Seven Nation Army is the best song on the album
Metallica
5/5
One of my top 10 favorite albums ever
Elliott Smith

Not my style of music, but not bad. I wouldn't have listened to it without this project though.
Alice In Chains
3/5
Not a fan of Alice in Chains, still not a bad album.
Blondie
3/5
Not a bad album. I like Blondie but have never heard more than the hits.
Various Artists
4/5
Elvis Presley
4/5
Love Elvis. In my top 10 for sure and with a few of his great songs, I like this album.
Kate Bush
2/5
Whiney voice and really not my style at all. Gets weird at points
Incubus
3/5
I like more than I thought I would. I also knew more songs than I thought I would. Overall good album. Glad I listened to it.
Neil Young & Crazy Horse
2/5
And now I know why I am not a big fan of Neil Young.
GZA
3/5
Hanoi Rocks
2/5
Meh. Average at best. Don' know why this is on this list. If I had never heard it, I would still feel completed in my music repertoire.
2/5
Good, but not really good. Even their cover of Satisfaction wasn't really satisfying. Definitely an acquired taste.
Fugazi
1/5
How did this make the list? I am not a fan. I am sure someone out there likes this band, but not me.
Stan Getz
3/5
Jazz isn't normally my thing, but this is really good and glad I got a chance to enjoy it which I wouldn't have done without this coming up on the list.
The Rolling Stones
3/5
Good album. More bluesy sounding than I expected. Symphony for the Devil is a classic and love hearing that song.
Dwight Yoakam
1/5
Not a fan
Aimee Mann

She isn't a bad singer, but also not a special voice.
New York Dolls
3/5
I listened to it. It was okay
Arcade Fire
3/5
Not too bad. I like it.
Gorillaz
4/5
Damn I love Gorillaz and this album is a major reason why. All the songs are great not just Clint Eastwood.
Simon & Garfunkel
3/5
I like the album. I just can't help but think about the Family Guy episode where Peter and Quagmire made a folk music duo. Simon and Garfunkel are definitely legends and awesome together.
Dire Straits
4/5
Great album. Of course, I like the two big hits from this album, but the rest of the songs are awesome as well.
Emerson, Lake & Palmer
3/5
Hmm, didn't know what to expect, but not bad.
Television

Yep, that is an album. Guess it just isn't my taste.

Awesome
Gang Starr
4/5
I liked it.
Rod Stewart
3/5
It's Rod Stewart of course it will be good and it was.
The Blue Nile
3/5
Good album. Only 7 songs show the limitations of the time when this was released. Never heard of the band, but Tinsel Town in the Rain had a ton of listens and I do agree it is worth listening to at least once.
Jorge Ben Jor
3/5
Impressive album. I really liked it. Music really is universal. Even with the language barrier I seriously enjoyed this album.
Kanye West
3/5
Its Kayne. He is super talented and the album is great. However, I wouldn't have listened to it had I not been doing this project.

Merle Haggard
3/5
Steely Dan

LCD Soundsystem

Stephen Stills
1/5
Really? I never had to listen to this and I would have been infinitely happier.
The Psychedelic Furs
1/5
Yep, they put out an album and I have unfortunately listened to it.
Songhoy Blues
3/5
Very cool
Pulp

Saint Etienne
2/5
Meh
Supergrass
3/5

I appreciate he is a legend, but this just does nothing for me. I couldn't wait for the album to end. Sorry, but not even going to pretend that I thought this was a good album.
Adele
3/5
Good album. Surprised I liked as much as I did.
Depeche Mode
3/5
Not bad.
Screaming Trees
3/5

I like them. A little bit of a Beatles vibe.
Foo Fighters
5/5
5 stars and haven't even listened to it yet. But I will because I absolutely love the Foo Fighters.

Song 2 is the best song on the album otherwise, this isn't that great a album.
Billie Holiday
3/5
She has a classic, beautiful voice and a pleasure to listen to. Very nice album.
The B-52's
4/5
Rock Lobster is a very interesting song and I am here for it. Overall a very enjoyable album and definitely a prime example of The B-52's music style. 4 stars for sure.

