Probably more of a 2.5 but ends on a high point with riders of the storm

Music is fine, would be much better with a different singer in my opinion

Have listened to this before and it didn't leave much of an impression this time either, all very well put together but does nothing for me 🤷‍♂️

Original tracklisting would probably be 5 stars but expanded/bonus tracks now drag it down a bit

Tried several times but listening to a whole album of prince does nothing for me, this time was no exception

Music for coked up dads whose children no longer love them

Horrible racist moaning, a useful reminder of how pathetic being small minded can be 🤮

Pretty good, not easy listening probably would grow to enjoy more on repeated listening

Would've scored higher but found the unimaginative drumming grating across a whole album, every track has the same beat throughout with no variation. Drums sound very thin too which makes them stand out more.

Not for me, 2000s production makes these sort of songs feel very cheesy

Not as bad as I was expecting, not something I'd generally choose to listen to but have had worse albums as part of this process

Love Iggy as radio presenter but his music doesn't do much for me

It's fine but wouldn't choose to listen to this, preferred them when they started and weren't so relentlessly self important. Too much head not enough heart.

First time listening to this all the way through, clearly a big influence on post punk and new wave acts which followed

When they started to be more interesting

Band never done anything for me, always feel like they're posers who take a lot from what came before without adding anything innovative

Not as good as sound of silence, some good tracks but old people talking really doesn't add anything

Feel like this is the point they started taking themselves too seriously, some fun tracks but also some overwrought more serious tracks which may work for some but for me 🤢

Expected to hate this from start to finish and it was surprisingly pleasant, possibly overrating due to such low expectations but wouldn't turn it off if it came on again

Really good fun funk rock

Good when there's a focused song, a lot of time is spent on a half baked grooves accompanied by proto skits which really outstay their welcome for me

More experimental than I've heard from Joni Mitchell in the past, I didn't know she did it like that. All really good and the variety makes it enjoyable to listen through, will revisit this in future

All very good although the misogyny feels very dated now 😕

Had to listen to this via a YouTube playlist for some reason but was still pretty fun, I always saw ozomatli as some sort of Jurassic 5 spin off which might be wrong but both groups bring positive party vibes and this album is a good example of that

Signed up to listen to albums I may otherwise have missed, wouldn't have minded missing this one.

Impressive playing, would have liked a bit more structure and variety but guess that's the nature of improvisation

Prefer some of their other stuff, this was all a bit too twee for me

Before my time and feels very dated now, sure there were better examples of dance music from this era which could have been picked over this
