Album Summary

The ArchAndroid is the debut studio album by American singer and songwriter Janelle Monáe, released on May 18, 2010, by Wondaland Arts Society, Bad Boy Records, and Atlantic Records. Production for the album took place at Wondaland Studios in Atlanta and was primarily handled by Monáe, Nate "Rocket" Wonder, and Chuck Lightning, with only one song without production by Monáe. She also collaborated for certain songs with Saul Williams, Big Boi, of Montreal, and Deep Cotton. The album is composed of the second and third parts to Monáe's Metropolis concept album series. Incorporating conceptual elements of Afrofuturism and science fiction, The ArchAndroid continues the series' fictional tale of a messianic android and features lyrical themes of love, identity, and self-realization. Critical commentaries have compared the album to the works of David Bowie, Outkast, Prince and Michael Jackson. The ArchAndroid debuted at number 17 on the US Billboard 200, selling 21,000 copies in its first week, while charting modestly in several other countries. Monáe promoted the album with the release of two singles – "Tightrope" and "Cold War" – and concert tours in 2010 and 2011. A widespread critical success, The ArchAndroid received praise for its thematic concepts and Monáe's eclectic musical range. It later ranked among 2010's best albums in many critics lists and earned the singer a Grammy Award nomination for Best Contemporary R&B Album.

Length: All Short Long

Impressively ambitious and creative, especially for a debut. Not really my cup of tea, but I have to recognize the quality of songwriting and production.

Janelle Monae is an obvious music enjoyer, but I can't say I enjoyed this music. Reminds me of one of those auteur films set in and around Hollywood or LA, where there's pleasure to be had in watching an artist who really loves this stuff mess around with the history and the forms, but which ultimately leaves one a bit cold precisely because of its insularity. It feels virtuosic while having little to say beyond that virtuosity (or perhaps having little to say because of it, being lost somewhat in the sauce of its own creation). Strong Jacob Collier vibes, but slightly better lyrics.

#261 Heard Before? Yup, but not since it came out. Notes: - is anyone cooler than Janelle Monae? nope. - for a vocal pop album, the vocals very often get lost in the very busy mix. - if i believed in such a thing as too many ideas, this album would be a key example. - even completely ignoring the lyrics as i usually do, it took me several listens to really get what was going on. worth it, though. - even when the hooks are lacking, the strength of the arrangements and performances holds it together. Verdict: Deliriously ambitious if not necessarily inventive. Janelle earns every last bit of her star power here, and still leaves me wanting more of her. Listen Again? Maybe not the whole thing, but it's sent me scurrying back to her other albums, all excellent, if not quite as much of a wild ride as this.

I can appreciate the ambition here, and there are some genuinely interesting ideas, but The ArchAndroid just isn’t for me. It’s stylish, theatrical and impressively put together, but I found myself admiring it more than actually enjoying it. Not bad by any means, just not something I’d choose to put on again.

Talented and eclectic with undeniable ability. A very pleasant listen

On this album is really wide range of styles and thats what I love about this. Make The bus sounded like Mother Mother meets Mindless Self Indulgence and that's something what I wouldn't expect from this. Immediately I saw that album cover I was like "Wait doesn't she play in Glass onion?" And yessss she does. I was vibing whole way through this album and it rules.

Talent and clearly not a one hit wonder. A welcome album after a die too many duds.

This is an interesting album, it has some solid songs and unlike most R&B albums, is not all slow jams. I'd listen again.

I hear the talent, the album is beautiful in places, I’m glad I listened to it, it’s just not my thing.

I put this on without any idea what was coming my way. I wasn't expecting an orchestral album from 2010, but it was good so settled down with interest. But I was wrong, track 2 came along and it turned out it was a rap album with one of those interesting introduction tracks. Now I'm disappointed as it's a genre I particularly dislike. I'm following my rules, and I don't skip or abandon the album, so then track 3 hits, Faster, and now I don't know what's really going on. We're onto the third style of the album, some artists don't span this many styles in their entire career, nevermind within the first 3 tracks of their debut album. It's a beautiful and wonderful album. Such an amazing singer with rich, full, songs. Only partially through my second listen and it's just getting better.

