hope for a bit more range throughout an album.
There’s some great classics in here! It’s a bit samey-same but really well done.
Classic prog rock! I enjoy that most of the songs are like small bursts of inspiration, sometimes drawing from classsical motifs like Gershwin‘s „Rhapsody in Blue.“
I never quite understood the hype over this band, and this album didn’t clear things up much. There are a few songs that are quite good, like Sprawl II.
There’s some great playing on this album, but I think I like his later stuff more.
This was a pretty good album. There are a few classics, and a nice bluesy sound throughout.
This album is pretty unique. I like the blend of country and rock.
What a unique album! I like how a lot of the songs flow into each other as movements of a larger work.
I’d already enjoyed a few songs, but I‘m kicking myself for not delving into the entire album earlier! This is some of the coolest stuff.
It was fine, but not all that innovative in my opinion. Maybe it hit different when it was first released though.
What a cool, heavy sound! I really enjoyed this!
Wonderful album! There’s something so earnest in their songwriting and singing.
This is a solid album, if a bit dated.
This is such a cool album! Love the retro vibe and the choir throughout.
This album has a cool unique sound, and a few really good songs. Solid!
Classic prob rock! I really like some of these songs and they have some very interesting harmonies.
This had potential to be good, but didn’t live up to it. I like genre-bending, but this feels too try-hard.
This was a decent album, but I don’t feel like it’s best-album-list worthy.
I like the vibes, but it seems to be pretty much purely vibes. Nothing stands out.
This one was hit-or-miss. There were some with classic Bowie touches, and some that seemed like typical hit-maker fare.
I like the overall sound! I looked at some of the lyrics and am impressed by the poetry. I feel like this is an album where you can discover something new with each listen.
I understand the historic value here, but I don’t think this is Dylan‘s best work by any means.
This is easy to listen to, but didn’t really blow me away.
I love the rawness. In a world where everything feels fake, authenticity is refreshing.
It feels really indulgent, but kind of in a cool way?
I think I’ve heard a song or two from this album, but I haven’t heard the thing before. It was actually pretty good.
Pretty cool stuff, actually.
I love the vibe, but how are they all the same song?
The music is phenomenal, but the subject matter gives it one
There’s some pretty cool stuff in here, but I’m not sure that I had to hear it before I die.
She was such an interesting artist. There’s a great variety in the songs, so there’s something for everyone.
There’s some gold in here, but honestly the sample parts were the best, in which case I may as well listen to the original song.
The second half of this album specifically is super cool!
The last song was a wild ride! Most of the others were a bit ho-hum.
The blend of styles is really neat. There is one instrument, however, that sounds a lot like a straw, and it seemed to be a bit overused in my opinion.
I really enjoyed this album. I love when people can just put aside the idea of having to have a specific genre and they just write good music..
I really love the Mamas and the Papas. „The In Crowd“ is a really stupid song, but it completely captures Mama Cass’s vocal talents.
I went to YouTube to listen to the full album. I see why they didn’t bother putting most of it on Spotify.
Wow! I bet this was awesome to hear live! Sounds like they put on a great show.
This album wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t really remarkable either.
This might feel life-changing if you were high at burning man, but otherwise nah
Some nice classic rock ‘n’ roll. I wouldn’t say it’s mind blowing though.
I have such mixed feelings on this album. I keep wavering between genius and cringe.
This album plays with a bunch of different styles, which is cool, but I can see why it was overlooked back when it was released. It’s good music, but there aren’t any real bangers.
This is a great album. I love when music doesn’t take itself too seriously. And there’s a good variety as well.
Back from when Blondie was kind of punk. It’s a pretty solid album.
Kind of Blue is your brain. Bitches Brew is your brain on drugs.
There’s some pretty good songs in here, but some of it sounds a bit redundant.
This one deserves five for run to the hills alone.
It feels like this album bridges, some kind of gap between alternative and pop punk.
