Popular Reviews

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg

Fellas is it gay to talk about getting your balls gargled with the homies? What about commiserating over how cool your dick looks? No, no it's not like you're WAITING for someone to finally ask to see it or anything no it's not that at all it's just totally normal regular Real G type shit, OBVIOUSLY. I swear to god I know this was not written as a comedy album, but are we SURE this wasn't written with the intention of it being a comedy album? Because this shit had me laughing OUT LOUD. 1 point is for all the LBC shoutouts, 1 point is because this was much more refreshing at times than the last album was and for as embarrassing as he is, Snoop CAN rap, and that final point is because I have not laughed at something that's not made to be this funny in SO long. That was REFRESHING.

Blue Lines by Massive Attack

I've enjoyed what I heard from their album Mezzanine, and really enjoy Heligoland, had no idea they’d been in the game for so long. Fun to hear the clear foundation for a lot of electronic music today. Especially the music that leans toward that cinematic feel. Wish I could give half stars so I could give 4.5 instead of 4.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters by Fiona Apple

This might be my least favorite of her albums and it definitely does not deserve the 4 stars I’m giving it but I feel as if I need to in order to balance out all the other bad reviews/ratings out there. fiona apple has never done anything wrong ever and I think we should give her a gun and set her loose in hollywood for a few days

Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Feb 05 2026

Love when an album reminds you that music is supposed to be fun.

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Feb 06 2026

If you can't handle me at my Iron Maiden (Run to the hills) then you don't deserve me at my Kate Bush (Running UP that hill.) I was shocked at how many songs from this album I knew. Loved every second. Forget 5/5. This was a 10/10.

Melodrama by Lorde
Feb 07 2026

I don't even need to relisten to this to know it deserves SIX out of five stars. (But I did relisten.) (Because this is her best album.)

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Feb 08 2026

I've enjoyed what I heard from their album Mezzanine, and really enjoy Heligoland, had no idea they’d been in the game for so long. Fun to hear the clear foundation for a lot of electronic music today. Especially the music that leans toward that cinematic feel. Wish I could give half stars so I could give 4.5 instead of 4.

Headquarters by The Monkees
Feb 09 2026

Very very fun. As the “I’m a believer” band I expected this to be more mindless pop and was so happy to see that if I’d been young when this came out it would’ve been on REPEAT. Love when an album just has a bunch of clips the band fucking around in the studio.

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós
Feb 10 2026

They would make an album that was entirely dishwasher sounds and I’d still eat that shit up. 100/10

Astral Weeks by Van Morrison
Feb 11 2026

The music itself was fine but I’m not a huge fan of this dude’s voice.

Club Classics Vol. One by Soul II Soul
Feb 16 2026

Fun! I love anything with a beat that isn't annoying or boring. Checks those boxes easily.

Heartbreaker by Ryan Adams
Feb 19 2026

For as much as I'm averse to country I fucking love relatively-contemporary folk music. Calling this genre "alternative country" is so pretentious. Just say folk you cowards.

The New Tango by Astor Piazzolla
Feb 20 2026

I kept forgetting it was a live album until the audience applause would jump-scare me. Not a genre I'd listen to on my own but I'd be a dirty liar if I said I wasn't bouncing around and vibing hard to it.

Rio by Duran Duran
Feb 21 2026

I have tried so hard to like their music over the years. I don't know what I'm missing. Maybe the part of the human brain that develops an appreciation for this particular brand of 80s synth-pop never finished cooking for me. Meh

Dry by PJ Harvey
Feb 22 2026

Once again, I wish we could do half stars so I could give it 3 and a half. I've liked some stuff I've heard from her, but hadn't heard anything from this album and am a smidge disappointed with it, but it was still a good vibe.

Djam Leelii by Baaba Maal
Feb 23 2026

It started off strong and I thought I'd have at least a 4 star review here, but I was less of a fan of the second half of the album. Every goddamn guitar strum was a 10/10 though.

Pearl by Janis Joplin
Feb 24 2026

It was somehow exactly like I expected but also nothing like I expected.

Beyond Skin by Nitin Sawhney
Feb 25 2026

I love when an album feels like it's own movie. This was a 4.5 for me but I'm giving it a 5 because whatever.

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
Feb 26 2026

Is it an iconic album? Yes. Is it objectively good? Also yes. Do I despise the sight and sound of MJ? Again: yes. This is a generous three.

Feb 28 2026

I’ll never not laugh my ass off at the song Girlfriend in a Coma. I will also never be able to take Morrissey seriously no matter how many sadboy songs he sings/pens.