Interesting disco concept album, but not worth repeated listens

I enjoyed this more than expected, real soul/rib flavor behind the pop. The second part of this album is very different, can’t decide which I liked better. Either way, great surprise today! 3.5/5

Sounds like the free cassette that came with mom and dad's minivan back in the '80s. Completely unoffensive, unimaginative music to give just a little bit of a test to the speakers.

634/1089 - Sounds a bit like Hiatus Kaiyote which I like, I wonder if she was an influence on them. Very eclectic and well done. The robot/voice effect works most of the time when it's implemented and the arrangements are both surprising and well executed. Lots of traces of past artists in this from Simon and Garfunkel to Outkast to Bowie to Debussy.

The ArchAndroid is the sort of ambitious concept album that you rarely see anymore, especially in the post millennium music industry. Janelle Monáe skillfully blends Afrofuturism, science fiction, progressive soul, and alternative R&B into something you've most likely never heard before. I mean, just read that last sentence again. As someone experiencing this record for the first time, The ArchAndroid is mind-blowing, and that's not an exaggeration. In the modern age of pre-packaged, cookie cutter music, Janelle Monáe dodged those traps and made something truly special in the process. It's a shame we don't get more "Wow!" moments like this in contemporary music.

I wasn't sure what to expect, as all I knew from Janelle Monae was her contribution to We Are Young by Fun. Turns out this was excellent. There's such a unique and full sound to this record. Her voice soars where it needs to and is staccato in the right spots as well. The songs are intricate and diverse, crossing a variety of genres. But regardless of the style, they are always robust. While I am not going to sit here and say I would listen to all of these songs again, nor would I say that this is my favorite thing ever, this album is objectively great. Plus, I just discovered Cold War, which my son's show choir used recently in their performances (never knew who sang it). Great track. An amazing record.

I have generally a positive impression of Janelle Monae. The Of Montreal collab with the kind of Bowie impression was really a surprise here. The songs are pretty eclectic and polished. I have a criticism of the dynamics of the recordings. Maybe its overly compressed? I don't really know it just feels like there's no low-end and a lot of tracks seem to sit on top of eachother in the mix. I don't know what I'm talking about and I don't have a prescription to fix it. More dynamic range so that drums and bass can be loud?

I really haven't listened to Janelle Monae before. I knew her music is more experimental going in beforehand. And this album does take some experimental swings with almost all of them hitting. There were some seamless transitions between songs, would be cool if it was with every song. With the exception of a song or 2, I would actually give this album a full relisten. A cool tid-bit that I figured out looking at her discography is that the dots correlate to the Suite Overtune number on the album. 1.) Suite II Overture: Was surprised to hear a symphony and choir. Sounds like something that would be in Atlantis: The Lost Empire. 2.) Dance or Die: I like the beat and spoken word. Not gonna lie, had to have the lyrics up so I could follow since its a fast rap cadence. 3.) Faster: I like the upbeat and funky sound fo this one. 4.) Locked Inside: This one has a catchy chorus. Almost has a Michael Jackson sounding melody right before the chorus. 5.) Sir Greenwood: A slower-paced song, honestly passed me by in the background. 6.) Cold War: A more pop-sounding upbeat song. 7.) Tightrope: Another pop-sounding song that has a 2010s sound. A good Big Boi feature. I really like how she utilizes brass in her songs. 8.) Neon Gumbo: Not a fan of the sound of rewound speaking. Makes me feel like I'm in Twin Peaks, in not a good way (if there is a good way). I will say it was fun looking at the lyrics and reading it backwards (shows how fun of a person I am) 9.) Oh, Maker: Kinda sounds like a Simon & Garfunkel cover at first. Gets funkier though. 10.) Come Alive: This sounds like a Halloween pop-rock song. Not a fan of her screaming. Its impressive to hold it for that long but for some reason its not hitting with me. 11.) Mushrooms & Roses: Had to skip this one. I know the theme of this album is a robot love ballad but not a fan of the voice modulator she used on this one. Otherwise, a great song but was too much for me. 12.) Suite III Overture: Always here for the symphony. I liked how they tied in melodies from Sir Greenwood into it. 13.) Neon Valley Street: I like the smooth transition in this song. Good variations in this song. 14.) Make The Bus: Wasn't feeling this one. Its a bit too experimental for my mood right now. 15.) Wondaland: At first I wasn't feeling this one but it did grow on me. The falcetto reminded me of another song but I can't remember which one. 16.) 57821: I like this one. This almost reminds me of Fleet Foxes. 17.) Say You'll Go: This is a fine song. Nothing too much going on in the beginning. Has a Clair de Lune rendition at the end with a choir sounding effect. Almost feels like the final scene in The Shining when they show that banquet photo. 18.) BaBopByeYa: These feels like a modern-version of a jazz vocal piece at first, has a cool transition that gives it an almost a samba sound it. Really good closing song.

