This is by far the most by-the-numbers record we've listened to from this list. It's insufferably generic with some of the most vanilla guitar tones I've heard on a record. This wave of British rock that made purposefully boring Stones rock is entirely skip-able. It's amazing that this band was around before Oasis, but saw their success with Brit pop and decided to throw their hat in the ring after being overshadowed by the Stone Roses in the early 90s. Just give up if this is all you got. They waited until the outro track "Rob's Theme" to give us an interesting track on this album. Sheeeeeesh Wtf kinda drugs were these folks taking in the 90s anyways? Boring pills? Snooooooze.
sacré bleu!
The CAN man can, and the CAN'T man can't, but what happens when the CANT man CAN'T cant?
Rock em roll
This album is nowhere near as good as their first album. Aerosmith sucks. Russ Simmons should've vetoed that shit. Hmm why am I liking this on my second listen? Aerosmith still sucks. "Hit it Run" - Beatboxing over a song that already has drums in it? Truly a wild concept, and can probably never not be poorly executed and distracting lol The rock samples in this album are trash You Be Illin' is kinda nice.¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The drums on Dumb Girl are so fucking nice, but the rest of the song is bad. the lyrics are genuinely trite, and the repetitive "dumb" sample playing during the hook is so unnecessary and not creative at all. what a waste of an absolute fire drum loop Proud to be Black is nice too ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I believe the vocalist just passed away so RIP to this dude. This is fine so far. I liked All I know a bit. I think people put this band on quite the pedestal before I listened to them (this is the first time earnestly), perhaps that's why they aren't blowing me away. That's okay. Still decent stuff. Music while driving distances.
I had no idea what to expect from this album going into it, but about 5 minutes in I knew it was going to be special. Amazing guitar tones, superb instrumentation, brilliant melodies. This is perfect. An absolute masterpiece.
The synth slaps but I'm just not really in the mood for Kraftwerk rn
This is a nice live album. Very good recording. A great album for a summer barbeque.
Bro, the Kinks are so fucking good. This album is awesome, mono mix or stereo mix. Don't matta. Shits too good.
FUCK YES. This album fucking SLAPS. Judas Priest knew what they were doing.
Yeah baaaby Fantastic psychedelic folk. Can't complain
Bless this album.
This is upper echelon pop music. The production on this album is very nice, tippity top notch.
Bless you, Merle. This record is... *Scott Hall high pitch inflection* TOO SWEEEEEEEET! Merle's vocals are like marmalade.
The CAN man can, and the CAN'T man can't, but what happens when the CANT man CAN'T cant?
This mfer bangs
Metal made by an artificial intelligence for big nerds This album, while not being that great to begin with, seems to nosedive after Jesus Built My Hotrod. Scare Crow is tortuously plodding and repetitive. Whatever elements I enjoy about this album and band aren't really able to hold up the weaknesses the full product has. The production and guitar tones are good, but these songs rarely go anywhere. Some of the stronger songs are catchy and short enough to justify that they don't go anywhere, but man some of the longer songs needed some editing. For example, Psalm 69 (a fantastic title, although the titling is arguably the strongest trait of this album) starts very fucking slow and overdramatic as a way to build tension for when the song kicks in which actually fucking slaps, and then they give like a minute and a half of that and go back to the plodding overdramatic "Praise Jesus" bit, rinse repeat for a verse too long lol It's safe to say this isn't my cup of tea, and it's unfortunate in ways because I actually like industrial, or at least industrial-esque shit like Death Grips. This isn't really doing anything for me, and the entire time I was ready for it to be over with. Can't imagine poor Michael listening to this album, and putting on a brave face to get through it. Lmaao

YEP
Too nice
sacré bleu!
This would've been a 4 if not for some very grating parts of this album.
An easy fiver. What an absolutely ridiculous year 1969 was for music. This is just one of like 10-20 masterpieces released that year.
God damn
Hell yes!
I mean c'mon we all know this is great.
This album was so nice. Not so much psychedelic as it was folk jazz? Not complaining at all. This was a great album!

Unreal vocals. Quintessential country music right here
A phenomenal vocal performance
Wow. This album is absolutely brilliant.
This was real nice.
This album is perfect. Absolutely one of the best albums of the 00s.
