I don't like modern pop music. This is a fact. Taylor Swift to me seems to be doing the same thing every other pop artist does. Nobody in the entire genre brings anything new to the table musically.

A sadly overlooked album in its time. Gene Clark was clearly very inspired while writing this album and it shines as a result.
Decent enough guitar work ruined by someone who fundamentally doesn't understand what drums are and the guttural screams of someone with bad heartburn over top of it.
I started out interested, but then every track seemed to be a repetitive drag. When I would find a track I liked, it would devolve into some extremely annoying sounds.
What a great album.

Never listened to A Tribe Called Quest before, unsure as to what genre they even are at this point. First track seems to be starting with a sort of noise collage of windchimes and a baby crying. This is clearly a rap album, and I'm not really into rap. I've enjoyed Push It Along (the first track) and I'm looking forward to what comes after. Luck of Lucien starts with a sample from All You Need Is Love, which I'm pretty sure is also the French national anthem. And also some of Gonna Fly Now. I've always enjoyed mashups and this is no exception. The grooves on this album are incredibly catchy so far. Bonita Applebum's intro is very Ween in my opinion. Oh, I've heard Can I Kick It? before and I never knew it was by A Tribe Called Quest OR on this album. I think it was in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2. In retrospect I should've known it was A Tribe Called Quest because they basically say it. This entire album has some tasty basslines all over it. Would I buy this album? No. Would I turn it off if it came on the radio? Also no. Favorite tracks: Can I Kick It?, Push It Along, Description of a Fool Least favorite tracks: Mr. Muhammad, Bonita Applebum
It was alright but I'm not super into riot grrl stuff.
Bob Marley is an absolute legend, and this album contains a few of his most well-known songs.
This is extremely up my alley, it's some weird upbeat alternative rock stuff with Bjork singing.
I started out interested, but then every track seemed to be a repetitive drag. When I would find a track I liked, it would devolve into some extremely annoying sounds.
Nothing wrong with some old school rock and roll.
Unoffensive, but not my thing.

Listened to this whole album while playing Snowrunner, and it's a very good match for the vibe. 4/5
Cool British new wave-y punk rock.
I didn't find this as mind blowing as other people seem to.
Very good instrumental jazz music. Exactly what I would expect from Miles Davis.
Brazilian psychedelic rock... very interesting, even though I don't understand any of the lyrics.
Suzanne Vega has a very nice voice and it shines on this album.
Always a fan of alternative rock.
Always a fan of alternative rock.
Yusuf/Cat Stevens has a great voice and great lyrics. Not a single instrument is out of place on this album.