This was a horrible experience… a culmination of all that was bad about the transition from 2000’s to the 2010’s

High quality

Album has pretty much everything in it (literally), just more strange than it is enjoyable most of the time. Fun and experimental

6/10 - Just couldn’t stay invested. Some good moments and I love Big Boi coming in, but it failed to hold my attention.

The ArchAndroid is a glitzy, dynamic realization of Janelle Monáe's Afrofuturist vision through a combination of Pop, Alternative, RnB, New Wave, Funk, Indie, Soul, and just about anything else she wants to include. The result is conceptually grand, while giving itself to a multitude of excellent songs. The features are fascinating too, with Saul Williams and Of Montreal being of particular interest. There's a lot to say about this that I won't get into. But I thoroughly enjoyed this, and have Nothing but admiration the realization of Monáe's vision in here.

This is the sort of album where I want a week to dissect it, not just a day. It's a Big album - theatrical, maximalist, ambitious - without coming off as too pretentious or grating. It's a huge array of genres but there's a common thread that ties them together in a way that a lot of concept albums don't quite pull off. The influences are clear - plenty of Prince, Outkast, Bowie, but also Broadway, jazz, and more traditional pop and hip hop. Cold War in particular sounds like they just stripped the vocals from an Outkast track and wrote a new song over the top, and obviously Big Boi pops up on Tightrope. She pulls off Prince and Bowie very well, and I'm not especially fond of either artist. The album drags a little in the back third but I always lose interest when an album goes over an hour. I'm torn between a 4 and a 5 here, and while I think one more banger like Cold War would really cinch it, I'll give them the 5. Especially given the slog of inessential Brit pop and mediocre 60s rock I've been getting lately.

Theatre kid album (derogatory)

This was an incredibly well produced album with a coherent story and lovely callbacks between each song. At the same time each track is its own thing and had intricate ways of integrated many different styles and genres. It was absolutely incredible and I loved it so, so much.

I... wow. I don't even know where to begin. Janelle's voice, the production, the creativity, everything about this album completely blew me away. When I went into this I thought it was going to be some standard R&B, but this... this is otherwordly. There's no other word to describe this. Loved every second of it and will listen to this more often. This was a piece of art through and through.

#255 - I should preface I knew nothing of Janelle Monae before this. I think she was featured on that Fun song "We Are Young" back in the day, but I couldn't make her out. This album surprised me and I could not place what I was hearing as I listened to this a couple of times. Vocally it was amazing, Janelle hits all kinds of notes. Parts felt like R&B, others felt Jazzy. There are stretches where it all blends together. Like other reviews say, the energy is kept up for most of the album. I didn't like all the styles and all the songs though. Some just were not for me. Some of it feels like a soundtrack to an NBC show. Overall its a good listen though. Biggest Hit - Tightrope Biggest Miss - Make The Bus Hidden Gem - Mushrooms & Roses

The production is stunning and lush, the music is varied, the singing is excellent. And yet...it all feels just shy of coherent as an album. What this project does is show that Monae is an undeniable talent but it isn't quite a magnum opus

Interesting, fun, totally different

Now this is a well-designed concept album. I've listened to this album many times, but it has been a good decade since the last time. The transitions here are so smooth. I love the move between "Dance or Die" and "Faster." I mean, this is like a big dance party moving from R&B, Funk, Hip-Hop, Disco, Latin... Monae becomes more self-indulgent on later albums, but this debut feels like she's just on a fun, exploratory journey. "Sir Greendown" slows it down, showcases some nice vocals and serves as a nice transition to the very personal, emotional, and effective "Cold War" - seriously, try to watch that video without crying. "Tightrope" also has a killer video with some fun choreography. It's amazing how much variety there is from song to song here, but everything still feels related, connected. "Mushrooms and Roses" has a beautiful marriage of 60s psychedelia and Prince-esque funk rock - again, the variety here is astounding. Moving into Suite III, the collab with Of Montreal is very "Of Montreal-ish" - it's a good track, but it takes me out of the world that Monae has created. "Wondaland" may be my favorite track on this album. Then we get this ethereal folk ballad in "57821" - it just kills me when that bass-line kicks in in the 2nd verse - and I'm a sucker for the big mallet deep bass drum thumps. Ahh - and then the Debussy at the end of the already gorgeous "Say You'll Go" - c'mon! And then - Janelle just slays the vocal performance on this closer. I love this album. 5 stars all day.