Pretty pretty... Pretty good.
Another masterpiece. I fucking love this band.
An all time classic that of course had to be tarnished by crypto culture. Thanks Snoop Dogg.
This is my least favorite album from Bowie. Can't wait for the other albums of his on this list.
This album is a high 4, for sure. Probaby would've gotten a 5 just for how much cultural significance it had, particularly where in Michigan, but boy that last song was so weird LMAO.
Baow baow baow
A grunge masterpiece.
This is how you do Britpop.
Starts off slow, but grows real nicely. Good stuff.
Big ol cinematic rock
Hell yeah
For the love of god, dude. Give me a studio album from them. Why would he put a live Motorhead album on this list? This is not required listening. All on this day, the day of our lord and saviors return, you're going to play a live Motorhead album? He's gonna go back in that cave, and seal it off for another 1000 years of sin and debauchery! I can't deal with this! I won't allow it! Not on this day, the day of our lord and savior, Jesus' return. No. Nah ah. Not gonna happen.
This was a boring release compared to their first album. The production was sterile, and all the tones were frigid cold.
Hell yeah. This album is real nice. Crossing my fingers for more hip hop, or really anything besides Britpop lmao
Guru's a great rapper but Premier's production in this is on another level. Great record.
The best
This was so much better than I expected.
I did not appreciate this album enough when it came out, because it's awesome. Every bit as good as their previous releases.
Kate Bush is an OG
Milky!
This was a grower
Probably could've taken a nap during this. Album didn't go anywhere, but had interesting production at times. Not good enough to be considered must listen though.
Really enjoyed this one.
I remember this more fondly than I felt visiting it again. First third of the album is as good as any, it is bolstered by the two singles of the release and is genuinely fun. The last 2/3 is riddled with some baffling production and style choices that seemed to have little to no direction in terms of making this a sonically cohesive album. After Neon Gumbo the producers chose to go into business for themselves because the composition legitimately distracts or does not accentuate Monae's wonderful vocal abilities.
I love this era of glam rock. This album was a jam.
This was way more enjoyable than I expected.
Another album I actually enjoyed more than I expected, or at least more than I expected to since the last time I listened to it. I actually enjoyed the second half of this one, surprisingly. Nice
One word: GREAT!
I love me some bossa nova. Astrud has such a wonderful voice.
Love this album, definitely a high 4. This band will always hold a special place in my heart for being my first concert.
Wasn't feeling this as much as I thought I would. Definitely not bad, but about mid-way through Janis Joplin started to wear on me a bit then I kinda zoned out.
This album is IMMACULATE. God I friggin love Traffic, and not that beep beep honk honk stuff! I'm talkin' ROCKEMROLL!
A masterpiece from the GOAT.
3+3=3
Huge fan of Marcus Garvey, so unsurprisingly a tribute record to him by a reggae band is really fucking cool.
The first half is iconic, the second half hurt my ears, and I used to make noise for crying out loud.
One of Kanye's finest works, and definitely one of the most formative albums of the decade.
An absolute classic. One of my favorite albums of the 60s.
This era of 70s post rock or glam whatever you wanna call it was the friggin bees knees. This album is an easy fiver.
This is simply marvelous.
This horned out mf really made some masterful music.
This went on for so long.
This was pretty nice.
Prince really could not do wrong. Everything he did worked. What a master.
Hell yeah. This was great. Lots of great sampling.
An absolute masterpiece. Sade was a god of this shit.
Man, ya gotta love Q-Tip. A model of consistency.
This album had a bit of a lull in the middle, but damn the bookends are incredible.
Duh
The vocalist spent a lot of time listening to David Bowie, and I love him for it.
What a fucking banger
Pretty friggin good pop
The fucking narrator 😒
OY I'M BWIT ISSHHHHH
Meh
Anxiety inducing stuff. An interesting sound tho?
No thanks
Listened to this at work and was distracted through some of it. There was a lot I liked and some I didn't. Not a bad record
Really not my thing. Self-indulgent music
An excellent two hour album
What a charming young album!!
This band doesn't know how not to fuckin rock
Perfect album to smoke this j to. 🤣
I just listened to this stupid FUCKING album for the best 50 hip hop/rap albums of all time, and it sucks. Throw this out into the trash
Probably the best album of all time.
