Good, but I don't anticipate revisiting this.

Enjoyable but not much that sticks with me.

So by Peter Gabriel
Mar 02 2026

It’s cheating for one album to have Sledgehammer, Big Time, and In Your Eyes.

1999 by Prince
Mar 03 2026

Starts strong and fades into meh.

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Mar 04 2026

Good but nothing that sticks with me.

#1 Record by Big Star
Mar 05 2026

It felt a little too generic for my tastes.

Headquarters by The Monkees
Mar 06 2026

Fun and enjoyable, but not my jam. I can tell they tried hard to get away from their early image.

Mar 07 2026

Few albums are pure art. This is one of them. The transition between Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and With a Little Help From My Friends gives me chills every time.

Histoire De Melody Nelson by Serge Gainsbourg
Mar 08 2026

Art does not exist in a vacuum. I don’t think you can objectively evaluate the music without considering the story it tells. And the story here is reprehensible. This album tells the story of a middle aged man raping a child. It’s a stain on this site to include it.

Synchronicity by The Police
Mar 10 2026

Good except that one weird Mother song.

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
Mar 12 2026

Really good. Makes me want to explore the blues more.

A Love Supreme by John Coltrane
Mar 14 2026

Good background jazz but didn’t hit home with me.

Orbital 2 by Orbital
Mar 15 2026

I liked it a lot but I know this won’t be for everyone. It sounds very much like Trent Reznor’s film score work.

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Mar 17 2026

Good but outstays its welcome. Would be much better with a tighter edit.

The Scream by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Mar 18 2026

I liked this a lot. This era of punk is so important to the genre as a whole.

Let's Get Killed by David Holmes
Mar 19 2026

Good, but not as good as his big beat contemporaries.

Olympia 64 by Jacques Brel
Mar 20 2026

Perfect as background music for a Parisian cafe. Nothing I really care to listen to purposefully.

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Mar 21 2026

It’s kind of amazing that some members of this band are responsible for “We Built This City.”

A Seat at the Table by Solange
Mar 23 2026

I don't listen to much R&B but this album is great. Soothing, soulful, comforting.

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Mar 24 2026

This album has stayed with me since college. Every song is good, if not great.

Dig Me Out by Sleater-Kinney
Mar 26 2026

I wish I knew about Sleater-Kinney in high school. Such great 90s era punk.

Make Yourself by Incubus
Mar 27 2026

Another high note from my high school years.

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Mar 28 2026

Very good if not great. A bit more depressing and somber than I typically care for.

Imperial Bedroom by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Mar 29 2026

Hadn’t heard this album from Costello before. Lots of good stuff but I need to give it a re-listen.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Mar 31 2026

It takes real skill and artistry to make the flute a viable rock n' roll instrument.

...The Dandy Warhols Come Down by The Dandy Warhols
Apr 01 2026

I listened to this band a lot in college and had somehow forgotten them. Great stuff and it is a real toe-tapper.

Femi Kuti by Femi Kuti
Apr 02 2026

Better than Fela. Still not my preference though.

Tommy by The Who
Apr 04 2026

Good for a rock opera but too long for regular enjoyment.

Apr 07 2026

At first glance this looks to be a goofy period piece, but it ended up being way better than I thought it would.

Permission to Land by The Darkness
Apr 08 2026

Ok. I wanted to like the more than I did.

Freak Out! by The Mothers Of Invention
Apr 09 2026

Pretty bad really.

Melodrama by Lorde
Apr 10 2026

Not sure if I like this or Pure Heroine more. Regardless, it’s a very good record.

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett
Apr 11 2026

Surprised at how much I liked this. Definitely will be revisiting this one.

Rip It Up by Orange Juice
Apr 13 2026

Weirdly smooth and fun to listen to.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Apr 15 2026

If I grew up in the 60s and was on LSD, then I'd like this. But I didn't, and I'm not, so I don't.

Apr 16 2026

I know I’m supposed to like this more but it just sounds like another band emulating The Beatles.

Ok but not for me.

I Am a Bird Now by Antony and the Johnsons
Apr 19 2026

Not into vocal warbles.

Heroes by David Bowie
Aug 11 2026
Aug 12 2026

Ambient music really does something for my mind. There is a way it manages to sooth my anxiety, quiet the noise, and lets me melt into the vibes and feelings in ways that few other music genres manage. It isn't for everyone, but it really works for me.