It was cruisin for 3 stars but then it turned out to to bloated slog of an album.

An album so good it *almost* earns its seventy (70) minute runtime. I get that its technically two albums, but when you really think about it, its one album because I had to listen to it in one sitting. 4.5/5

gaat beetje alle kanten uit... paar goeie nummers, de klassieke en de rockers... de poppy songs mochten gerust achterwege gelaten worden, maar dan was het maar een EP

This is an awesome inter-genre album. Just excellent composition throughout, worth listening again.

Wow, this album blew me away! I didn’t know what to expect and honestly I still don’t quite know what happened, but I do know that I loved it. Some amazing talent with everyone who worked on this album. What a beautiful, creative voice.

Dont really know what to say about this one, like the kids of today says: it's 6-7

A kaleidoscope of sounds that adds up to something indescribably wonderful, even after an hour.

This has been my favourite album since the day it came out. So happy to see it on this list.

There's variance and some cool moments but this is too performative for me and lacks substance.

Dance or Die has a great beat to it after a futuristic Overture, another album with an operatic introduction that portends things to come? Not the hugest fan of electronica but this seems deeper good intricate layering. Vocalist has a nice range like naturally adding mutes or effects to her voice/instrument. This on Faster. Locked inside such a nice groove makes me feel like a summer day. Good bass work moving things along. Like a modern version of a 70s funk band. Sir Greendown in what passes for a ballad. It was just OK, would have liked more shaping but this felt like filler on an electronica album and back into Cold War with that blip. For being compared to MJ, Prince, Outkast, and Bowie? In part I suppose. Tightrope blends rap/hip-hop seamlessly into this style nicely! Tight harmonies. Shout the freak out to Hornz Unlimited what a punch in 2010 to still a kickass horn section still kickin it! Oh, Maker back to a 70s feel funk tune in a modern groove. I really like the adaptation of this new style. Come Alive into a swing feel. This album really does have a bit of everything and it all gels so far. This is so not my wheelhouse and I'm liking it. Scream yeah!! Nina Simone lite. Mushrooms and Roses now see that's what I'm talking about, a ballad done in this new style that feels like a complete ballad. Ballad redemption arc complete! Suite III overture are we in the nutcracker suite future style? Neat interlude to break up the pace. I'm worried this album is going to overstay it's welcome. Some tunes on the latter half remind me of a Bond movie with sweeping gestures. John Henry reference which is a so bad it's good movie? TBD Wow, the original lore story for John is heroic and tragic. A deeper meaning to the album. Note to self lyrics alongside would help, like having the sheet music. 57821 a nice almost a capella pause before the wrap-up. 3/4 a nice change of pace. Simon and Garfunk-esque. I would have ended on Say You'll Go, positive melody and chords, good message. Let's see how this plays out. Nice Piano exeunt with the voice floating over the whole, Chopin is that Claire de Lune quoted? Yeah, I would have ended on that rather than BaBopByeYa. Overall great album. I wouldn't listen to it all over again, bookmarked a few good tunes. Would give a 4 for quality and innovation. 3.5? Gotta round up.

It's fine, but ultimately I don't care.

Over det hele. Egentligt nogle ok enkeltstående numre, men det føles ikke som et album. Og hittet har altid skuet mig mod hårene.

Artiste inconnue. Cet album est terriblement long. =>2/5

Pleasantly surprised by this album. Was expecting not to like it as I’m not a fan of R&B but it’s an eclectic mix of many different sounds. I’m not sure how often I’ll come back to it, but there are enough interesting concepts here that I could see myself returning to it at some point.

An alright album that’s pretty listenable if nothing that special. You’ll know Tightrope, and the rest is solid pop music with a bit more pep to it than some other neosoul albums. Overall though, not too much that will live long in the memory.