Turned out that I knew and really liked Babylon already.
The definition of an instant classic. There isn't a single bad song on this album.
This is the album with Cars on it. Everything else is also really good though.
I've never listened to Parliament before, but I clearly should have.
Interesting
Absolute classic. No bad songs on this album.
This is Portishead refined. I didn't like Portishead unrefined, and I like them refined even less.
When I listen to music I'm not looking to get screamed at by a 30 year old man.
This is the first album that was generated that I already have. I love this album.
More easily listenable than Kanye, in my opinion. Still not a big rap fan.
I've heard a few Alanis Morissette songs in my life, and they're all on this album. It had like five hit singles apparently? That's kind of insane.
I really enjoyed this one. The last track is way too long, but other than that it's a very enjoyable album.
I actually quite like the Cubano style of music, some of which I expect is due to it playing a fairly prominent role in Breaking Bad. It has such a unique sound and style that it's instantly recognizable no matter who is singing.
Good punk sound with unintelligible lyrics.
The B-52's have always had a special brand of wacky mixed with surf rock, and I've always appreciated it.
I enjoyed the traditional Indian fusion with more "modern" music.
What a great album.
The history of the Bill Evans Trio is very sad. The bass player on this album, Scott LaFaro, died about 10 days after this was recorded in a car accident. Bill Evans went on to become addicted to drugs and died after ending treatment for syphilis. They made fantastic music together.
Jimi's estate is too litigious. This is the first album I have not been able to listen to through YouTube Music. It's a shame because Jimi was such an influential musician and this is limiting the potential for more people to hear and experience his music.
Michael's called the king of pop for a reason.
I only know of Fatboy Slim through his bigger singles (Weapon of Choice, The Rockafeller Skank), but this is still very listenable.
I like Elvis Costello but I don't think this is one of his best works.
Not really my thing, and also super long.
Pretty interesting music with some ska flavor.
Strong first half of the album, back half leaves something to be desired.
Really good. Never heard of the band before but I will certainly listen to more.
One of these songs was in Tony Hawk's Underground.
Decent enough guitar work ruined by someone who fundamentally doesn't understand what drums are and the guttural screams of someone with bad heartburn over top of it.
I like The Who, but I'm not really sure they shine as a live band.
Very laid back indie rock. Not super into it.
I can see why people say Eminem is one of the greatest rappers of all time.
This is garbage. Someone needs to tell Kanye 'no'.
This album fuckin rules.
An album with three amazing singles, and not much else.
She has a good voice but it's not my kind of music.
A 5 for Take Five.
72 minutes of newer Dylan... Not my thing.
DVNO is a certified banger.
Not a big fan of Syd Barrett Pink Floyd, it turns out.
Not for me. Seems to just be some very uninspired beats, with not much in the way of substance.
There's kind of a whole subgenre of pop that just sort of consists of "woman with nice voice sings over piano" and I'm not that into it. Bonus negative points for Hard Feelings/Loveless having a section that consists entirely of annoying sounds.
I don't like modern pop music. This is a fact. Taylor Swift to me seems to be doing the same thing every other pop artist does. Nobody in the entire genre brings anything new to the table musically.
I was going to give this album a 3, which was what I normally do with any album that doesn't really wow me. Then, it occurred to me that I couldn't name any song on this album except for Yellow. At times when listening to the songs that weren't Yellow I found myself unsure when tracks were ending. This entire album ran together very badly in my head.
There's something sonically about Slipknot that is displeasing to my ear. I'm unsure if it's the repetitive guitar riffs, Corey Taylor screaming, or some combination of the two. It's quite a shame, because I know Corey Taylor is capable of much more, but I just don't find this very listenable.
This one was extremely hard to listen to in the US. At a glance it seems like a lot of other Robbie Williams albums are readily available, but this one in particular isn't.
Irish punk rock isn't quite my scene, and this gets there even less.
Very strange. Seems to be mostly talking over improvised/disconnected music.
The melodies are interesting, but I don't speak a single word of French. I at the very least have a chance of understanding Spanish singing, but there is no way I can get French.
2 albums in French in 3 days makes me feel like I'm being a little harsh. I don't think I am though.
Some pretty annoying sounds all around on this one.
This is apparently where every Taylor Swift song I've ever heard came from. I was unaware some of these songs were by Taylor Swift.
If you had told me that The Byrds did a country album before today, I wouldn't have believed you.
Hard to listen to.

This album was unlistenable. Not because it's a bad album, but because it's incredibly quiet. Listening to it through headphones made me feel like I was hearing someone else listen to it in the next room. In the car, I had to crank the volume all the way up. As a bonus, the tracks start or end (or both!) with 10-20 seconds of silence, which is just long enough to make me see if the album has stopped itself every time.
I hope you enjoy the sounds of jackhammers and random screaming, because that's what this offers.
Oddly difficult to listen to. Multiple tracks have the exact same name, which makes seeking out a correct track list in this age of streaming music not the easiest thing in the world. Compounding on this, the Deluxe Edition I found seems to be unlike every other deluxe edition of an album I've ever seen. Instead of preserving the original track list and tacking on more to the end, it replaces and omits tracks from the original.
The repetitive loop-based electronic music present on this album is the kind of thing that makes me feel like I'm losing my mind. The songs that actually have lyrics and some sort of musical progression are pretty alright, but 3 minutes of the exact same loop with minimal changes are really not my bag.
I'm not a country music fan, and Merle Haggard isn't doing anything to change that.
Absolutely incredible, and a fitting swan song for a man who knows he's dying.
This album was putting me to sleep with its repetitive beats. After 45 minutes I was dismayed to discover I was only 5 tracks in.
It's not a great sign when I check how many tracks are on an album while listening and think "oh good, only four".
Wannabe Slipknot.
I'm not sure this needed to be a double album.
White trash nu metal. Kid Rock has never had subtlety as his strong point, and it shows here.
