Jam bands seem very masturbatory. The people involved seem to be very talented, but I don't think anyone needed an extended vamp on the Ghostbusters theme song, among other things.

One of the roughest albums I've ever heard. Cursory research has revealed that the album was recorded directly into a cassette boom box, and I can't fathom why. The songs seem to do a lot of meandering in the lyrics. Mildly curious to listen to one of the albums with a full band instead of one man and a boom box.
Hard to listen to.

A lot of absolute nonsense on this album.

This seems overproduced to me. It feels like they're trying to capture both the idea of a grandiose huge band with full string accompaniment, and a small indie duo with the small flubs and conversations left in. It makes for a rather disjointed experience.
I can't take this seriously with the subject matter and the vocal style.

Oddly repetitive.
This is the kind of music that blows out speakers.

Very strange album. I think I would've liked it more if the vocals weren't constantly drowned out by all of the instruments.
