I've heard of them but thought they were more synth based. This one sounds like there are sonic connections to punk, REM, Talking Heads, New Wave, which all makes sense given 1980.

Not bad but nothing grabbed me and pulled me in. Kind of monotonous 80s redux synth and not much modulation/change/drama.

I like this! Not my normal cup of tea, but some groovy beats, and a range of sounds that keep it interesting.

I mean, c'mon, the king. OK, he borrowed/stole from black musicians heavily, as did so many white musicians. But he did add his own flare, charisma and style, and he poked 'Merica in the face and said, "THIS!".

Great American country tunes! I know El Paso from the Grateful Dead / Bobby versions (RIP Bobby!).

The raw power of the Who on this performance is stunning. Probably not for everyone given how heavy and loud it is, but man they were good live!!

Biased review here ... 5 stars absolutely no doubt. I LOVE Lou Reed. Simple, powerful, cutting edge for 1972, perhaps cutting edge even for 2026 given the current American "situation".

Some all American classics from the swamp blues band from Berkeley, CA. Great song writing and simple but powerful delivery.

Meh, when the 80s brought us the compressed sounds of banging pots and pans a la depeche mode, I ran the other way. Not saying this is bad music, just not my cup of tea.

This is a good album. But I feel like it is a bit of a hodge podge collection of varied ideas and less cohesive than their earlier single disc works. Probably because the guys were going their separate ways.