I appreciate the experimentation, but sometimes it just sounded silly.
Gahhh there’s some great songs on here but pedophilic lyrics……
It has a cool vibe, but none of the songs really stand out.
Nice and raw sounding, and pretty good songs.
Every song is amazing! Almost a perfect album.
What masters! A bit overindulgent with the trumpet sometimes though.
Kinda cool, but mostly noise
Some great songs and great guitar playing!
Cool prog stuff going on, but it’s not their best album.
Well-made by talented musicians, but I guess it‘s just not my style. Would kinda slap at a renaissance faire though.
I know this album is widely hailed as being amazing, but it really just felt like one long song. I feel bad for disliking it lol
Not The Beach Boys at their greatest.
This album didn’t really do much for me. Not bad, but not spectacular.
They get some flak for being „dad-rock“ these days, but it’s actually some pretty good music!
Awesome variety, and great songwriting!
This is probably their best album. It’s both heavy and melodic and super catchy.
Torn Curtain gives it an extra star. Otherwise it was just ok.
It’s a Classic for a Reason!
Nice sound, but nothing stood out as being particularly special.
His solo stuff isn’t great
Much better than his other album on here. I like the message, and it’s cool that it brings these audio samples to people who may have never heard them, and pique people’s curiosity.
This album didn’t really begin until Sabotage, but then it took off running! What a treat!
This is really interesting! I like the variety and Style.
Edit: Left up the original review, but downgraded to a 1 after learning of the pedophilia?!?
This one has the thrashy elements that OG fans like along with the melodic nature that brought them into the mainstream. Only complaint is that it’s way too long.
It’s cool to hear the bridge between old school rock and roll and the progressive, punk, and new wave styles that were to come.
It was a pretty cool album after I got over the disappointment of a band called Meat Puppets not being a girl group.
Not bad, but it didn’t stand out to me much. It probably hit harder when it first came out though.
Why are there so many pedos?! Edited down from 3 to 1.
I feel sorry for my ears.
Probably their best album. There are a couple of good songs, but overall I can’t quite understand the appeal.
Excellent songwriting! You can tell it comes from the heart.
I feel like I need to give this one another listen sometime. It has some interesting stuff going on, but most of it just sounds like typical contemporary country.
Great album! Kinda spooky and funky, and most importantly it feels authentic.
It’s a classic for a reason
Cool vibes, but why are the songs so long?
Bad Moon Rising is kinda the song keeping this album afloat. Everything else kinda sounds the same.
At least it knows where it belongs.
Very cool! Can’t believe I hadn’t heard it before, and it’s restoring my faith in this list.
Raw power indeed! Reminds me of a dive bar I used to frequent in Manhattan. Rip Grassroots!
Mixed feelings on this one. Sometimes it’s cool, and sometimes it’s just a trippy mess.
Not their best album, but solid and raw Daft Punk. They can do no wrong!
This was very interesting music. I feel like I need to give it another listen to absorb it all.
Kinda overblown in my opinion. I think their association with Warhol and gang raised their status more so than their actual music. Not terrible though.
This is what rock music should be. It’s rough around the edges, but still catchy and well executed.
Solid, fun pop! She was pretty cool!
A nice variety of songs. I personally waffle in my opinion of the rambling nature of her songwriting, but it can be really pleasant if I’m in the right mood.
This is really unique! I just wish there were a tad more structure and a whole lot less “cursive” singing. It adds artifice to something that otherwise feels genuine.
Interesting music that is wonderfully executed! What a gem!
Awesome music by an awesome guy
Pretty good rock and roll, but not standout
Can’t get behind this one. Not terrible though.
This probably should have been two albums, but it was still cool to jam for a while. It felt like time slowed down :)
This was well executed, but it seemed like they weren’t quite sure what vibe they were going for. There were really drastic shifts, sometimes mid-song, and it kinda took me out of it.