There are some artists that are very hard to pin down, and Janelle Monae is clearly one of those, this album seems to combine everything from R&B to Classical to Folk. Given the ambition displayed on this album, there was a risk that it could end up feeling overblown, but it never really does, and instead we get a free-flowing collection of very well-written and enjoyable tracks.

This album is so fun! It’s creative, it’s got range, the production and instrumentals on this are great, each track transitions smoothly from one to the next, and even though it’s over an hour long, it doesn’t drag. This one will be on repeat going forward.

wide range of genres, I think I see what she was trying to do, but its not really for me

A very stylish pop album with a distinctive and stylistic sound which is impressive for a debut album. It's a fun listen, but it does get a little too artsy at times. 3.5 stars.

Theatre kid album

Oh yeh! Love this one! She might be the most talented all round performer today! Big shout out to tightrope with Big Boi. Oh my lord what an all time banger

There was something unexplainably really enjoyable about this one. I couldn’t quite classify it. It gave off dance/club vibes and at moments that felt electronica and experimental but it wasn’t quite either of those things. I loved the originality and genre bending. The lyrics were also quite smart.

Listen again

The ArchAndroid is a concept album (I do not check the additional info before listening but it definitely feels so), and I wish there were more if these. The whole record feels like a solid piece of stylistically refined music, a DJ mix if you wish, and in a good sense. Strangely, many records just appear to be a collection of similar, but hectically combined different composition, while this one has this touch of thorough tailoring as to make it united. Now, the strongest part is perhaps the first few tracks. I liked how the album is split into these two parts with overtures (I wonder where Suite I is by the way). The said tracks are beautifully blended into seemingly one with the seamless transitions. Monáe's sense of music is outstanding; many of the songs made me want to dance or at least catch the rhythm. The rhytms on this one are an important part of why The ArchAndroid is to convincing. It goes through a range of genres, the most obvious is probably neosoul, you could notice how it reminisces Jungle or something. It does have pop, many electronic elements, and the culmination of the whole thing is Mushrooms & Roses, a psychedelic roaming and vibrant track. There are several places where the album ceases to feel outstanding and goes to a rather 'okay' tier, however this track finally convinced me to rate the album this high. The track is a stunning masterpiece, nad if I were to make music, this is how I would want it to sound. Later on, in Suite III, the sound goes somewhat slower, at times reminding of The Avalanches' We Will Always You, and very beautifuly with this "nightly" style. So I believe this is indeed an outstanding work. It is also a new name to me; I fancy it is a soundtrack record or something like that, at least I could hear some hints to this here and there. Great music, beautiful vocals, and most importantly, I utterly enjoyed this hour of music. It appears to be one of the albums from the later editions of the 1001 list. Nice pick, happy to have heard it before my death.

What we appear to have here is the debut album from a musical genius. It’s just jaw dropping to start with an overture….on a debut. And then it just grows from there. In a genre I find hard to love it’s amazing work. Solid 4

So many style shifts makes it all seem like. fame academy role play. Insincere.

Welcome antidote to the self-indulgent twittery of the precious album. This one swings for the fences and largely connects. Points for ambition and accessibility.

On paper, even based on concept alone, Janelle Monáe ought to be my jam. In practice, I've never thought any album was better than a 3.5.

I listened to this twice, once asleep and once awake, and it was fantastic both times. I hope she does write a musical someday.

Yeeeah, this is wild stuff but tbh it’s kinda good

A bit bulky maybe.

What a debut! Creative, lively, versatile. The production is a highlight, such gorgeous textures throughout, everything mixed perfectly. The album sets a very high standard for itself in its first half, which it sadly can't sustain later on, but even the worst songs here are very enjoyable. Favourite track: Dance or Die

Loved it! Went in blind and came out a fan

I’ve never really listened to Janelle Monáe before, but this album is good and the songs are nicely varied.

Overall a great album. New to me, but i really like Janelle Monáe and i definitely plan on listening to more of her, and revisiting multiple songs on this album. Really a good introduction with relistenability

I loved it on release and I love it still. I wish she made more music

this was awesome chill vibes. good for studying

A bit weird but in a good way, gives me galactic vibes, very space like if that makes sense, I feel like she’s an alien.