Life Thru A Lens by Robbie Williams
Mar 01 2026

Love this album cover. I've heard of him but never listened until today and I'm pleasantly surprised; it sounds pretty similar to a lot of the alt-rock + pop-punk movement that took off in the late 90s/early 00s, so it's interesting to see a glimpse of the precursors of the era.

Space Ritual by Hawkwind
Mar 02 2026

I kept forgetting it was a live album, which is enjoy, since I typically fucking despise live albums. I also typically enjoy when I can't exactly tell where one song ends and another begins, but this one was a bit...much in that regard. Meh. 2.5 rounded up for this one.

Heroes by David Bowie
Mar 03 2026

I can’t believe I’m giving a Bowie album 4 stars.

Scott 2 by Scott Walker
Mar 05 2026

I feel wholly indifferent to it.

Mar 07 2026

Love how solid of a listen this is. Didn’t think I was in the mood for soul music today but that just goes to prove how much I fucking know.

Mar 08 2026

Do I love soul??? I think I might love soul. Or maybe I just love this album. Much to consider this week.

The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter by The Incredible String Band
Mar 09 2026

Genuinely disappointed that I didn't like this. Sometimes I forget that just because something is innovative, doesn't mean it's good </3

Eagles by Eagles
Mar 10 2026

Liked the 2nd half of the album far more than the first. Maybe 3.5 overall

Devotional Songs by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan
Mar 11 2026

That sure was music. 2.5 I guess

Moving Pictures by Rush
Mar 12 2026

Incredibly showstopping perfect no notes

Disraeli Gears by Cream
Mar 14 2026

Didn’t leave much of an impression but it was better than I thought it would be at least.

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Mar 15 2026

I liked it more than I thought I would, but god was I dreading this listen when I saw that the regular remastered version was over 2 hours and the deluxe was over FOUR hours. Hello?? Sir, enough.

Entertainment by Gang Of Four
Mar 16 2026

I apparently have a soft spot for this type of punky anti-establishment music, because I usually hate the cadence of British talk-rapper music SO much (except for you Charli xcx, who is without fault) but this I didn't mind.

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Mar 17 2026

Really REALLY liked this. Giving it a 4.5 but clicking 5 because god forbid we have the ability to rank more accurately </3

Maggot Brain by Funkadelic
Mar 19 2026

The instant I heard what I thought was Rill Rill by Sleigh Bells playing I was in INSTANT euphoria. I will now be listening to this on repeat since now I know it helped inspire my favorite record of all time.

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Mar 20 2026

I was hoping I'd like this more, but this brand of jazzy soul isn't for me I guess.

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Mar 21 2026

Easiest 5 stars I’ve ever given

Play by Moby
Mar 22 2026

Enjoyed the first half far more than the last. Wish the production value/quality were better. Most of the latter-half songs sounds like pre-recorded cheap keyboard settings.

Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth
Mar 23 2026

It was alright. I enjoy the genre but I thought this would be heavier than it ended up being.

Arular by M.I.A.
Mar 25 2026

Can't believe she's had this crazy of a career trajectory. Was going to give this 4 stars until I remember her actually insane MAGA status. Insane because of who her father is, and also I did NOT realize this album was named after him 💀 Again: literal batshit career AND life trajectory.

Mar 26 2026

Gasped audibly when Corona started since that's the goddamn Jackass intro music and those few strums sent me back decades, mentally. But besides that, meh.

Brown Sugar by D'Angelo
Mar 27 2026

Never saved a song before listening to it before I got to 'Shit, Damn, Motherfucker'. I don't even know if I liked it, but I do respect a song title that funny. Other than catchy refrains this didn't do it for me as much as I hoped.

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Mar 28 2026

This was THEE perfect album to listen to while walking around town, snapping pictures of the scenery. Definitely adding a few of these to my burgeoning 'Beach Music' playlist.

Heaux Tales by Jazmine Sullivan
Mar 29 2026

Really, really loved this concept. I wish it had been a little longer though.

Buffalo Springfield Again by Buffalo Springfield
Mar 30 2026

Forgive me Buffalo Springfield I just think I'm worn out over this genre. I need this game to throw some more curveballs like Heaux Tales or that one that was just ambient noise for an hour.

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Mar 31 2026

I mean. It was fine. I'm just so sick of the 60s pleaseee dear godddddd please go back to the 80s. Or something more contemporary. I want more R&B or genres that aren't 60s rock. Please for the love of god @ this game

Berlin by Lou Reed
Apr 01 2026

Me: give me a genre that isn't the 60s This game: *adds 4 years and spits in my face*

Station To Station by David Bowie
Apr 02 2026

I'm going to go ahead and declare that it should be against the rules to put more than one album by the same artist on this list. Queen doesn't count because Queen is good. Edit: is this album fine? Yeah. But still, I'm sick of this dude.