The Auteurs
2/5
meh
Tracy Chapman
3/5
Absolutely a legend, but just not my genre of music.
Led Zeppelin
5/5
This album is hit after hit and absolutely amazing. Led Zepplin is easily one of the best bands ever. 5 stars and if there was an option to give more I would.
John Lennon
3/5
It's John Lennon. Good record. Liked him better with the Beatles though.
The Isley Brothers
4/5

Serge Gainsbourg
2/5
Short and sweet, but totally wasted on me. Interesting music though.
Nirvana
3/5
I used to absolutely love Nirvana, but the pure amount of over exposure of this band has changed how I feel about them.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
5/5
Love Tom Petty. Just a great talent and a group that I have come to really like. Sad that he passed away. 5 stars because it's a great album.
Lucinda Williams
1/5
Ugh, this album is depressing and really whiney. Big nope for me. Somehow, I suffered through the entire album. This is the thing I feared the most doing this project: an album that is horrible and only added to the list because they need 1001 of them. Makes me wonder if the curator of the list is some how related to this performer and included her out of pity. Man, I really dislike this album. Wish I could give negative stars.
Van Halen
5/5
VAN HALEN!!! 5 STARS!!! NO DOUBT!!!!
Arcade Fire
4/5
I really like Arcade Fire. This is a good album and worth 4 stars.

R.E.M.
3/5
It's okay. I like R.E.M. enough to appreciate them.
Joanna Newsom
2/5
Ugh, more whiney singing. Guess it is not in my wheelhouse. Sorry not sorry for not liking this album. 1 star maybe 2 stars if I am feeling generous tomorrow.
Aretha Franklin
5/5
Just an awesome voice. Amazing album.
OutKast
4/5
Great album. Forgot that it is technically two albums released as one.
Pavement
3/5
Decent enough album. Not one I would have sought out, but still one I did enjoy enough.
Madness
3/5
Definitely can tell it is from 80s, which isn't a bad thing at all. Overall I liked it enough to give it 3 stars

They seriously just took some instruments and made random noise with them and then said a bunch of gibberish and nonsense then recorded it and called it music. Then someone said this album is good enough to be listened to and published it. Even worse, it was put on this list. 1 star and if I could give less I would.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds

2 stars. Would have been a 1 star if not for a few songs but still that's a no from me dawg!! The Lyre of Orpheus is possibly the weirdest song lyrically I think I have ever heard.
Van Halen

5 stars one of the best albums
Bob Dylan
2/5
2 stars but I just don't like Bob Dylan never have and never will. The 2 stars is because I am feeling generous today. Otherwise, his stuff is just 1 star for me. Had anyone else said, "The Sun isn't yellow, it's chicken" they would be viewed as stupid, but Dylan says it and people call him a lyrical genius. He sounds like he just wrote a short story and then sang it. Just not for me.

What did I just listen to and why didn't I stop? 1 star and truly deserves less than that if possible. Only three reasons for this album to on this list, 1. The author of this list was a member of the band, 2. The author of this list had a family member in the band, 3. The author needed song 1,001 and choose this one for only a reason they know. SMH.

No, I won't listen to another Tom Waits album. Does the guy who made this list really believe every album Tom Waits ever put out is so superior to other albums or did he just need to fill 1001 of them and this is the person he chose as filler.

1st song on the album made me want to stop listening to this album. I felt like I was taking a hearing test with all the beeping in the background. I really think if you needed list filler there was better choices than this. Heck, according to fans of this band, this isn't even a record worth mentioning when talking about their best records. Honestly, I would much rather listen to an hour of pure white noise instead of this album. I again wish they had a zero or even negative star rating available. 1 star

This sounds like a free album you got when you bought some unknown MP3 player back in the day. There's a reason those were free and this album is in the same category. 2 stars because it had some decent music to it.

Seriously the number of punk albums on this list is outrageous. It's really a shame that they aren't of better quality. This one is no different. It just isn't really that good. 2 stars out of kindness.

Why do these albums have to make it sound like you're having a hearing test? Half the songs have long beeps and horns or short, high-pitched beeps. It is just garbage noise on an otherwise good album, but because of this noise that is so annoying to hear, instead of the 3 stars I want to give it, I am only doing 2 stars. I get it, you're trying to be edgy but, in reality it is just garbage noise that some people just don't want to hear.

Now that I have heard this album, I need to go and wash my ears out with GOOD music. Holy cow, this album is bad except for the ONE song that was a hit somehow. The Outro track is just them attempting to justify their band's existence. I quit listening after they started saying no one else but themselves could take rock and rap and make an album that didn't sound like crap. They lied. Plenty have done it FAR BETTER than them.