Enjoyed it, not my usual kind of music but i found the album to be super interesting and well made

I only really like one song by this lady, and that’s not on this album, too pop music for me, tough listen really, not much going on…

Perhaps the most consumate pop record of the last five years(as if I were a good judge for that). Monae moves from genre to genre and owns every one. This isn't just pop with influences 'thrown in' or referenced, it literally jumps from funk to hip hop to swing and does it all effortlessly while still maintaining that energy and defiant attitude that lends vitality to the album. See, while Beyonce, as great as she is, goes into her Sasha Fierce persona to put on that glow of dangerousness, Janelle Monae can channel that, even when the record relaxes and geos into more experimental roads on the second half of the album. The track 2-7 progression might be the longest chain of pure genius I've heard in a pop record and as referenced before, the second half really is like a bean bag cushion that works well after you've been through the roller coaster. Basically, the level of versitality Monae brings with one song takes most pop artists one album to even touch.

A very interesting pop album. Lots of good things.

Pulls at a lot of threads, kinda all over the place. Enjoyable enough. Monae has been a fixture in the culture since this album, but I honestly hadn't listened to any full albums before now.

Cool album; really appreciate the variety of genres that Janelle Monáe is able to work into the track listing. The first half of the album has some bops (including Tightrope), but I think I preferred the second half. I don't love the whole thing, but it's good.

When she rocks, I am totally there. When she is ambling down the road, it's good to have on if only for her voice. It isn't groundbreaking to me, more on the competent side of the fence.

Janelle Monáe has a beautiful voice, and there are transcendent moments on this. I struggled to find a foothold, which isn't exactly a criticism so much as reflected in the 3-star review. I think I'd need a bit more time with this to have a real opinion. As it is, I appreciated a lot of what I heard.

i loved the hell out of this. I didn't know she could sing, let alone that she was so adventurous and interesting. This album swept me off my feet. Loved all the various styles she tackled—especially the track that featured Of Montreal. Will definitely look into her other albums.

So glad I had the opportunity to familiarize myself with this. I loved it.

Wow this album blew me away. I don’t know what I was expecting, but I didn’t expect this adventurous, ambitious, and wonderful album. This thing has so many unique sounds but somehow manages to stay cohesive at the same time. I don’t even know what the concept is about yet, I’m sure that will just add another layer to its brilliance. I look forward to diving deeper into this one. It will probably be a 5, but for now it’s a high 4 for me.

Surprising

Honestly coming into it I didn't feel it much, but as the album went on, it grew on me. Very interesting sonically, I liked it!

talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it

3.5/5 - stark

Janelle Monáe - The ArchAndroid (2010) Mostly good, sometimes great. Soul and RnB is not my cup of tea normally but this had some good stuff. The whole concept of this concept album passed me by - something to do with Janelle being an alien ? Standout tracks Dance or Die Tightrope Mushrooms and Roses ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

An album I’ve never listened to before. I’d only known her from her acting, though was aware she was a musical artist. Such an amazingly varied album! Just about every genre of music was here, and most done very well. Standouts were Cold War, Tightrope, and Neon Valley Street, but many other very interesting songs. Another of the “this is why I’m doing this project” albums.

While I can certainly appreciate the incredible ambition and high-quality production that went into The ArchAndroid, it ultimately just isn't my personal style. Janelle Monáe's vision is clear, but the music itself didn't resonate with me.

Well put together, very artistic, however most of the songs were not my taste.

This sounds like if Sun Ra made a hip-hop album with a female vocalist. 4/5

started quite good but then became more or less meh

Starts off extremely strong and falters a bit toward the end, but I still really enjoyed this one. Need a few more listens to really let things sink in.

Not really for me, but not bad! Kind of goes in a lot of different directions. I really liked Sir Greendown though. I may not have ever heard that song if I hadn't listened to this album bc of this site.

6 songs into this album, skipped. Will not listen to the rest. Not for me at all.

This is a special pop/RnB album. Kicking myself for not listening sooner. First half is strong and immediate, while the second half will take more time to appreciate. At over an hour of runtime, there is a lot to chew on here. Looking forward to getting more familiar with it over time. Five stars here for now. Rating: feeling light 9/10

Expected to like this… Started off ok but by the halfway point I was counting down the minutes until this was over

Its got some pizzazz to it