Apr 03 2026

This album reminded me that I don’t listen to nearly enough old school hip hop. Also had no clue this was where Flavor Flav came from. 3.5 but I’ll round up because why not?

Eliminator by ZZ Top
Apr 04 2026

Can’t believe it’s taken me this long to listen to a Zz top album.

Halcyon Digest by Deerhunter
Apr 05 2026

Genuinely SHOCKED this album is on here. Or this band. What’s going on who made this list.

Emperor Tomato Ketchup by Stereolab
Apr 06 2026

Good zone out music but I couldn’t tell you if it were good or not

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
Apr 07 2026

Okay lowkey enjoyed this a lot.

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
Apr 10 2026

I think Ill definitely like this more after a 2nd listen-through.

Apr 11 2026

Liked it a lot more than I was expecting to. I also cannot believe it took me this long to realize where the fuck Free Bird came from. Whatever. How was I supposed to know a Lynyrd Skynyrd song was the source of that joke?

The Grand Tour by George Jones
Apr 12 2026

For someone who is picky about country music I thought this was pretty nice. I wish I could give it a 3.5 but oh well.

Machine Head by Deep Purple
Apr 13 2026

There's something about hearing that annoying Musical Theater™️ type voice overtop of an electric guitar that really does not do it for me. Sir why are we over-annunciating. Isn't this is supposed to be rock music? They earned the 3rd star only because of Smoke on the Water.

Abraxas by Santana
Apr 14 2026

Is it mean to say this album bored the fuck out of me. I’m saying wake-up-from-a-beach-nap-to-turn-it-off levels of boring.

Mothership Connection by Parliament
Apr 15 2026

Now THAT's what a call a goddamn ALBUM!!! I would rather listen to solely concept albums for the rest of my life. I'm sick of this boring mixtape shit where songs sound either vaguely related or just like they were stapled together so they could sell a stupid little album. A want a goddamn THEME a STORY a VIBE!!!!!

Aja by Steely Dan
Apr 16 2026

I liked it more than I thought I would but no where near as much as John Mulaney apparently does.

Clube Da Esquina by Milton Nascimento
Apr 17 2026

This album is doing is what that Santana album THOUGHT it was doing. Sorry Carlos, the Brazilians win this round of "latin music with weird mixed production that makes my brain somehow still enjoy itself." I am once again wishing I could grant half stars so I could give this a proper 3.5

A Seat at the Table by Solange
Apr 19 2026

It's so annoying to finally listen to an album you've been meaning to check out for 10 years only to realize it kind of super sucks. This would be 2 stars but it does bring a smile to my face to think about Solange beating the shit out of Jay-Z in that elevator, so she gets 3 stars for throwing hands like the true ride or die bitch she is.

The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
Apr 20 2026

They better stop putting this damn band on here. This was literally no better than the last album. The 2nd star is for There is a Light That Never Goes Out and for all the heavy lifting it did for depressed internet teens 20 years ago.

Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
Apr 21 2026

I was so nervous when I saw this was a 45 minute 4-song album but holy shit. I loved this. Shoutout to the first track for inspiring a song on Lemonade. I’d give this 4.5 if I could.

War by U2
Apr 22 2026

Damn. Loved this actually. Sorry U2 I was not familiar with your game.

Ramones by Ramones
Apr 23 2026

Awwww yeaaahhhhhhhh let’s fucking gooooo

Raw Like Sushi by Neneh Cherry
Apr 24 2026

I wish I didn't detest the sound of 97% of old school rap. It's just so annoying to meeeeeeeeee. There was at least like, 2 tolerable songs though, and I simply have to respect the fact that without this type of shit walking (crawling, truly) then the Actual Good Stuff of 00s-onward wouldn't exist today. Thank you for your service Neneh, I hope I never hear your voice ever again.

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Apr 25 2026

Fellas is it gay to talk about getting your balls gargled with the homies? What about commiserating over how cool your dick looks? No, no it's not like you're WAITING for someone to finally ask to see it or anything no it's not that at all it's just totally normal regular Real G type shit, OBVIOUSLY. That was REFRESHING.

Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
Apr 26 2026

Oh thank god I've been waiting for a great album. Radiohead I owe you my life.

Metal Box by Public Image Ltd.
Apr 27 2026

My favorite parts were the parts when just the instruments were doing their thang and that guy wasn’t fucking ‘singing’.

