My guilty pleasure, I voted for this, not because it was a reminder of my younger years but because, as a debut album it was successful and also was one of the key new wave synth albums that other artists encompassed, copied and modified. There isn't a bad song on the album, many of the songs refer to the issues of the times
Great album but is it so 80's. It's bubblegum pop at its finest really, you listen to this and then fast forward 10 years to Brittany spears and see that things didn't change a lot really.
That has got to be the most awful collection of knowing that I've ever had the unfortunate to subject my ears too
Some of their greatest hits on this album and through there is the definitive EW&F sound. It does sound a little dated now though, still very listenable thought
No, the voice is unintelligible on many tracks and the whole vibe is very black and downbeat. No from me, 1star

What an album, there isn’t a bad track on it. John Mayer is a very underrated artist, has a bit of a male Taylor Swift/Adele in that his music is based upon personal relationships and he has courted a bit of bad press as a result. Musically it’s a great album, very mellow and easy on the ear, a bit C&W but that’s his background so it’s to be expected. It’s on my heavy rotation playlist and is enjoyed frequently. 5/5