Back At The Chicken Shack by Jimmy Smith
Apr 28 2026

I loved the first song so much that it wasn't until the 3rd song that I realized I was being tricked into enjoying jazz. But this jazz doesn't suck, so, whatever.

Tank Battles by Dagmar Krause
Apr 29 2026

I simply do not care for it

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Apr 30 2026

A nice pop album is always so refreshing after being forced to listen to hours of dogshit.

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
May 01 2026

Yeah yeah it was fine but did it have to be so long

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
May 03 2026

That’s was better than I was expecting tbh

Talking Book by Stevie Wonder
May 04 2026

First time listening to a Stevie Wonder album. Loved this

Bad by Michael Jackson
May 05 2026

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I don't care if his music is good or if he's an "icon" I'm sick of listening to men who've fucked kids on this stupid gameeeeeeeeeeee

1984 by Van Halen
May 06 2026

I don’t know why I thought this would be a harder rock but I guess it’s because I’ve never gone out of my way to listen to Van Halen. I could listen to these bitches shred for days

Live At Leeds by The Who
May 07 2026

My hatred for live albums at war with my love for the who…..why couldn’t it have been a non-live albummmmm. I’m still giving it 4 because they deserve but god I cannot properly word how horribly I hate live albums.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters by Fiona Apple
May 08 2026

This might be my least favorite of her albums and it definitely does not deserve the 4 stars I’m giving it but I feel as if I need to in order to balance out all the other bad reviews/ratings out there. fiona apple has never done anything wrong ever and I think we should give her a gun and set her loose in hollywood for a few days

In Rainbows by Radiohead
May 09 2026

alright this is my favorite of their albums because I’m a filthy little millennial who doesn’t give a flying (nor a sedentary) fuck about what the critics say so you can go ahead and blame thom yorke for giving this opening song to twilight as what is hands-down the most iconic closing credits scene of all time (close your eyes and imagine me pushing ‘don’t you (forget about me)’ down a flight of very very tall stairs. then I spit on it for good measure)

May 10 2026

Sorry U2 I was not familiar with your game

The Dreaming by Kate Bush
May 11 2026

I understand that she is an icon. I acknowledge that under any other circumstance, I may give this album 4 or even 5 stars. But if it weren't for the fact that I've heard her most popular songs approximately 30,000 times each, these songs would be downright intolerable to me. Even having heard her more popular songs a kajillion times, which I DO enjoy, I cannot STAAAAAAND her voice. It's nails on a chalkboard to me. Reminds me of Marina Diamandis' voice where she sounds find when singing Normally and at a lower register, but the instant she gets loud you want to be like "shhhhhhhhush. shut up. hush. quiet. sing like a normal person or be quiet"

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
May 12 2026

I mean, nothing groundbreaking here but I do enjoy hearing a good singing voice after having to listen to Kate Bush wail for an hour.

Very by Pet Shop Boys
May 13 2026

The entire time I listened to this album I could NOT get over the fact that the lead singer here sounds EERILY similar to Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie. Scarily similar voices. So I pretty much listened to this, imagining Death Cab was going retro and enjoyed it HUGELY baby.

The Specials by The Specials
May 14 2026

Not going to lie I definitely thought ska music was a 90s creation and now I feel like a big dumb idiot baby fool. I love stupid dancey shit like this.

Duck Rock by Malcolm McLaren
May 15 2026

This album was so goddamn fun. I wish I could give it 4.5 but this will have to suffice.

Morrison Hotel by The Doors
May 16 2026

Meh, it was fine. Nothing too significant or special here.

Elephant Mountain by The Youngbloods
May 17 2026

Decent enough to listen to, but nothing really stood out as fantastic. I do enjoy when a band full of people who can play a kajillion instruments doesn’t use all of them all the time. This would be 3.5 if I could.

Tical by Method Man
May 18 2026

Better than I thought it would be. Favorite of anything from 90s hip hop that we’ve heard, by far.

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
May 19 2026

Every time I hear the chain my brain goes "The Chain is worth at LEAST three babies" https://redbelles.tumblr.com/post/684365701636603904/this-is-immensely-funny-to-me

Nilsson Schmilsson by Harry Nilsson
May 20 2026

Loved how delightfully different this was.

Fly Or Die by N.E.R.D
May 21 2026

Interesting to see the Lab that created and then set leash Pharrell and inflicted him upon the rest of the world. I do not believe they have been held accountable for that crime against music and guess I have a new cause to fight for. I am astonished that an album that is so sonically upbeat can be so goddamn boring. I was going to give this a two before I realized how annoyed it was going to make me to give this a two. Pharrell owes me that hour of my life back.

Funeral by Arcade Fire
May 23 2026

I feel bad for not giving this 5 stars since I LOVE Arcade Fire but in no way is this there best album, so. Justice for The Suburbs.

May 24 2026

Can't believe I've never heard of this because I really fucking loved it.

At Mister Kelly's by Sarah Vaughan
May 27 2026

While I don't like jazz I DO love when a woman can fucken SANG

Crosby, Stills & Nash by Crosby, Stills & Nash
May 29 2026

my only takeaway from this was "yeah these guys' voices sure sound good together"

Dirt by Alice In Chains
May 30 2026

somehow I always an thrown off by how different alice in chains sounds in comparison to their reputation. simultaneously Softer than I always expect in terms of rock but also harder than what sounds good for their whole Thing. anyways the guitar was good

21 by Adele
May 31 2026

adele I would die for you. please let me die for you

Lady Soul by Aretha Franklin
Jun 01 2026

bad bitch, queen shit, icon

Is This It by The Strokes
Jun 02 2026

hate how much I unironically love this album

Horses by Patti Smith
Jun 03 2026

okay that fucked hard

Roger the Engineer by The Yardbirds
Jun 04 2026

it's so funny seeing a killer blues song paired with the picture of these children, these absolute INFANTS on the album cover. keep rocking, you funky little baby faces

It's Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Jun 05 2026

god they are the Perfect band, truly

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Jun 06 2026

Better than the last one, which surprised me. But there's still something missing for me with her stuff. Sadly.

Brutal Youth by Elvis Costello
Jun 07 2026

I don't know what it is about this man that is so... weirdly charming? Even when half of my brain can acknowledge "this song is boring" the other half is so enamored with the fact that you can hear him putting his whole pussy into it. He is going all in. Having a fucking ball. And then every now and then you do get a song that is both fun and good. This is a rounded up 3.5. I don't think I understand Elvis Costello, but he compels me though...

Crime Of The Century by Supertramp
Jun 08 2026

God that was such a good listen. I want to shake the creators of this list and be like "SEE? YOU GUYS CAN PICK GOOD ALBUMS FROM THE 70s!!! THEY DON'T ALL HAVE TO BE REPETITIVE HORSE SHIT!!!! CONGRATS BOYS NOW BE A DEAR AND KEEP PUTTING SHIT LIKE THIS" but for all I know the idiots who made this list are like. Dead or something.

Court And Spark by Joni Mitchell
Jun 09 2026

Liked the songwriting more than the actual music

British Steel by Judas Priest
Jun 10 2026

How is THIS heavy metal???? I think I just don't understand what constitutes since the screamy-scream bands of the 00s have truly skewed that meter. Anyways, loved it.

OK by Talvin Singh
Jun 11 2026

's fine

Justified by Justin Timberlake
Jun 12 2026

I cannot comprehend how a Justin Timberlake album (any of them at all) made this list. You could've just listed any late 90s R&B album and it would've been both Better and More Fun to listen to. I don't want to listen to this babyface talk about wanting to fuck. Nobody wants that. Can't believe how much airtime so many of these songs got.

Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears
Jun 13 2026

Nice of Tears for Fears to put this nice lesbian couple on their cover

Raw Power by The Stooges
Jun 14 2026

Some gay British child prayed for their Barbie doll to come to life and the monkeys paw curled

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Jun 16 2026

Jazz is booringggggggggg

The Slim Shady LP by Eminem
Jun 17 2026

While I'll never understand the "no, no Slim Shady is a character so it's FINE that he talks about murdering his ex all the time" crowd, I have to admit that this was a little fun. Dare I say... good for a concept album.

Let It Be by The Replacements
Jun 19 2026

Oh I loved this SO hard. This album would've altered my brain chemistry had I been a teenager in the 80s.

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Jun 20 2026

I already loved the songs I've heard before from this album but hadn't listened to the full thing before. Loves it.

Post Orgasmic Chill by Skunk Anansie
Jun 21 2026

First of all I can't believe I've never heard of this band before. Secondly, this sounds like the type of music that would make me pause + download the whole album if it came up on my Spotify nowadays. Hell yeah baby.

...And Justice For All by Metallica
Jun 23 2026

Hot take but someone who can shred a guitar like that is infinitely more talented than 99.999% of vocalists on this list.

xx by The xx
Jun 24 2026

another album the tumblr teens owe their lives to

C'est Chic by CHIC
Jun 25 2026

Safe As Milk by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band
